- More than two years after Israel’s devastating war in Gaza began, the West Bank has become an increasingly volatile front in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

While international recognition of a Palestinian state has gathered momentum, the situation on the ground is moving in the opposite direction. Israel’s government has advanced new annexation legislation, settlement growth is accelerating, and daily life for Palestinians is becoming more restricted and precarious.
In a new series, reporter Matthew Cassel travels through the West Bank to document what daily life looks like under deepening occupation. Starting in Hebron and moving north to Ramallah, villages outside the city, and finally Nablus, he meets people across generations to ask; what does the idea of a ‘Palestinian state’ mean today?

Remember the USS Liberty! 🇺🇸
so well done and filmed and presented. Thank you Guardian, from the U.S.
If Israel have already a political border country, how come they make checkpoints in west bank , it should be free from these Israeli Army and let all Palestine stay there with their family
@qaz123orama1 ask the terrorists who want to destroy Israel.
@issenvan1050 you care nothing about it 😂😂😂
"i don't see myself as a colonizer i see myself as a person who chose to live here"
Said Every Colonizer ever
Unfortunately my response is sensed
We use to live in this land ... Like 2000 years ago
@user_1927And who lived there 4000 years ago?
Hint - it wasn't the Hebrews
@julianduplessis3334canaanites, aegean and other folks tribes that i too amatuer too acknowledge.
Anyway if such paradigm normalize and applied then mongols have the same right to claim most of asia
@user_1927used to. Past simple. You used. You went abroad you didn’t used to live here anymore as majority. Who’s fault is it?
Hearing a Israeli settler talking about humanity, very nauseating
They run the United States hence the Epstein abuse propped up by everyone in this country to this moment
And reading a comment about humanity from a person belonging to a religion which was propagated by the point of a sword in the 7th century is more nauseating
@sanjayanand3958 oh shut up
@sanjayanand3958 We talk about the present genocide and you try to blame a old logo from 7th century ? Blame lsraeI, no distraction
Boycott lsraeI and its supporters ✊
@sanjayanand3958 phull sapport saar
settlers seeing themselves as liberals is so funny to me
yep!
They are though, ideologically. Liberalism has always had colonialism as a core part of it’s ideology of “economic freedom”. The freedom for rich Europeans to colonize the rest of the world
They want the benefits of the system but are uncomfortable with the overt racism and cruelty that the system requires.
But they are. Whole world sees Israel as a nation positioned in liberal western hemisphere.
We middle easterners always hear Israelis justifying their violence as "liberalism, democracy, freedom". Just like the rest of Western countries. If someone thinks liberalism is a peaceful ideology they're so wrong in multiple levels.
@2MilyonTMAs someone from South America, I'll go even further: NEVER TRUST liberals, conservatives, or even progressives; all three ideologies are intent on destroying the entire worldview of the Semitic peoples In the name of the Western worldview. Today, South Americans hate each other because of Western ideologies, however bizarre it may seem, but it is socialist ideology that is uniting South Americans and I am not a socialist, but rather a nationalist.
"if i dont steal it someone else will" - what a joke
😂
its true though. egypt and jordan will never allow for palestine, if israel never existed
@eternallyexistent1 Yes they would. Israel has US money and Nuclear Power.
@andresaliba jordan annexed the west bank, and egypt occupied gaza, until they were pushed back in 67. they had 0 intention to help palestinians create a state. in fact, there were no palestinians. they were jordanians and egyptians. they only became palestinians once they could become a weapon against israel
@eternallyexistent1 Thanks for that .. just wrote it also... but you made it easier to read :)
Thanks for letting us meet Palestinians without Israeli interference.
You could do that the entire time lol
@koocoocroc1235 Is that why international media outlets are still forbidden from entering Gaza?
History will judge all accomplices of this evil harshly. International media, bigots, zealots, governments etc
@Walkerrrr we consider safety of the journalists. So thats why 🙋
@כשףמים2006 Hilarious. Israel caring about journalists' safety.
The fact that they have managed to build a life under those circumstances just shows how creative palestinians are.
Honestly, props to the Guardian journalism for putting out these episodes
Tooooo late, how many decades late?????
@lolavirthey have no choice now but to go with the trend, that's all these news anchors are
@lolavirBetter late than never.
BULLSHITISM
"You protect me now" said the Palestinian guy as he knew he was with an American , so he will be okay from israeli military .... God what a sad life
Quick question, what happens to an Israeli who mistakenly goes into an arab village? what are their chances of making it out alive?
