This was really hard as I'm in my sixties with mobility issues. He passed away at 67 and I really miss him, but I used to get angry at my parents for leaving me with the responsibility. Of course they're cute as babies and toddlers but they grow up.

I've got 9 siblings, my youngest sister has Down Syndrome and I can tell she has A LOOT of attention. Me and my family know she has everything she needs. We can tell she is the happiest person we know... She's absolutely amazing, lovely, smiley, kind and super funny: she's the joy in my family! My friend and her family were very disheartened about potential problems with having a newborn Downs Syndrome baby. But when she came home, they all totally fell in love with her and her older brother defends her with his life.💕
I used to teach little ones with downs syndrome. That more than 15 years ago. Till today i have no met anyone as happy, joyful and positive as those kids. Im still in touch with a few and they always have a a way of making me happy. Im glad i have them in my life.
So grateful to God you did not give up on winnie. So many doctors convince fearful couples to do other choices instead of keeling our children to give them life

When I was young my best friend's sister was a DS girl. She was an amazing person. She was smart & sassy, love to give out hugs, and had a wicked sense of humour. In later years she had a job which she loved & she never felt sorry for herself (like many people now). I am 63 years old & I will never forget this wonderful girl.

Winnie is so much more special than u could ever imagine in ur hearts…she is part angel since she’s got ds…ppl wit ds no matter what r always smiling trying to make the best out of what they have in front of them…I speak from experience…my uncle has ds n he’s literally the most beautiful amazing wonderfully happy guys u could meet in ur whole entire life even if u lived to be 150 years old…u can not b even down around him cuz he will work ur ass till u at least give him a fake smile to make him happy lol…it’s literally the cutest thing I’ve ever seen in my life…u got ur self an angel…hold on to her n love her extra hard
I have a cousin that is extremely high functioning with excellent motor skills because of the time hos parents have put in. Your daughter has a bright future ahead ✨️ ❤
My Mum had a Downs Syndrome sister (my Aunty). No child could have been more loved than that child. The sisters used to fight about who was going to look after her! They were still fighting in their 40s about it and agreed to share her if anything happened to her Mum (my grandmother) who was very old about 80. Unfortunately she passed away in her 30s as they spoiled her outrageously and she got enormously overweight. They weren’t aware in those days how important weight management was she probably weighed 180kg. Unfortunately it was too much for her heart. Everyone was devastated and I think no one ever got over losing her. She was so loved. These children bring so much joy. If only people knew. Sharing your video will reassure other Mums how special they are.
I have a downs brother he is 59 yrs old. He was the 6th of 7 children. We learned empathy and compassion from him growing up. Wouldn't change a thing.
