I accomplished all of this carefully (redoing and double-checking) - it still leaks from the bottom of the v-clamp. I replaced the seal plate and all the O-rings, etc. No cracks on the base. It still drips. O-ring resealed 3 times. Tapping clamp. It still leaks. It appears not to be leaking from the pump shaft - unless the diffuser can cause a leak dripping from the bottom of the v-clamp? Suggestions?
Wow, looks like Pentair jumped to answer questions here (NOT)! I think they should have recommended silicone grease on all of the o-rings, especially the diffuser since it can be a tight fit... Also, not sure why they show this on a a new, late model pump, versus an older one that might actually need the kit?!?

I'm having the same problem. Replaced the seals, but still dripping at the bottom. Did you ever figure out what was wrong?