@Shmuel-bp6jg that's surface level thinking but i will still answer; probably more higher than a random palestinian infant living in gaza, but the premise is already upside down from the get go.. since it's not a symmetrical comparison.. the act of violence, i'm talking here about violence on an innocent (almost all Israeli adults do mandatory military service so a settler nation built on top of an already existing nation, with majority of its adults who are technically reservists is not so civilian population you reckon?) also i'm obviously not talking about the absolutely justified resistance against active settlers and colonialists ect.. that one is obviously moral. so that act of violence (meaning: a random Palestinian killing a random israeli (who is most likely a reservist just not active)), although is still wrong-ish, it is also categorically more moral than any of what israel have been doing to Palestine.
@Shmuel-bp6jg😢
@Shmuel-bp6jg lets not play with all this 'what ifs' BS unless you have a solid example of whats going to happen. What we do know is what happens to Palestinian civilians just trying to live their daily life IN THEIR OWN LAND.
Yes it was very scary. I hope the settlers or police didn't come looking for him later. Maybe the video reports can blur the faces of the Palestinians...?
You lucky you didnt get shot like your peers... Crazy how restricted it is there ... this aint living.
thats true this is not life , i never realized we aint living until people pointed it out
probably because he's not actually a terrorist dressed in "journalist" clothes
@benjaminraspael5504 They don't want to hear the truth
A lot of journalists have died by the hands of the IDF post October 7th.
okay calm down, this guy wasn't gonna get shot anytime soon
Bro: I am an American Journalist,
Soldier: We control America.
I heard him say.. "I DON'T CARE." What gall. Such disrespect.
@0z0-l9n We don’t care…
@yakov95000 as soon as trump is done , the money and weapons are getting cut off
@A@Allineveryhand It’s okay I hope that happens,we should be completely independent of Americans money or weapons.
You will, more then youll ever know ☝🏽
I don't see myself as a coloniser, I just choose to steal and live on someone else's land.
From the Atlantic to the India - Arabs where swift and built great empires. Nothing to be ashamed off.
is that australians?
@SuperPavelow that’s how America was formed too
That's pretty much colonisation.. whether u see yourself as one or not. You are. Funny how u say "I just choose to steal and live on someone else's land" as if that sounds better lol, while u people call yourself the first world and care about peace yet your actions and your words prove other wise so openly lol
@Baki__ You can't colonize the land that you own though. This has been Israeli land for thousands of years.
What did I just watch? I am trying to process this and I just can't
Check out double down news, they covered a lot of things between Israel and Palestine, very informative. What they revealed was extremely mind blowing and changed my world view.
😢
Sadly it’s our life .. and there’s a lot and a lot more that we can’t even explain.. it just not fair :(
You're finally seeing behind the curtain where America did not want you to look.
This makes me so mad. Their entitlement is disgusting.
Go drink something it will cool you down…
@yakov95000😂
@yakov95000 Yakov, Yakov, you're so desperate.......
@lat@latralla4577shut up Cynthia go back to you gentle parenting class and drink your Starbucks unicorn rainbow milk 😂
Keep boycotting. Trust me, even though it might not seem like it, it is having an effect. Eventually the cumulative effect will make a difference. And get all your friends and family to boycott, too.
If it looks like apartheid
It smells like apartheid
It is apartheid
It doesn’t look like apartheid
It doesn’t smell like apartheid
It isn’t apartheid!
@F-16isufait is apartheid..simple
@galihyudhistiro proof?
@F-16isufa two different legal systems for two different kind of religious or racial affiliation? That's literally the embodiment of apartheid, worse than the one in South Africa, as mentioned by US president Jimmy Carter, I'm not hoping for anything to get into that empty carcass of your ethno-nationalist colonial brain, but I'm laying down the facts
@F-16isufau looking at it, but blind hearts will never see anything.
The Palestinians been subject to this inhumane treatment for decades.
looks like aparthied
IT'S CRIMINAL APARTHEID.... FREE PALESTINE... ISRAEL MUST BE ARREST AND JUDICAL CONMDENATION, SANCTIONS AND BOYCOT IN THE WORLD... FOR WAR CRIMES AND GENOCIDE NOT FOR 2 YEARS BUT FOR 50 YEARS OCCUPATION ILLEGAL IN PALESTINE AND WEST BANK... END APHARTHEID NOW... JUSTICE FOR PALESTINE AND HUMANITARIAN AID NOW
Israeli Crimes need to be punished
The situation is so infuriating!
