Man, this song should remind all of you who are still lucky enough to have your grandparents around, go talk to them and ask them to tell you about the "good old days" because once they are gone those stories are also gone forever.

Crazy to think it was just high school teachers, plumbers, farm boys, cab drivers, college kids and millions of other ordinary joes who literally saved the world from a real life comic super villain. But they did. They paid for our freedom with their lives, blood, sweat and tears. Never forget.

I cry every single time I listen to this song. It reminds me so much of my grandfather, who was my best friend. He served in The Corps, fighting in the Korean War and Vietnam. I lost him in 2003. My pic is with my Marine son at his grave site.

Twon, 1st rule of thumb when you’re about to listen to a country song: You GOTTA go into it prepared for:
    -YOU LOST YOUR JOB
    -YOUR TRUCK BROKE DOWN
-YOUR WOMAN LEFT YOU FOR ANOTHER MAN
    Solution:
Drown your sorrows in beer & whiskey
    “A song ain’t Country unless…”

When he says “You should have seen it in color”- what he means is:
