Mahalo for your feedback. And yes, the more we (and our visitors) understand the significance of our unique and special home, the more we will all respect and care for it.
A few years ago i was fortunate to visit the city of refuge. Very historical, very moving. The displays, personnel and interpertative displays were museum quality. Some parts were chicken skin kine for a local boy like me. Mahalo for a beautiful, well thought out video.
The Java, Bali and Hawaii very similar, they have many volcanic rock and stone, that why Java-Bali and Hawaii have many temple and bigger, compare to Sumatra, Peninsular, Borneo and others Polynesia island. Tahiti/French Polynesia and Cook Island called it 'Marae' and Arai-Te-Tonga, and Indonesia called it 'Punden Berundak' and Candi. Volcanic rock and stone used by Austronesian to build pond, paving, road, foundation and drywall, some used to build terrace farming, for taro or paddy.

Maunakea is where my seven time grandfather Kamehameha 1 was at and I know because my Hawaiian name is Kahoalii and I am the seventh grandson to Kamehameha 1 and his favorite wife Ka’ahumanu is my seven time step grandmother and yes we Hawaiians had our own warfare and I’m an Ali’i and I got the Hawaiian blood as well so I’m the seventh grandson to the king which is Kamehameha 1 and he is my seven time grandfather and his favorite wife Ka’ahumanu is my seven time step grandmother and I am royalty as well and so I believe as the seventh grandson to Kamehameha 1 I would have to visit the hei’aus and I will take off my shirt when I visit them as well I would have to go their too and I’m an Ali’i as well so my question is because I’m an Ali’i and my Hawaiian name is Kahoalii and I am the seventh grandson of Kamehameha 1 and his favorite wife Ka’ahumanu is my seven time step grandmother so I know that I would have to speak to the Hawaiian gods as well since I’m the seventh grandson to Kamehameha 1 and ask permission to the Hawaiian Gods about watching over Kahoalii 8th grandson to Kamehameha 1 and let them speak to me as well as a Native Hawaiian and as an Ali’i but also as the seventh grandson to Kamehameha 1
