I strongly urge anyone who hasn't already done this, to look up income tax brackets in 1955 and compare them to 2020. Propaganda like this film directly contributed to the suffering of the worker class.

Shows how easy it was to hoodwink people through “Economics,” assuming people who owned stocks & bonds back then were chiefly seeing capital gains in their portfolio. And that most people didn’t require Tax Reform/Healthcare acts of Congress to experience broadly similar standards of living…. … back then.

"as the socialists and communists say" & "our system is morally right"...this line of thinking is where the talking point came from that says equal distribution of wealth, and tangible reparations being demanded by Black Americans is somehow unpatriotic. This video was before the Civil Rights movement, so we know the "data" in this video was a smokescreen. This thinking fueled the issues that were outlined in the moynihan report, and they chose benign neglect.
