Custom Content CAN CORRUPT YOUR GAME!!!! Just beware of that. It shouldn't corrupt your computer as long as you're not clicking on ads and stuff and if you see something download that isn't CC get it out of your computer (put it in trash and clear trash) but beware you can download bad CC which will cause your game to not load/freeze/crash and it's a pain to figure out which CC it is. If you take it out tho, it shouldn't still be fucking with your game.

But when i downloaded resource.cfg it already was unzipped and the icon was like a blank piece of paper, so i clicked on it and it said: "There is no application set to open the document “Resource.cfg" " Then it gave me the option to choose an application. Idk what to choose, should i choose the sims 3 or something else?
This is late, but if the file is already a .cfg file it doesn't need to be unzipped! The file that the girl downloaded in the video was a .zip file so she needed to unzip it. The Sims 3 doesn't come with a mod folder so when you go into the files, make a mod folder and put the resource cfg file in there and you should be good to go.
It might be the CC you download (some CC can corrupt your game) or your computer might just not be strong enough for it but a desktop mac should be strong enough
when i tried to extract the .packaged file, it turned out to be a .7z, and i tried to extract it again, it turns out to be .packaged again, there's no folders. im trying to download skintones
YES. I have two Mac's (a big desktop and a MacBook Pro) and on my desktop, it worked for a good couple of years until all of my store bought and custom content disappeared (which was my fault because I downloaded bad cc) so I redownloaded the game, didn't work. I decided to try it on my Macbook and I think my computer is too old or too full of random files and stuff to work it properly because it freezes up and is just really weird. I have to run my game every single time I add a new piece of custom content (even if I know it's safe good content) just because sometimes the loading screen will just be black for all of eternity. On top of that, it doesn't work with any expansion packs (the loading screen will be black and never load) and just playing with the base game get's super boring and annoying when you know you've spent hundreds to be able to play with seasons and generations and futures and stuff. Sadly I've had to basically stop playing Sims because of these glitches. All of these things are either mine or my computers fault though.

An easier way to extract the resource cfg is to double click, two clicks and there!
im doing everything you're doing but for some reason when they are extracting they are coming out as documents. Help?

keka doesn’t download as an application on my mac. it downloads as keka-1.0.4-intel-2.dmg
Click on it. I did that and it gave me the option to make it as an application.
