This kit comes with instructions on how to use it but basically you put the plastic pellets into hot water (I added a teabag to my water to discolour the plastic slightly) until they turn clear, then you have a short amount of time to mould the plastic into your desired shape. They can be reheated and reshaped as many times as you like. I made a thin base over my front four teeth first and let that set. Then I took pieces of the plastic and cut them into the shape of the teeth while it was heated and moldable, let them set, then attached them to the base. To attach them to the base I added a bit of heat to the back of the tooth and the front of the base, then when pressed together the surfaces meld and once it sets it becomes one piece. I actually found this bit easier to do by heating a small metal spatula and using that to heat the surfaces rather than submerging the pieces in hot water and risking losing the shapes I'd already created.

This is probably the best version I´ve seen so far :-* Fyi Bill Skarsgård´s lips weren´t prosthetic - he has the ability to transform them into the shape you saw in the movie, so it was just his lips painted red, nothing more :)

He doesn't have a prostetic lip placed, he does what he calls a "lip point" which is basicaly what it sounds like haha.

Also for the teeth I know some cosplayers I follow sometimes use invisible retainers with acrylic nails glued onto them (usually for vampire teeth, they shave them down, but I assume it would work perfectly for Pennywise's front teeth as well)!

I just watched a behind the scenes of pennywise and the makeup process. That is his actual lip that does that! It blew me away. His face is so animated

also, here's a request for you: read the comic 'pretty deadly' by deconnick/rios. i think nido has it. then make a character look for deathface ginny. it's probably a pretty quick & easy look, but she'd be right up your alley. also, she's got blood splatters all over her for a good portion of vol. 1 if i remember correctly, so that should be another plus for you. promise me to check it out. you'll love it.

Hi! This is a great tutorial, however is the bald cap reusable or just a one time use? I'm doing Pennywise for a cosplay competition and I'd love to test the look first before the day of the comp without having to buy another bald cap. You did a great job btw, this video is super helpful :D

Does Mehron have varying sizes of bald caps? I bought a generic bald cap for $10 and tested it out. There's no way I'll be able to stuff my head and still have it fit.
Or is the one featured in this video the best to use? I want to get my Pennywise as best as I can so I want to make sure it's worth purchasing.

I'm new to body paints and was wondering how you go about mixing mehron water activated paints to make the perfect colour? I want to create a light blue base from a white and blue I have, but I'm not sure whether to mix them in their pans or try to scrape out some of each of the colour I want and mix them on a separate palette. Any advice would be excellent!
Thanks so much lovely! :D I'm pretty much new to body paints too! In the past I've mixed them while they're wet in a separate dish/lid/whatever and that's worked fine for me. The scraping of the dry product doesn't sound like a bad idea though. If you start with the white then add the blue in you'd probably be able to get your perfect shade. Madeyewlook and Jordan Hanz are two fantastic channels who do a lot of body painting and will give you much better advice than I can, I'm sure! :P Good luck!
