De La Soul is Dead is my favorite album of all time and truly spoke to me, especially in 91. I love these legends and will support them for as long as I can.
Touches my soul. Takes me right back to 1991, as a kid anxiously waiting to listen to the follow up to one of my favorite hip hop albums up to that point, 3 Feet High And Rising. It did not disappoint. The perfect set off to a perfect sophomore album. I miss hip hop in its earlier years.

De La Let me know that it was okay to be my cool, dorkie, humble, shy self while also being conscious and being deeply rooted into the cause. They were and still considered to be long distance Uncles to me. And also Plug Tunin was singlehandedly the song that made me get into producing lol