That Israel should control the flow of aid is revolting! They have no respect for the human rights and of Palestinians, no respect for international law, no respect for the fact that there should be a ceasefire.
End to Israel's impunity!
End Israel's illegal occupation of the Palestine ans West bank Territories!
Free flow of aid to Gaza! Open all crossings NOW!
Hold Israel accountable for the atrocities committed in Gaza and the West Bank!
We’re witnessing CORRUPTION at unprecedented levels
Those who think they are superior the laws and superior other countries
Shame on moralistic countries without morals
This illegal sabotage and criminal manipulation to STOP
Justice for Palestine!
Israel is a genocidal apartheid regime
😂😂😂
Lol if that is apartheid what does every Arab country is?
@yakov95000shitrahell is a colonial settler entity not a country
when the jeep came and the Palestinian guy told u, "u protect me now" i almost cried
Israel
That was so sad. That man wasn’t putting on an act, that was real life. Israel is terrorizing these people. I see why situations like October 7 happened. That’s just a result of oppression.
@dropspark9468you'd kick a dog and then blame it for biting you?
@dropspark9468 Was the Warsaw Ghetto uprising a terrorist attack? Was it unjustified? When are victims allowed to fight back? Or do you expect all people that are genocided to just sit back, relax, and just take it, because any resistance to their own undoing might cause harm to the opposing side’s civilians? Or does it have to be a perfect military operation with no flaws for it to be okay? Even though the circumstances make that extremely difficult, while the enemy doesn’t play by those rules.
@dropspark9468 يا عيب الشوم
I'm from South Africa. I know apartheid. This is it.
I'm also from South Africa. This is not apartheid at all.
@skulduggerypleasant8261 lol yeah you're right its something waaaay worse
@skulduggerypleasant8261 are you an afrikaner?
Then why can palestinians go wherever they want in Israel?
All they need to do is get checked by soliders that they don't have any weapons.
@eazytv1964 you’re wrong
-You’re stealing my house
- If I don’t steal it, someone else will steal it.
And they wonder why Hamas exist. Palestinians resort to “terrorism” because peaceful talks do not stop land grabs and 🍇.
Was said just before every arabistic invasion of Israel in 1948, 1967,, 1973, 1982, 2001, 2023 etc etc
@ayitiqueen so land grabbings and 🍇 is allowed if you're Palestinian?
@bluestar6879there is no arabistic invasion. There was no Israel without invasion and it’s still invading the native people’s land to expand Israel.
@bluestar6879 who gave so call israeli had a right in 1917 ?
"You have an entrance for the Muslim and an entrance for the Jews".... Oh my God!
Starts to make a little sense in the long run, doesnt it?
apartheid
@69Emoji its the palestiains country, there is no sense bud their being segregated, and shot in their own country
@eireanach2226there being genocide
Palestine was not a country.
This world is so unfair.
7:34 you can see that their children are tought to hate... very disturbing
Literally, they’re rudely sticking up their middle fingers in that scene in front of their parents like it’s completely normal for them 😞
I have seen American children do the same, When I see these things I think of my parents and how lucky I was!
You don't think Palestinian children are taught to hate, too?
I agree fully in calling out Israel for its misdeeds, absolutely. But Palestinians are also pushing Israelis into the arms of the right- and far-right by bombing, by shooting and sniping.
Violence is not the answer. Sane discussions between two sane people (Palestinians _and_ Israelis) work.
Heartbreaking when they're taught so young.
@joelthorstensson2772liberal
hundreds of journalist missing n dead . . . by idf = internationalpls defundthis fumbles!
And where might the interested view evidence of those "hundreds of journalists missing and dead" by the IDF????
“Journalists” 😂😂😂
Hamas propagandists…not journalists😂
Hamas operatives.. not journalists
GAZAWOOD 😂 A terrorist dressed as a journalist is not a journalist.
this video should be a lot more popular than it is.
Thank you for this video. The bravery of the Palestinian people and the presenter/team that filmed this is extraordinary.
I guess the soldiers in the car were afraid, too. There ARE Palestinian terrorists in the West Bank after all.
@Julia-Richterno, palestiniens are freedom fighters, defending their land, zios like those "soldiers " find excuses to commit atrocities.
@Julia-RichterNo there arent. Theres just brave, patriotic Palestiians simply trying to live while being persecuted on a daily basis by the foreign invaders illegally occupying their land, bulldozing their homes, burning their crops & harassing their children.
@HopePeace-hr5qx You missed the part where the Hamas government has been attacking and murdering innocent civilians with no pretense for decades.
