They didn't seem like simple days to me, just different compared to now. Just like any other time there was good and bad times. Back then didn't seem like nothing special to me in the moment, but at least the music was better. If I could've seen the future I would've tried to enjoy living in the moment a little more than I did.
Man this song reminds me of literally like 99 or 2000 I was four or five years old, my mom would like pick me up from daycare and put me in her little Jeep amigo and this would be playing on the radio... Looking back, I was in elementary school when this song came out and I personally feel thrilled everytime I hear a song that I hear when I was a child as a 90s kid. This is the sound I remember 'playing' in my head when I think of the 90's. Every band had their own charm but ultimately, they pretty much blended together to define the sound of a decade.

I'm now 60 yrs old and this has always been a great song for me since it came out. For those of you who are a bit younger, this song is eerily reminiscent of something the Beatles may have recorded in their early days. It definitely sounds like a Lennon/McCartney composition-especially the melody of the part " just close your eyes and I'll take you there". It makes mention in the song "like a song from another time". I know they were talking about the Beatles!

It's Summer everyone, I remember this song during the final weeks of school after it came out. The hot summer nights on the coast where I live. Playing PS1 and N64 games with my older bro and my pals till late at night. Cool drink in my hand while learning to grill with my step-dad. It's like Calvin said in Calvin & Hobbes, "There's never enough time to do the nothing you want."
So I say, bring back the Summers you knew in your youth. Get out there and treasure it with your friends/family, your BF/GF, make those moments together whether you're camping or on the beach.

I'm now 60 yrs old and this has always been a great song for me since it came out. For those of you who are a bit younger, this song is eerily reminiscent of something the Beatles may have recorded in their early days. It definitely sounds like a Lennon/McCartney composition-especially the melody of the part " just close your eyes and I'll take you there". It makes mention in the song "like a song from another time". I know they were talking about the Beatles!
The melody has a 70s feel to it for me; still one of my faves.
