Ped's initial idea of going into a free roam makeover session makes me want to see them do other things in gta. Like playing some of the missions/heists, trying other gamemodes (custom or official), potentially some rp, or just mess around in free roam (in a similar fashion to Vanoss for example).

I am a fan of the yogs at these maps. I think if people don't crab bucket, it for sure improves their skills. Even if they don't finish. Osie has def improved from when she started playing on the main channel.

There is a fine line of entertainment caused by trolling and then making it pure cancer to watch. Ped used to be better at it occasionally crossing that line (minorly) but after watching this and thinking back to project zombied, he is making the videos much less enjoyable at this point. I’m not saying get rid of the dude or anything I like him when he calms down a bit but hopefully he takes a chill pill and cuts back a bit
In the US so they release around 1pm my time and I always plan my lunch around then. There videos have been my lunch ritual for years. Sad when they cut out Wednesdays an Sundays tho, but just happy they’re still making content.
This felt like a classic GTA episode. We got the troll, the world police, the angry Lewis, the proxbomber. Literally only missing salty Rythian or Duncan and it would be complete.
This exactly, a fair number of the people who complain about Ped trolling would be the same people going "omg XD rofl so funny" when you-know-who was trolling in the old videos.
Ped *really* ripped the hole out of it on this one. I'm usually not the biggest fan of trolling in these anyway, but I can appreciate that others enjoy it. Ped made this experience miserable both for the other players and to watch.
There are times I genuinely enjoy Ped contribution to the video and gameplay. This is not one of those times. He can be an insufferable gremlin sometimes. There's no reason to make a hard race harder with the addition of gunfire. If it was from someone in LAST PLACE, I could see it being a fair equalizer. "King making". But if you're in first place, that's just dickish.

I'm really surprised that they haven't kicked Ped from a race yet. I mean he's their friend but the amount of patience needed to put up with his antics is incredible.
Ped seems like a sore loser AND an abysmal winner. His "trolling" can be fun on occasion, but in other cases - like this video - he just takes it way too far. My favourite part of this video was watching the kill feed every time Ben managed to shut him down; most of the rest just got frustrating to watch, mostly thanks to Ped.

This has turned out to be a very divisive video. I personally dislike trolling when it's done the way Ped did it in this video. It's fun when the person in last place kills everyone once or twice in quick succession, creating chaos and keeping everyone on the edge of their seats right untill the finish line. (I also liked the one where people had to sing or get shot etc) This just wasn't fun.
When the troll is the only one laughing from the trolling, I can't stand it. By that I mean the others have to be actually laughing not just trying to laugh it off for the content. This wasn't fun to watch him be the only one that could do something hard and then make it harder for them for so long.. maybe if he did only kill them once or twice it wouldn't be so bad, but it's still a horrible thing to do. The fun trolling is more like Sjin's style before where like on skyblock he replaced some of the blocks with fake ones so they'd fall through. It was hilarious the first few times, but he also had the issue of taking things too far..
I don't really get why so many people in the comments are so upset at Ped for this one, he barely did ANYTHING. He got six kills in the entire video, if you go and look through it. Yeah he was sniping people, but he barely hit anyone. Just weird that everyone is so annoyed. I guess they really think he was holding everyone back, but most of the Yogs just kind of suck at GTA, and he's at least pretty good at driving. Lewis failed the same corner on the buses five times in a row without Peds interference.
I like fun trolling when it's done effectively so I wanna cut Ped some slack. It can be tough to know how much is too much and really requires reading the room and getting a sense of how everyone else is feeling. Ped has done the same types of antics in other videos with great success (imo) in that it was entertaining and the other players were also having fun. In this case, I think the race was too hard and too frustrating and no one else had gotten as far as him earlier on so it just didn't feel quite right. He was playing the game too and having fun and honestly probably didn't sense anything different, at least not right away. I think it can also feel weird in the moment to be having fun trolling and then realize "Oh hey, people are getting legit mad" and it can take some finesse to smoothly switch gears. I really like Ped and I like the dynamic he adds so I hope that the mixed feedback in the comments doesn't feel too harsh!

