Though too narrow, my favorite part of this station is the underground bus terminal. I wish more TTC stations have underground bus terminals. Thank you for the station tour.
Lawrence Station also has an "attic" above the platforms, a mostly-unused void space (with some utilities) as a result of its depth and use of cut-and-cover.
3:05 It's important to note that one of the reasons ridership at Lawrence is low is that 54 Lawrence East terminates at EGLINTON station, and that there's no continuous route from Bayview to Young along Lawrence.
When I was still going in to work--I haven't gone in for five weeks now--I would ride my bike up to either Lawrence and York Mills, in part to get some exercise, in part to avoid taking surface transit on the busy and under-construction Eglinton, and in part because my work is on the north side of the 401, whose ramps are dangerous to attempt to cross on bike. Oh, yes, I kind of miss going to work.
Lol you won’t believe how many times I’ve heard new to the city Torontonians say “I would never go above bloor” and miss out on neighbourhoods like Yonge and Eglinton or Yonge and Lawrence or ST Clair west. It’s so cringe. So many hidden gems along the subway and streetcar lines.
I always disliked the bus terminal. Would take it daily for a few years (in the mod 2000's). Bus frequency was low and inconsistent, some buses would idle for a while and exhaust would just fill up the whole bus terminal, can still smell it.

i think 4 stations with underground bus terminals is enough

You can thank the Bridle Path NIMBYs for the lack of continuity where Lawrence meets Bayview...

Lawrence station kinda looks ruined especially the concourse and bus level.
Oh I see you're visiting land of the pointless underground bus loop
@@RMTransit if you like adding minutes to all your journeys I guess it's ok. Although there are probably cheaper ways of doing that.
