You can't change the gender by the logic that its synonym in your language is different. I mean if someone wrote "thande hawayein lehrake aaye" instead of thandi, wouldn't it sound odd?

Oh DDLJ love this movie so much ❤ since the first time I saw it I can't stop watching it, it's the first time that a movie has marked me so much since the first time I saw My Name is Khan with the iconic couple of SRKajol, for me it is the best movie I have ever seen in my life. Although I am going through a stage where I am trying to forget those bad moments that once affected and are interfering in my life, like forgetting someone who never reciprocated my love, I must admit that every time I see this wonderful movie DDLJ it gives me hope that one day I will find the right person who is willing to love me, care for me and accept me as I am like the love 💘 between Raj and Simran, even if years go by, I will never lose hope that one day 🙏 I can find true love. LONG LIVE THIS WONDERFUL, LONG LIVE THE ICONIC COUPLE OF SRK AND KAJOL, WHO AS ALWAYS NAIL IT, I HOPE THEY COLLABORATE TOGETHER AGAIN, I WILL MISS SEEING THEM TOGETHER A LOT💛 🙌 I send you all a lot of love from an Ecuadorian, fan girl of Bollywood and SRKAJOL, born in Spain 🇪🇸🇪🇨❤🇮🇳

Side comment: Raj says that he knows how much a hindustani girl values her izzat. Does he not understand that non-hindustani women value consent too? So if it had been a foreign girl, he would have taken advantage of her drunken state and she wouldn't mind?

Nope its not overhyped for its tym..it is the movie which changed the mom dad villuan run with bf instead talking to them convincing them parents love doing honour killing rather saying ja simran ha at the end...it changed perspective of peopleabout NRIs,about India, about love mrge,it ys humongous n definitely only millennials understand this

The amount of attention DDLJ gets is bizzare to me. I've can understand why it worked then, but it's aged poorely. And it's far far from being the best Bollywood romance, as some people wanna believe. The greatest romance of all time, in my humble opinion, is Veer Zaara. By the way, even Dil toh pagal hai is better than DDLJ.

Telepathetic 😂😂😂 I think this can be applied to a number of bollywood male leads .
The analysis was so on point ! I never really thought about DDLJ 's influence on modern rom coms this way. Also why are you so funny? Why are you so funny?!

Filmfare award for best picture should have gone to Rangeela.
Filmfare award for best director should have gone to Ram Gopal Verma for making the film.
Filmfare award for best actor should have gone to Amir Khan for acting in it.
And filmfare award for best actress should have gone to Urmila Matondkar for acting in it.
Rangeela will go down one of the most underrated blockbusters in history of Bollywood.
Thank you DDLJ for doing it!
And it also should be noted that Amir Khan stopped going to award functions for eternity after all the best actor awards went to SRK for DDLJ in 1996 instead of Amir for Rangeela.
Amir as an illiterate Taporiwala seemed way more desirable and wanted than SRK as highly educated yet asshole NRI.

You never ever understand the magic of DDLJ.. lots of real stories of love are happened after DDLJ. Go and follow your new era movies who are not even touched the feet of DDLJ. My love of DDLJ are go high after watching your childish video.

    In Akshay Kumar's Heyy Babby,
We got to know that Simran left Raj and ran away 😅.
That movie, technically, is the sequel of DDLJ.