If I held a gun to you but shot *around* you with the intent to kill you, would you just be like "Oh well this is fine."? No, you'd be extremely stressed out. He also sniped them in their cars meaning their cars got left behind on the track. Even with how many times he died from Ben trying to counter him, he left a ton of cars in the way and made it even harder for them all. I don't really get why you aren't so upset at Ped for this one. It's like you're just trying to justify his actions. He was being a complete ass in this video for literally no reason.. he was in first and doing the best of them all.. that gives him the right to ruin everyone else's run? Ruin their fun? To literally put *everyone* in a bad mood? You can hear it from everyone.. Osie just goes completely silent really. Lewis is raging (not much new but it's directed at Ped). Etc etc.

I know there is lots of banter and trolling but genuinely felt like everyone was getting a little annoyed with Ped in this video, barely halfway through the video and just feel sorry for the others. Not the most entertaining GTA 5 vid compared to normal.

@@AaronS1989 yeah same. I really enjoyed the eco series it was a shame how that one died. And ped was very productive and a good conversationalist and even his trolls in it were fine. They weren’t overly done nor over the top and it just made good content. But in zomboid it runs down to ped joins an adventure and hinders everyone else’s effort. Not saying Duncan and ravs haven’t done that in that series either cuz they have but it’s less frequent and because of that it’s more light hearted good for a laugh or two and they move on. Doesn’t really disrupt the game for the most part and they still progress just fine
Oh, I'll try! Um. Something something, comedy group dynamics. You've got your straight man, the antagonizers, the peacemakers... Lewis especially excels at taking a host/moderator role. He does a pretty decent job at intuitively keeping an eye on the tone of a group and knowing when to ham things up/change topics/etc. He has his off moments but, yeah... if anything this is a video that could have benefited from a bit more moderation on that front.
group dynamics normally ped is quite funny in his role but i dont think it really clicked for ped this was a already super hard obstacle course him trolling in first like he normally does in races isnt really a good fit
Some trolls are better at doing it in an entertaining way than others. Ped in this case could've executed it way better in this episode, just a few choice jokes could've improved the entertainment value.
As much as I love the Yogscast and these videos, I don't think I'll be watching any video releases if Ped is playing in them any more. Competitive fun and trolling is one thing, but on a map that's hard enough already, to sit there and spend more than half the video sniping people just to try ruin their games is kind of pathetic. And he does similar in just about every video. In the end Ozie and Ben just gave up and drove around the ground and had more fun there than they did playing the actual map, which really says it all.

I'm adding Ped to the list of people I don't like winning... I like it when Osie, Bouphe, Rythian, Ravs and Ben win. I dislike it when Ped, Duncan or Lewis win. And I am neutral to everyone else.
I basically only dislike Ped winning. I don’t mind Lewis or Duncan winning but I don’t often root for them. I root for Zylus a lot too. I love when Osie or Bouphe win, I feel good when Rythian or Ravs wins. Edit: just got to around 4:30 and I realized why I dislike Ped winning - he gets ahead and then spends his time making the race actively less fun for every other player. It makes his wins feel undeserved.
I don't even pay attention to who wins the races, haha, so I can't say I have anyone I actively root for outside of Rythian. It might be a case by case basis since I've definitely been entertained by Zylus/Ped wins when they are actively antagonizing each other (or someone else) just depending on the vibe.
I actually like Lewis winning. His wins seem more earned a lot of times as he is always targeted much more heavily than anyone else when he is doing well
To be fair seeing all of you guys doing some free roam random stuff for a change would actually be nice like penguin was mentioning changing outfits for example
After watching this, and browsing through the comments. I think we can come to a conclusion that a LOT of people want Ped to chill out with the trolling in this series (and others). It's just not entertaining. Hope someone at the Yogs reads through the comments and tells him to dial it back.