That’s why they don’t allowed the international journalists in to see their “only democracy” in the Middle East.
International journalists are free to come,activists who despise Israel can hate Israel from afar…
@yakov95000 "free" You should choose better wording
Then how did he get there?
Ty
@yakov95000
ISR's sycophants are free to come, objective journalists - stay afar.
Fixed it for you.
@calicocat8213 Objective journalist are free,haters are not “objective”
Horrific apartheid. I feel for the Palestinian people. Love and solidarity from Ireland 🇮🇪🤝🇵🇸
What a strong people are this guys 🇵🇸, living their daily life under this occupations.
You mean under Hamas? But somehow Mexicans living in a Cartel land is totally ok?
Looks nothing like an occupation.. best example would be Ukraine right now as Russia occupys it.. Nothing the same at all.. these people are full of shht
@kobman4159
1- Hamas controls Gaza, not the West Bank.
2- Cartel violence is an "us" problem, is not an occupying force trying to displace us outside our country.-
@kobman4159there is no hamas in west bank. if you have racist strong opinion, at least learn the situation properly
@itisnothatimportantOh? So how is this racist? Is Hamas a race?
“When tyranny becomes law, rebellion becomes duty.” Thomas Jefferson
Jefferson was a bad dude ... "Government that governs less is best "
Says the Hamas supporter.
@DonT-z8ibot
@DonT-z8i The phrase "That government is best which governs least" is a famous maxim advocating for minimal government intervention, often associated with libertarian, classical liberal, and anarchist philosophies. While frequently misattributed to Thomas Jefferson, it was famously popularized by Henry David Thoreau in his 1849 essay Civil Disobedience.
We will.
The basic israeli is very similar to the basic german circa 1939
And Question who repeats and behind all of these
No they are a lot worse.
Maybe the basic brit/ american who was a colonizer in the 15th to 18th centuries, murdering over a hundred million people and stealing the land
@Misk394thank you! Truth! Hear! Hear!
To anyone who is seeing this for the first time. This has been going on for years. Now, these days, it is getting much worse. You won't see this on mainstream media, like the BBC, Sky News, and ITV. Watch this and share it, please.
The Guardian is mainstream media.
@joehiggs100 They're independent media, not co opted by governments and subject to shareholders or lobbies from corporations, they just tell real stories. You can stay asleep while corporate media or influencers paid off by the same corporations whispers lies into your ears if you like.
It is getting worse because Hamas chose open war
@OG2978-g7xthere is no hamas in west bank
i know yet people thingking this phenomenon as like rocket science to comprehend. At least manny people aware of this, so thankgod
Apartheid state. Plain and simple.
not
@TheSmoke-bs7ub prety much the definition of it. Was also one of SAs biggest partners
@TheSmoke-bs7ub Terrorist occupying is the correct description
This system makes apartheid look like a day at the beach.
Whats even crazier is, that this isn't even official Israeli land...
What a democracy
If this is democracy where is humanity
9:17 "see themselves as liberals interested in coexistence".
"Hi, I'm just taking some of your backyard here to build my house, I want to coexist with you."
So you support deporting all illegal immigrants from the US i presume?
immigrating somewhere to find a job there and become part of that society is very different from settling somewhere to drive the existing people from their homes and build a new state.
@johnbonamigo5696migrating not replacing! It's very simple
@minasofino Which is happening in the UK by the way, if there are no borders than F it right?
@johnbonamigo5696 Immigrating somewhere to find a job there and become part of that society is very different from settling somewhere to drive the existing people from their homes and build a new state. Shameful news media can have you hate your neighbors and love some foreign settler.
7:34 that's a little boy showing his middle finger
worst parenthood ever
They indoctrinate their children into violence, hatred, selfishness, and entitlement. That "settler"-sponsored children's book, "Alon and Lebanon," is an example of how they do it.
Every accusation is a confession, they unalive plestinian children on the pretext that they would become terrorists when they grow up. Irony is that I've never heard any christian preacher complain about behaviour of both palstinian children & adults.
A sick society for sure. They are the first modern era nation that have people protesting for the rights to grape prisoners, that's how evil they are.
They’re so arrogant and entitled, it’s nauseating
Those West Bank colonizers were absolutely delusional. Total disregard for international law. They seriously just don’t care about anyone but themselves.
איראן מזלזלת בחוק הבינלאומי?
What does Iran have to do with this? I’m talking about illegal settlers in the West Bank.
