I own one and other mia strats, this one is the best, mega stable, super sustain, 11 tones, awesome 9.5-14 radius, feels better than a custom shop and more versatile just the humbucker has to be lowered, and the n3 neck raised a bit That’s all, it so perfect and noiseless, perfect modern strat, looks like all strats but u can feel the evolution, I hate the “ road worn concept” new is new like a new girlfriend Or do u prefer a worn? Hahaha just kidding.
Hmm sort of, boutique would probably more accurately describe the custom shop guitars. Deluxe tend to be hot-rodded, artists' refinements and modded versions of the standards. So you get neat modern additions like the s1 switch, for example. Cheers for watching Sam!
I like my 2015 mexican start hss some of the mexico ones are better than the american you just have to test them..The factories are so close together I heard they actually switch the boys and necks when one shop is running low bits just the stamp made in?? and the pickups thats the only thing different,,You can buy 3 fender american pickups for 130 to 160 on amazon..
GamingRisen Hi! I'm not mentioning the common "hum" from traditional single coils. I usually have "problems" with "buzz" (strings scraping the "frets") that sometimes my luthier has to deal with to solve (sometimes raising the height of the strings). With JUMBO frets (far bigger than the "medium jumbo" ones), I wonder if this kind of unwanted noise would be more frequent - other "deluxe strats" are eqquiped with the "medium jumbs"... I also have a strat eqquiped with Fender vintage noiseless pickups - so, that's not what I meant, I hope you undestand now! Regards!
Christian Paul Roldan I do not understand what you mean about "crown of the frets"... Are you mentioning the "nut" or the "intonation controls" at the bridge? If the last one, this is quite more difficult when the radius is 9.5"... Regards!
what i mean is the top of the frets. . you can find any video here in youtube about fret buzzes. . search this (Guitar Frets - Jumbo vs. Medium vs. Small - Size Comparison)
No not useless I've got a 2006 I stripped it took it to a autobody 100$ paint classic white KGC brass hardware trem, block springs template saddles $130/3emg sa actives,$200,+ plus I gave $275 if I remember at the pawn, it plays great still cost less than a rock stars +I did it
Jeff Nickoloff I love the jump in volume, no need to use a boost pedal. It's great when you're playing rhythm on the neck then flick to the bridge for a solo.
What if you want to solo on the neck pickup? Use the bridge position for rhythm? I'd much prefer to use a pedal. because then I have control to get sounds I want, and not limited by what the guitar can do.
Jeff Nickoloff I noticed that too. I've got a shawbucker in my strat bridge and some seymours middle and neck. The balance is perfect. And mine wasn't set up at Fender
The volume jump is because the "passing lane" a.k.a. "blower" button bypasses the tone and volume pots, along with the switch, and all that extra wiring, and there is NO attenuation as there would be with a typical setup... even a 250k volume pot makes a tremendous impact on the tone and volume level... I have this guitar and if I just switch back and forth between pickups with the 5-way switch, the balance is superb!
the button makes the bridge pickup SUPER hot!!!! Since it has NO attenuation from the pots, switch, or wiring, it's awesomely huge... loud, and BRIGHT! I wish in this vid he would have compared the tone of the regular bridge pickup to the tone of the bridge pickup with the "passing lane" a.k.a. the "blower" switch pressed.... major difference!
Well...I have the "old" American Deluxe hss Strat build in 2011?! even the same color. and besides the diferent Humbucker there is nothing new to it. its kinda sad ^^
Hello! Does this have a 10-14 compound radius board like the rest of the deluxe series? Fender spec says 9.5 radius but in the unique features they say compound radius?? intl.fender.com/en-GB/guitars/stratocaster/american-deluxe-stratocaster-hss-shawbucker-rosewood-fingerboard-3-color-sunburst/
Fuck the haters aaron, these strats play just like there suppose to, I know a dude bought USA lemon $1200+ that happens mex use the same parts its just shipped. there great guitars for whatever
good point- the vids I've seen of this exact guitar through a Deluxe Reverb are fantastic! I don't think a real amp was used for this, if I'm not mistaken... something called an HDPOD? For this level of guitar, I think the tradional amp and mic setup would have done it way better justice!
Quite disappointed with the demo. More playing please! Though I think everybody can listen this guy talking about guitars, there's no point in talking if you don't show how the guitar sounds.
The frets are of very poor quality, the sound is not good compared to my godin LG three times cheaper, the sustain is zero compared to guitars four times cheaper from Yamaha, in short I will not buy Fender anymore! !!!
the best Guitar in the entire History of Fender (with the 1957 strato too)...
Daaaamon Chivers :D...my friend...i have not seen your videos in a year :D...good to see you again!!!
Guitar guitar. My favourite dealer. Great demo as always.
+Howard Forton Thanks Howard!
That is one nice looking Strat!