Occasionally I go back and watch their free roam shenanigans or the free roam challenges like Gone in 60 Minutes

Disingenuous Lewis: "Yea, that was a lot of fun."
This felt like a classic GTA episode. We got the troll, the world police, the angry Lewis, the proxbomber. Literally only missing salty Rythian or Duncan and it would be complete.
So Ped is the new "man who shall not be named" in GTA races I see.
I thought he always was the replacement. Gotta have a troll in the group for kids.. or something.
This exactly, a fair number of the people who complain about Ped trolling would be the same people going "omg XD rofl so funny" when you-know-who was trolling in the old videos.
I see that im not the only one who got flashbacks... I was just thinking of that time Rythian kept getting singled out and blown up in a specific race

Ped *really* ripped the hole out of it on this one. I'm usually not the biggest fan of trolling in these anyway, but I can appreciate that others enjoy it. Ped made this experience miserable both for the other players and to watch.
100% having it every fucking race is taking away form it needs to be every now and then and not on hard maps

There are times I genuinely enjoy Ped contribution to the video and gameplay. This is not one of those times. He can be an insufferable gremlin sometimes. There's no reason to make a hard race harder with the addition of gunfire. If it was from someone in LAST PLACE, I could see it being a fair equalizer. "King making". But if you're in first place, that's just dickish.
The key to dealing with Ped is to stop playing and don’t react until he gets bored. He loves the reactions and rage.
How does he even avoid the ban?

I'm really surprised that they haven't kicked Ped from a race yet. I mean he's their friend but the amount of patience needed to put up with his antics is incredible.
Ped seems like a sore loser AND an abysmal winner. His "trolling" can be fun on occasion, but in other cases - like this video - he just takes it way too far. My favourite part of this video was watching the kill feed every time Ben managed to shut him down; most of the rest just got frustrating to watch, mostly thanks to Ped.

This has turned out to be a very divisive video. I personally dislike trolling when it's done the way Ped did it in this video. It's fun when the person in last place kills everyone once or twice in quick succession, creating chaos and keeping everyone on the edge of their seats right untill the finish line. (I also liked the one where people had to sing or get shot etc) This just wasn't fun.
When the troll is the only one laughing from the trolling, I can't stand it. By that I mean the others have to be actually laughing not just trying to laugh it off for the content. This wasn't fun to watch him be the only one that could do something hard and then make it harder for them for so long.. maybe if he did only kill them once or twice it wouldn't be so bad, but it's still a horrible thing to do. The fun trolling is more like Sjin's style before where like on skyblock he replaced some of the blocks with fake ones so they'd fall through. It was hilarious the first few times, but he also had the issue of taking things too far..
I don't really get why so many people in the comments are so upset at Ped for this one, he barely did ANYTHING. He got six kills in the entire video, if you go and look through it. Yeah he was sniping people, but he barely hit anyone. Just weird that everyone is so annoyed. I guess they really think he was holding everyone back, but most of the Yogs just kind of suck at GTA, and he's at least pretty good at driving. Lewis failed the same corner on the buses five times in a row without Peds interference.
I like fun trolling when it's done effectively so I wanna cut Ped some slack. It can be tough to know how much is too much and really requires reading the room and getting a sense of how everyone else is feeling. Ped has done the same types of antics in other videos with great success (imo) in that it was entertaining and the other players were also having fun. In this case, I think the race was too hard and too frustrating and no one else had gotten as far as him earlier on so it just didn't feel quite right. He was playing the game too and having fun and honestly probably didn't sense anything different, at least not right away. I think it can also feel weird in the moment to be having fun trolling and then realize "Oh hey, people are getting legit mad" and it can take some finesse to smoothly switch gears. I really like Ped and I like the dynamic he adds so I hope that the mixed feedback in the comments doesn't feel too harsh!
@@christophkogler6220 He may have only gotten 6 kills, but just the stress of someone shooting at you is enough to make you worse at something. If I held a gun to you but shot *around* you with the intent to kill you, would you just be like "Oh well this is fine."? No, you'd be extremely stressed out. He also sniped them in their cars meaning their cars got left behind on the track. Even with how many times he died from Ben trying to counter him, he left a ton of cars in the way and made it even harder for them all.
I don't really get why you aren't so upset at Ped for this one. It's like you're just trying to justify his actions. He was being a complete ass in this video for literally no reason.. he was in first and doing the best of them all.. that gives him the right to ruin everyone else's run? Ruin their fun? To literally put *everyone* in a bad mood? You can hear it from everyone.. Osie just goes completely silent really. Lewis is raging (not much new but it's directed at Ped). Etc etc.
@@christophkogler6220 It's not just for this video. It's just people reaching their boiling point of him trolling in basically every video/series hes in. It gets old real fast. Like @Eventide said in the comment above, when the troll is the only one laughing, its not fun for anyone.
They honestly need to stop picking on people struggling with what's already a horrific map. It's just frustrating to watch Ped shoot them.

