I love this hymn .I associate it with the Christmas Vesper Service although I I understand it is also sung at Easter . I also loved the hymn, Morning Star.

The organ console is at the front of the church. Not obvious on this video, but the piece was performed for antiphonal effect with the organ replies coming only from the pipes at the front of the church, the choir singing in the back. Generally the choir is accompanied by the antiphonal division located directly behind the facade you see in the video. Since this video was taken we have completely rebuilt that portion of the organ and placed a new facade of gold pipes across the width of the opening, rather than the wood grille. The wood columns and other detail remain.

I Love this song! ♥️
Did any other Moravians find themselves automatically singing the second part?
Beautiful!
In the Moravian Church this is sung antiphonally between two choirs. To my life long Moravian ears this version, while nicely sung, is just wrong!!
I agree, As I grew up with great hymn, Emmaus Moravian

yes. In my mind's ear, it's not supposed to be ponderous. But they did a lovely job.
Even as a child growing up in Nicaragua. I knew it's an antiphonal piece. Easter season. Palm Sunday and first Sunday in advent
Nice song