@yaakov5521Typical, deflect and blame others that are irrelevant to the situation.
Muslims one side, Jews on other side? If this is not apartheid then what is? Excellent piece of journalism, good to see non biased reporting without interference
It isn't apatheid. It's called safety
Safety for WHO, exactly?
Oppression and Apartheid breed resentment, resistance and insecurity,@David-ze3uz; so your comment makes absolutely NO sense.
@David-ze3uzwhat are the military and police there for then? It's evil that's what it really is
@modenadue7690 Safety for the citizens of Israel... like every other country does... What would happen to Israel civilians if the wall is taken down today? Please be honest
@benjafranklin5996 safety for the thieves? safety for the oppressors? safety for the killers? safety for the liars? safety for the monsters???
Those soldiers are absolutely full of hatred. It makes me sick
@14:51 "If youre showing the world how we are trying to ethnically cleanse Palestine, we have a problem."
Why if it's the truth
The difference between ordinary Palestinians and American is that one group knows they are occupied
@removetrump-u9v😂😂😂😂😂
@removetrump-u9v More Americans are starting to see the occupation of USA by Israel but sadly it was at the cost of many Palestinian deaths 😢
@ayitiqueenYes buying our government through AIPAC and other lobbying groups, infiltrating evangelical mega churches to indoctrinate youth, taking over TPUSA, collaborating and training military, border security and ICE. Now we are being forced into war with Iran even though it isn’t in US interests and a majority of Congress don’t support it. The US is carrying far too much debt thanks to these wars!
imagine you've to close your shop because some bunch of cowards have to tour through your place... unbelievable
والله جبان الذي يرضى بالذل ...تذكرو غزة الذين لا يرضون الذل
“What do you want for the future?” “To get married.” 🥰 These people are just trying to live their lives. On land they’ve lived on for literally thousands of years. I can’t even fathom how they remain so resilient under the most brutal of occupations. Such beautiful people.
Sick society
Why can’t this be shown on mainstream media?
It is !
Cause it's actual journalism. what do you expect?! They show the truth or something? /s
@omarkhaledk11Although mainstream media speak the truth they just conveniently leave out the relevant narratives.
The guardian is mainstream
I have friends from both sides, and I must say that my Palestinean friends are all among the most gentle and sweet people I have ever met.
Only the most gentle and sweet have managed to stay alive in those circumstances as they are figuratively being slapped to the face every ten seconds. Brutal
How people are not still aware of it
❤
It's disgusting to watch
@yaakov5521 s'il te plait,ne met pas d'huile sur le feux
@yaakov5521 Israel does not protect arabs, dont lie
תסתכל סרטונים מאיראן שתמשיך להגעל
@yaakov5521 one evil does not cancel another out.
Traveled there several times myself, it is absolutely infuriating how the idf just straight up refuse to give you any information about why they are telling you to do the things they are telling you to do. Its so annoying when the information they would be volunteering is not sensitive in any way, once they made me walk an hour out of my way to avoid one street (others i wasnt allowed to walk on as it was settler only, hence the major delay) and i kept repeatedly asking them why, in both english and arabic (i am an american btw i am white as they come i just enjoy learning languages, working on my 4th one rn) and for 20mins they refused to give me an answer, which was that two people got in a minor fistfight and had to be pulled apart and questioned. They could have just told me that to begin with and i would have walked away understanding, but no. They refused to tell me anything even when i knew they could understand me perfectly, and just said "deal with it and do what we tell you", as if they were hoping id get angry so that they could get angry back and exert their authority over me to give me a hard time. Keep in mind i was never hostile or threatening or insulting, or anything other than polite to any of them the whole time. After 20 minutes of just refusing to accept no answer as to why they were ruining my plans and sending me an hour out of my way their captain came up to the checkpoint and talked to me, at first also refusing to give me a reason and demanding blind compliance but after i made it clear i wasnt going to give up for the sake of my own dignity he finally told me. I then asked him why all of them were so adamant to keep that basic and harmless knowledge from me when there didnt seem to be any reason for them to do so and he just said "you got your answer, leave without saying anything more or you will have more problems", and took a picture of me and my passport with his smartphone(relevant later) to which i just cut my losses and left. Its very, very true that they are literally looking for a reason to start problems with people for the ego trip, half the soldiers looked younger than me and i am in my early 20s. Even if they were ordered to not tell me they could have just politely said to me something like "we cant really tell you right now but we have to ask that you just go" and i would have immediately accepted that, thanked them for answering me, and left, because they would have respected my dignity and not simply barked at me like a dog. Wouldnt have cost them anything and would have made their job easier. but no, even though i was very nice, polite and respectful, and never