A 15 year old white boy who sounded just like Ray Charles. I had seen Ray several times in concert then saw Steve with Eric Clapton. Steve played "Georgia On My Mind" on solo with his organ. I closed my eyes and couldn't tell the difference between the voices of Ray and him. Steve Winwood has definitely better vocal then Eric Clapton and can play lead guitar as well. Now its clear why The Blind Faith has broken up. on the other gand if Clapton and winwood keep playing together what hits probably may be created
Maybe 1966 or ‘67; Winwood left to start Traffic. I saw Traffic, Mott the Hoople, Alice Cooper, Bob Seger, Iggy POP & The Stooges in 1970 at Cincinnati Summer Pop Festival.

Looks like 1966,from what I read ,he soon left to form Traffic.Wonder if it was after he did this song.