Cool guitar.
The deluxe guitars are fenders option of a boutique guitar right??
Hmm sort of, boutique would probably more accurately describe the custom shop guitars. Deluxe tend to be hot-rodded, artists' refinements and modded versions of the standards. So you get neat modern additions like the s1 switch, for example. Cheers for watching Sam!
GUITARGUITAR ah right, thanks!
***** Agree, custom shop are fenders boutique guitar including some high end limited classic runs.
Josh YOSH I loved the David Lozeau Guitars.

This reminds me a lot like my jeff beck sans thé S1 switch
What are your HDPOD settings for this demo? Really like the sound
+GILGORE99 I'm afraid I can't remember exactly, but we try and add just a little overdrive so as not to misrepresent the tone too much!
NICE DUDE!
I don't care for the huge mismatch in volume between the singles and the humbucker.
That's what a boost pedal is for!
tried one today not as pretty as a fender should be
nice though more like a hybrid guitar for me
i found it good for rockin out and santana tones
this is recorded in the newcastle store :D
Why aye! :)
Any "buzz problems" with those JUMBO frets? Thanks for your attention. Regards!
Carlos M Its not the frets, its the single coil pickups, the American Deluxe comes with Noiseless pickups that dont have that problem.

Carlos M i think it need to shapen the crown of the frets. . maybe flat?

What style frets does it have?
What type of Strat is that behind the Johnny Marr Jag??? The light-blue one SSS.
+Yodito Nugrahacky It's this one! ruclips.net/video/3nMVuYezHLg/видео.html
I put a shawbucker 2 in my Squier strat, and it's lurrrrrvvvvllllyyy
What amp you on
Wow, I need this axe !... :)

Lamentablemente a mi gusto N3 pickup no alcanza a dar el sonido stratocaster original.
are these guitars HSH routed in the body?
TheOnlyLarsson Hey, these are routed for HSS pickup combinations.
how much?
Geez that pickup is very mismatched with those singles. There is a huge jump in volume. A good HSS should be balanced thru all five positions.
I noticed that too. Maybe the pickup height wasn't balanced.
Jeff Nickoloff I love the jump in volume, no need to use a boost pedal. It's great when you're playing rhythm on the neck then flick to the bridge for a solo.

That button seems pretty pointless
THINCOVER its just to shut of all the controls on the bridge pickup and route it directly into the amp for solos.
the button makes the bridge pickup SUPER hot!!!! Since it has NO attenuation from the pots, switch, or wiring, it's awesomely huge... loud, and BRIGHT! James Trotman Yes, 9.5-14. Mine is the Sunset Metallic with Maple neck - love it! The Shawbucker pickup in particular sounds amazing.
+Bill625 thank you!
Fuck the haters aaron, these strats play just like there suppose to, I know a dude bought USA lemon $1200+ that happens mex use the same parts its just shipped. there great guitars for whatever
The shawbucker isn’t that good I have one on my axe and sounds like just one of the n3s but louder and brighter
Can it be it is a terrible guitar...or should this presenter use some quality time for picking the proper amp and mike..?
good point- the vids I've seen of this exact guitar through a Deluxe Reverb are fantastic! I don't think a real amp was used for this, if I'm not mistaken... something called an HDPOD? For this level of guitar, I think the tradional amp and mic setup would have done it way better justice!

love strats but that sounds a bit shit. maybe the amp, dont know
OH my god an extra Fret!!! why didn't you make 2 extra frets and just chart $300 extra, would be a deal.
Clean sound as formanta USSR sound. prrr, drrr, buool, why think, that s good?
THIS PEARL FINNISH WILL TURN TO
A FADED SHITY YELLOW, JUST STRIP IT, RESPRAY IT CLASSIC WHITE, I USED AUTO BODY
The frets are of very poor quality, the sound is not good compared to my godin LG three times cheaper, the sustain is zero compared to guitars four times cheaper from Yamaha, in short I will not buy Fender anymore! !!!
I don't like the colour...