once challenged their authority the whole time they just had to immediately be hostile and belittling and threatening (they repeatedly rested their hands on their clubbing batons and rhythmically tapped them with their fingers while staring me dead in the eye, clearly threatening to beat me) and no, there was no news in the area about any sort of attack or 💣 threat over the next few days, and i asked multiple locals one street away if anything other than the small scuffle had happened and they said no, and the two men werent even injured but were being detained. For days after when i was in the area i would get stares from idf at checkpoints and several times stopped and frisked, clearly my name, face and passport were shared by the captain onto some watchlist for that area (when i travelled to other places i didnt experience anything else). At first i honestly couldnt believe how intense the response was to me just asking questions and refusing to leave until i got an answer. i never had a history of lawbreaking there or being a political activist either. I soon came to learn that this was the norm there. Untrained teenagers wielding assault rifles on every street corner constantly told from birth that the entire rest of the world hates them and wants to destroy them, in charge of controlling a completely seperate indigenous population by force. Fear and hatred dictate most to all of their actions while on the clock, while wielding virtually unchecked power of life and death over everyone who walks past them. Perhaps it was because i spoke arabic and was clearly friends with palestinians. Perhaps it was due to the friction between american youth and israel at the time leading then to assume i travelled there to undermine them and attack them in some way. Perhaps they just didnt like the fact that i didnt unquestioningly do what they said like i was their trained animal on a leash. Maybe they really were paranoid about me, maybe they were just trying to give me a hard time, i dont know, but the entire place is just completely insane, especially recently.
I saw a 4 year old showing the middle finger to the camera. I didn't know what that shit was until I turned 10 years old, and I didn't even have a religious family
Welcome to the only democracy in the middle East
WTF is entrance for Muslims and entrance for Jews?!?!?!
Apparently it’s not an Apartheid. It’s the only democracy in the middle east
Safety concerns
I stopped by Bethlehem 3 years ago when I was visiting Jerusalem and other places. We were taken to a restaurant owned by this kind Palestinian man with a warm smile and kind eyes. The kind of smile that automatically makes you smile back even if you've had the worst day of your life. I felt it was so unfair that these people should have to live in conditions like this, treated like this just because they were born on the wrong side of that blasted wall. Nobody should live like that.
@6:02 Excuse me? If this right here doesn’t scream the textbook definition of apartheid, I don’t know what does.
right...
This is no different to growing up in the north of Ireland in the 70’s and 80’s. British troops and the police stopped, searched and harassed you.
Its way way worse in Palestine!
Way worse the Brits weren't after stealing all the land and replacing the irish! Palestinians have had it worse whenever compared with any population in history
I don’t remember Irish fighting war to erase and butcher every British person in Britian,I don’t remember Irish claiming all of Britian as Ireland,Arab wanted all or nothing they will get nothing…
@yakov95000 Because it was the British that tried to cleanse Irish not the other way around.. Guess what Israelis can buy our politicians but you can never buy the population ... come on and try it on public
Are you a loyalist?
The wildest part is that a lot of these people are indistinguishable except for their language and faiths
I can feel all the tension through my phone but this guy is a good host though
Thank you for giving us a glimpse into the lives of Palestinians and the day-to-day goings on. There's a real rawness to the footage and reporting style.
7:32 everybody please take a close look at the little boy this is how their raising their next generation to continue the hate just sad
We have a proverb “He hit me first, then cried, and ran ahead of me to complain.”
This has always been their way. When they commit a crime, they deny it, and then shamelessly blame others if they revolt
All of this is so sickening. And it seems impossible for me (American) to DO anything to help. Protests are useless. Elections seem useless (so far). As an individual I could try to not pay taxes, but what does that do? We would need MANY to stop paying to force a change let alone a conversation. It's all so sickening.
Protests are not useless. Join the floitilla.
Im with you the one thing im trying to do is make sure whoever i vote for is not Israel owned
The issue is that every politician supports and bends down for Israel the first political that says no to Israel will have my vote
7:33 That kid gesture tells you everything about that state
Liberal Settlers interested in co existence!! What a joke
"This used to be our land too" Pretty sure south africans and other colonisers could say the exact same thing if they believe in evolution and argue all humans are from africa.
No, they have a proven record of ancestors living in this land before being displaced by the Romans. They are native to the land with a longer history there than anyone else. What we call Palestinians today are mostly arab people who came when they were gone.
