Just to let everybody know if there are some people who don't know. The building was purchased about over 1 year ago. So now there are people living there.
Such a shame it's all abandoned,it was an amazing support for the arts and young people in the eighties,in hard times. Why did it not get the continuous support it and the folk who made it happen deserve for today's generation?
My guess is there budget being cut and dropped so many times til the Arts Central decided to move to a different location in Milton Keynes. By the way, this place is no longer abandon. Someone has purchased it and is now living there.
The Community Radio Station Secklow Sounds were there for a while. I was trying to guess which room it was, but can’t remember. I know it was on the ground floor. A good friend used to present on Secklow Sounds there, I got to have a look one day. Sad to see how it is/was. Good that someone has taken it over now though.
Hey! Stephanie davies here! That artwork i did about pre 2010 for a youth group that was around that building! A bunch of primary achool kids across milton keynes were selected to work on recyclable huts! I was 8 i believe and im 21 now at university so this was a huge flash back to look at- my uncle brought this to my attention :>
I'm happy for you that you got to see something from many years ago. If your interested I can go get your Artwork Picture to give to you if you like? I'LL leave a Facebook message for you too, just in case.
Hey there, just found your film. I lived in the Rectory for 5 years (aged 5-10) when my parents ran Interaction in the 70’s. Sad to see it abandoned but amazing to get to look inside and see the places I played as a child. So many memories. Shame you missed the hidden room .... but I was worried about you on that roof, it didn’t look safe!
As far as I know the place is being used by somebody but still don't know who. They have built new fences along the outer area of the Stable next to the road and up the pathway to the Bridge over the Canal. I did discover a few hidden rooms not sure which one you might be talking about. The Roof was dangerous but I can mange it, I was wearing the wrong footwear that time.
I see. I'm glad you enjoy this video and that I found a long lost Picture belonging to your Niece. I believe the Picture is still there if you want it.
The location is in the Title of this Video and I've said were it is at the Start of the Video as well. It's in Peatree Bridge down around the Waterside area next to the Canal. It's also near the Triceratops Statue.
my uncle used to live here! we watched the rugby world cup final in his living room upstairs its one of my fondest memories

I did my work experience at school at Rectory Riding Stables, must have been 1990. It's so sad to see it like that.
It's not abandon anymore, Workmen have been fixing the place up for months now, it's now private with new Fences and a Gate.
