Mr. Grabovetskiy, thanks for the great video. I'm just an amateur carver but I'm reproducing this work in mahogany. Looks great so far. Most difficult piece I've ever tried to carve but I'm going to finish it.

It constantly amazes me how natural and flowing your design's are. This is such a beautiful piece. I hope you post more of your work in the future. I'm still practicing with the book, it is a joy to see these plates. I know I have to learn to relax more in order to produce the flow in the acanthus as you do. All the best, Louise :)

Bob Edwards The book is an old book of plate showing each of the pieces of furniture and close ups of the carvings. It is not of lessons but of the original plates for the pieces of furniture this company carved and notes in the pages from the carvers. It is not something that you can get copies of. It shows close ups of the original pieces. I bought it to study the different styles of acanthus leaves in the drawings and do some carvings from pieces of the work for myself to learn flow. I told Mr Grabovetskiy he could have the book when I was finished studying it.
thanks for the pattern. I have to say the instructional value of this video is nil. Only an experience carver will get anything from it. A novice like myself needs to see the steps actually done.