Im not justifiying what they are doing today, but that point is valid.
Palestine is a region, not a country. Before 1948, Israelis who lived there were called Palestinians. Everyone was.
@eduardvoth3000not really
@galihyudhistiro Not really, what?
@galihyudhistiro dude, they live all together there at one point, what you on about?
7:34 it sickened me on how they just simply make a "tour" to the place and asked the whole palestinean to close their shops
I can never ever listen to any occupier
Their ideology and self obsessions remains a consequence to their illegal occupation on Palestinian land.
I never knew it was this bad. I cant imagine how bad the off limit areas where cameras aren't allowed must be. Hopefully these people can become very soon
Israel
please watch the rest of the series. it’s enlightening
those two settlers wasted an absurd amount of air saying absolutely nothing..
why didnt you ask the settlers if they would be happy to be palestininians citizens as they are living on plaestininan land?
Just because somebody lives in the UK doesn't need to become an imperialist with bad teeth and food.
I don't whats thr point you're trying to imply here, they'll obviously say no lol
Obviously they may say no
@Baki__ I think, in fact I'm sure it was sarcasm!
@gail9299i was worried its not so replied with a safe statement lol
is it just me who saw that kid give a middle finger ? wow
Enraging
Ever since genociders appeared on the face of the earth, humanity has never known peace.
that was a great video. im waiting for the next episodes with excitement
I like how those two Israeli women didn't think that international laws apply to them or their ILLEGAL settlements. Talk about entitlements!
I think their mindset was more so that they understand that both sides are unwilling to compromise even by a micro cm. Israel is unwilling to compromise and Palestine is unwilling to compromise. So from their mindset whether they live in Tekoa or not, the issue of the day, will not be fixed. They're in the mindset that nothing they do, or don't do, is going to make peace between the two people. It's just futile at this point. So they just live their lives the way they live their lives.
@everestandlightsyou understand they are directly contributing to that as well, if they “did nothing” they wouldnt have settled in Palestinian territory
@everestandlightsI'm not sure what to say, but I think you are very very wrong
@pookybear53 and why is that?
14:18 grown man had to ask journalist to protect him.......... Pretty brutal
7:34 the kid is flipping us off... this is the nurturing of Israel.
Just finding reasons to justify your hatred
10:30 a criminal saying the law is over, surprise surprise
Sinwar !
"I dnt see myself as a colonizer" is the most colonizer thing to said.
14:15
-you protect me now
-shit.
mind-blowing 🤯
heart breaking
Now you guys need to protect me now 💔
To anyone saying this video is full of lies, name them.
It’s a very one sided video that fails to capture it from both angles. For instance, when one of the people he was talking to mentioned how the large wall was like a prison, he failed to mention that it didn’t exist until Palestinians crossed over and killed Israelis in terror attacks
@poopycarrots7906what you don’t seem to understand about being a “liberal democracy,” is that crimes being allegedly committed doesn’t justify mass infringement of human rights - it is wrong to make all Palestinians second class citizens if only some committed acts of terror
@poopycarrots7906😂 illegal occupation and apartheid by a European settler project is one sided.
@jenanal-muraikhi8858no the video is one sided
@salaarakbar2534 really were cafes and buses allegedly blown up in the 2nd intifada
Thank you for your bravery in showing this to the world.
Me seeing a Palestinian Christian for the first time 😮
an evil occupation

Most of us agree that settler colonialism, ethnic cleansing, apartheid, and genocide are wrong. Yet, paradoxically, it is also treated as unquestionable that armed resistance to these atrocities is terrorism and unacceptable. Colonial descendants are often uncomfortable with any form of resistance to colonization that is not muted or unreasonably peaceful, expecting the oppressed to seek justice only through means that pose no real challenge to the status quo. As Malcolm X observed, "If you’re not ready to die for it, put the word ‘freedom’ out of your vocabulary.” Similarly, Frederick Douglass noted, "Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will." These expectations of passive submission ignore historical realities in which resistance, including armed struggle, has played a role in liberation movements, from anti-colonial struggles in Ireland to Algeria, Vietnam, and South Africa.
Amen
Yes indeed,It’s the ONLY UNIVERSALLY UNDERSTOOD LANGUAGE.
I can't aggree with you more.
unarmed violent resistance is also very successful if armed resistance is not an option. All forms of resistance work well together but statistically unarmed violent resistance has been the most successful from a pure numbers pov. That doesnt mean that its the best just that factors have aligned in the past for it to be the most successful.