Immediately I have to jump in on Ped's basic skin rant: The amount of people wearing galaxy skinsuits or alien skin suits or even the really basic heavily armoured with clown makeup psychopaths that come kill you for no reason makes Ped's skin way more basic in the grand scheme of GTA. Unique for the group he's in now, not so much overall

@@cluelesskhajiit yeah I was thinking about the project zomboid stuff and all he does is troll in that too. At least when they did eco he had a lot of decent content so the trolls felt more appropriate as they were much more infrequent and he contributed a lot more

It's an oversight by the mapmaker, usually the ground is marked as out of zone to prevent that.
Yeah if they had known from the start, ground team could have easily been first (given they could find the airport too).
It doesn't look like any vehicles were spawning on the ground though.
I know there is lots of banter and trolling but genuinely felt like everyone was getting a little annoyed with Ped in this video, barely halfway through the video and just feel sorry for the others. Not the most entertaining GTA 5 vid compared to normal.

@@AaronS1989 yeah same. I really enjoyed the eco series it was a shame how that one died. And ped was very productive and a good conversationalist and even his trolls in it were fine. They weren’t overly done nor over the top and it just made good content. But in zomboid it runs down to ped joins an adventure and hinders everyone else’s effort. Not saying Duncan and ravs haven’t done that in that series either cuz they have but it’s less frequent and because of that it’s more light hearted good for a laugh or two and they move on. Doesn’t really disrupt the game for the most part and they still progress just fine

Oh, I'll try! Um. Something something, comedy group dynamics. You've got your straight man, the antagonizers, the peacemakers... Lewis especially excels at taking a host/moderator role. He does a pretty decent job at intuitively keeping an eye on the tone of a group and knowing when to ham things up/change topics/etc. He has his off moments but, yeah... if anything this is a video that could have benefited from a bit more moderation on that front.
It's so annoying.
group dynamics normally ped is quite funny in his role but i dont think it really clicked for ped this was a already super hard obstacle course him trolling in first like he normally does in races isnt really a good fit
Some trolls are better at doing it in an entertaining way than others.
Ped in this case could've executed it way better in this episode, just a few choice jokes could've improved the entertainment value.

Seriously, enough Pedguin now, it isn't even entertaining anymore.
As much as I love the Yogscast and these videos, I don't think I'll be watching any video releases if Ped is playing in them any more. Competitive fun and trolling is one thing, but on a map that's hard enough already, to sit there and spend more than half the video sniping people just to try ruin their games is kind of pathetic. And he does similar in just about every video. In the end Ozie and Ben just gave up and drove around the ground and had more fun there than they did playing the actual map, which really says it all.
Don't watch the yogscast if ur not going to appreciate all of them. L fan

I basically only dislike Ped winning. I don’t mind Lewis or Duncan winning but I don’t often root for them. I root for Zylus a lot too. I love when Osie or Bouphe win, I feel good when Rythian or Ravs wins.
Edit: just got to around 4:30 and I realized why I dislike Ped winning - he gets ahead and then spends his time making the race actively less fun for every other player. It makes his wins feel undeserved.

I don't even pay attention to who wins the races, haha, so I can't say I have anyone I actively root for outside of Rythian. It might be a case by case basis since I've definitely been entertained by Zylus/Ped wins when they are actively antagonizing each other (or someone else) just depending on the vibe.
I actually like Lewis winning. His wins seem more earned a lot of times as he is always targeted much more heavily than anyone else when he is doing well

After watching this, and browsing through the comments. I think we can come to a conclusion that a LOT of people want Ped to chill out with the trolling in this series (and others). It's just not entertaining. Hope someone at the Yogs reads through the comments and tells him to dial it back.

Based on other comments I'm seeing. I think a lot of us agree ped has been taking the trolling too far. Then whines "what do you mean" whenever someone gets frustrated with him. Ped, if you see this comment, remember there is a fine line between funny messing around and being annoying. In this video you slipped into the latter.
