- Make a Challah bread recipe with six braids. This is one technique that I think is best demonstrated in a video. Once you get the pattern it is a very simple process. Such beautifully clear and well pronounced instructions in a calm voice, and they were perfectly matched to the actions you were doing at the same time. No distracting music, no extraneous babbling. Best of all? You went to the inconvenience of working upside down from your own perspective so we viewers could see the working view we’ll have when braiding our own challah.

I had an utter meltdown last year when I couldn't remember how to braid the Challah. It was a blank spot in my mind. I watched countless videos as the dough continued to proof, and I continued to cry. I sorta-kinda got them all braided, but it was painstaking and I couldn't stop from crying because I felt so dumb. Absolutely the best teacher of the 6 braid plait ever. The only presentation which shows it from the student's viewpoint; the steps are clearly described and a logic is explained so the student can use the same mantra later. What a contrast to all the male presenters I have watched, who are keen to show off their expertise and fail to teach the method! Thank you!

As others have said, your explanation of the 6 Strand Braid has clarity and is understandable. I've watched others that appear quite random and lack the conventions or rules that you share along the way. I made a color coded diagram and moved through the sequence showing where a move was and where it ended up. Thank you so much. Great job! Lets go bake some bread,

Beautiful dough and excellent explanation of your technique! I especially appreciate that you made it so the loose strands were facing the viewer-I can never reorient it in my head when the video shows the braid horizontally.

You explained this beautifully so it can be understood and not just done by rote. Nice job working upside down, (which probably is fairly easy once you know the way it works).

Thanks for saving my sanity. I was trying to follow some advance techniques with crossing hands and always keeping one strand in one hand while the other does some black magic... i was loosing my mind as my dough was not exactly firm and kept stretching and stretching... your technique is fool proof ;)
I have tried this so many times, watched countless videos and never been able to get it to work once until I found this video. And whaddaya know, I followed along and got it first time! Thank you thank you THANK YOU for explaining this so clearly that after watching it for the first loaf I was able to do it perfectly on my own for the second. 10/10 would recommend!