8:55 'Where should we park, anywhere?' is hilarious
😂😂😂😂
Watching that IDF soldier @1:31 handle his weapons tells you everything you need to know about those people.
12:16 she clearly doesn’t understand international law. America can’t just go set up a settlement across the Mexico border. Why does she feel Israel is different
America literally did exactly that
Doing the same bs as isreal (and worse btw) is how they became the global police, also why they’re mentoring isreal right now
The 'two-state solution' has always been a tragic farce. A state-within-a-state is not a credible solution to this endless conflict between displaced & dispossessed Palestinians versus a heavily militarized Jewish ethnostate, backed by the world's military superpower, the United States. I truly believe that ONE state for all Jews & Muslims & Christians is the only viable solution, in the end.
Matthew Cassel, a first class report.
Wow, USA's closest "ally" treating their citizens in this manner. 😮
These Palestinians are not Israeli citizens
Dude..I meant the reporter.. my bad😉
ICE is trained by IDF, they killed already people in USA
the USA was built the same way as this
@SG21-06 as far as I know, he's not a citizen of Israel
what statehood, israel has de facto annexed west bank according to ICC assessment on the continued occupation.
ICC = irrelevant joke organization supported by Russia, China, Iran, N Korea & Libya.
@bluestar6879rome statute is ratified by 125 countries
@essem123
Biggest democracies on the Globe - India & USA did not ratify it. Neither did Israel.
So it is an irrelevant farce.
@bluestar6879countries from the birthplace of democracy have. ICC sets legal standards, countries enforce by consent, if violation occurs in a ratified country the court gains jurisdiction.
😢thank you for sharing this beautiful story I didn’t know the people were so normal and kind
This was so interesting to watch. I just cannot believe how the Israelis' can continuously get away with this. When they questioned the reporter & he stated I'm an American Reporter, the army guy, said something like, it doesn't make any difference. In my mind, I'm thinking, it should because America is the country financing you!
America barely finance Israel.
@rasslakk Israel has a GDP of around 500 billion and the US funded around 300 billion to Israel, so how is that barely?
@LaLahjan they have a 500 billion GDP annually each year. Thats domestic. They receive 3 billion in aid annually, accounting to nearly 300 billion since 1948, accounting for all types of aid. 3 billion each year that Israel has to rely on and only spend on american weapons, is both helpful and sabotaging for Israel. Sure, they get more weapons, but that means they have to rely on the US. Also, you are confusing a total amount of aid, and saying that accounts for their GDP, thats not how that works. Israel produces 500b GDP annually, and receives on average 3b on average in aid from the US annually.
07:34 I just can't believe you are told to go home because some people want to have a walk so painful 😔😔
Breaks my heart to know everything and have no power to make any change
Thank u for some real journalism
Thanks to the guardian and the journalists for making this.
Israel has uprooted olive and oak trees, and institutions (such as the JNF) have planted millions of trees, many of which are non-native species like pine and eucalyptus, which originate from Europe or Australia
Aleppo pines are native to the Mediterranean.
Israel has planted 250 million trees since 1948.
Thus, returning the land to its original mediterranean flora.
Actually, it was the arabian colonists who destroyed all the native forests since their illegal invasion in the 7th century,
If true , Eucalyptus is bad news.
the hipster: "like... about legality?? Like, I don't know... like I love my life".... worst even than a fascist with a gun is a person who actually looks like the ppl you meet at a bar near you, yet they are criminal fascists. That's the true terror for me, personally
They're so casual about it too, they pretend like they're the most pure people on earth it's crazy
Its not ‘naive’ as she says… its proactive hatred and action
reminds me of bassem yousef latest piers morgan interview where he mentioned the narcissistic person dragging you into his world and they are always the victims.
Only one country is allowed to still and kick hundreds of generations out of their home. 😢
definition of "rogue state"
Rogue state
Apartheid state
Settler colonialism state
Illegal nuclear state
To name a few
@Marta1Buck Israel: freedom of religion, freedom for LGBTQ people, freedom for women, freedom to work where you want, universal healthcare, extensive rent assistance programs. Let's look at Hamas-run Gaza: No freedom of religion, no freedom for LGBTQ people, gender segregation, businesses, departments run by Hamas, schools used for guns, missiles, and command centers, hospitals used for similar purposes, leaders who live in Qatar and Turkey. Hope this helps.
@Anononononymous1BLA BLA BLA BLA..what A nonsense
@galihyudhistiroAnd you say nothing to prove me wrong!
