What wonderful beings has England given for the world to ponder, Mr Petherbridge: I am having a wonderful time listening to your reflections while enjoying your very carefully -yet almost spontaneously- produced clips. Thank you very , very much, Mr Petherbridge.
How odd that you mention Percy St, because I grew up at No.13 & lived there from 1944-1967. I recall during that time my dad worked in Charlotte St & used to drop into the Fitzroy Tavern..
Years ago I stumbled into the Bloomsbury Group story and it's such a delight to revisit. There's something very modern about their collective challenge to life around them and challenging that with their own looks and styles and passions. Sorta like the very first hippies!
Beautifully presented, thank you. I have self published a small run , of a family history story all around Fitzrovia; an ancestor lived at 57 Maple Street, pre 1920s...two doors down from your teacher
Outrageously late to the party, but just wanted to voice my appreciation for such a well put together short feature. If only more of RUclips were of such exceptional quality. Forwards for me to Part Two now. Thank you.
