I can still remember the first time I heard this song. I was in my car moving from one state to another one, and I was going through a very difficult time in my life. Today I'm in a way better place, thanks to God. From time to time, I will still come back to this song, and though it reminds me of sad times, it is still very soothing to my soul.

I think this is on of my favorite songs of all time. So powerful! I only can understand a little bit of it, but of what I understand, it is so inspiring!
Cada vez que escuto as suas musicas, a minha alma mergulha completamente neste outro mundo onde só existe a sua doce voz! Muito obrigado pelos momentos e efeitos mágicos que as suas musicas proporcionam em mim. Parabéns...
This song is really lovely; it's one of my favourites of Eneida. I've never learnt Portuguese but some of it sounds similar to Spanish, and it seems that in the first 3 lines of the 2nd verse, Eneida is repeating the word "ilumina", which is a foreign word for "iluminate/light up". Also the Portuguese words for "sun", "moon", "stars", and "path" are quite similar to the Spanish words for them. So I sent a text to "OLLIE" (65543) asking how you say the following in Portuguese: "Sun lights up my day, moon lights up my night, stars light up my path" and got the following reply: "Sol ilumina mo dias; lua ilumina mo noites; estrelas iluminar o meu camino", which perfectly fits the first 3 lyrics of the 2nd verse of this song. I presume the rest of that verse is saying something like "life is beautiful".
Is not Portuguese is CRIOLO from Guiné-Bissau but yah but it is similar because the Creole of Guinea is mixture of Portuguese with ethnic languages of Guinea-Bissau
Ah okay ... so you say it's a creole? I've only heard of people saying that this language is Afro-Portuguese, also because Eneida Marta here is also featured in another Putumayo album, one entitled "Afro-Portuguese Odyssey". It's a nice language.
Apologies, just realised I miswrote the Portuguese word for "my" when writing how I got the translation for the 2nd verse, so i'd better re-write them: "Sol ilumina meus dias, lua ilumina minhas noites, as estrelas iluminar o meu caminho".
+abdou dia allow me space to add a few more adjectives to yours: enthralling, spellbinding, entrancing, dazzling, bewitching, charming, captivating, enchanting, gripping
The English lyrics per ChatGPT ... "The text appears to be in Cape Verdean Creole, a Portuguese-based creole language spoken in Cape Verde. The translation might not be 100% accurate due to the nature of creole languages and the context required for some phrases. Celia Elnekave the song is in creole from Guine Bissau, she's repeating " mindjer " which means women, talking about all the things that have gone through.
Mindjer= women it means that the woman is Mother is sweet , strong , powerful , loving and fair ( when he says : Dah cezar qui'l ke dicil = Give the cezar what is it)
