I've been a fan and concert attendee of the Smallbone family since their older sister appeared on the Christian music scene in the late 90's (Rebecca St. James). We have seen them live since 2015 when they first came to our area. Their Christmas concert is unbelievable and that's putting it lightly. In keeping with the family legacy, this year when we saw them Luke's middle son, Phoenix, played the snare with his Dad (he's the curly haired percussionist) at 6 yro and he absolutely stole the show!! It gives me such joy knowing that this family's legacy is Christian music along with their living testimony will continue!! I'm thrilled that you loved them as much as we, their long time fans!!! I hope you have the privilege of seeing them live some day, it's absolutely worth it!!!

Thank you. The instrument that looks like an accordion is called a harmonium. The xylophone sounding thing is called a glockenspiel. The lead singers Joel and Luke are fantastic brothers and have been singing since they were teens. They’re a favorite band.

Thank you Angela for the info on the instrument. I was wondering what it was called. 😊

They did this for the CMA Country Christmas a year or two ago and brought the house down - I believe the only standing ovation of the night!! The other much more well-known artists were floored.

Having seen them live many times I can confirm they are a very energetic band regardless of venue size. In fact in some arenas during some songs they (and by they I mean most of the band members) sometimes come off stage and interact with the crowd (while still performing) both on the floor and in the bleachers. 4K&C have also performed live on various shows: most notably Jimmy Kimmel Live and CMA Country Christmas, the latter of which they performed this very song. If you ever get the chance to see them live in person I highly recommend it.
Fun fact: their sister, Rebecca St. James, is also a professional singer/songwriter.

This song is favorite of for King and Country fans. When you go to a live concert, they always play this as their encore. They will start the intro drums and then go quiet and one will say something like, "Austin Texas, shall we play our drums for you?" and the crowd goes wild. Their live shows are exciting. A feast for the eyes as well as the ears. I highly recommend seeing them live or watching a live concert oniine. You can search for "Arena performances" and see various songs live. So so good!

I strongly recommend you watch the original video. It shows a drummer boy (either Joel's or Luke's son) who walks back in time to bring his gift to baby Jesus. Just stunning!😺

What makes this song great, is its little drummer boy, with drums in it

The sound engineer that mixes For King & Country is Ralph Rivera, who I known for more that 40 years. since he was a a young boy. If you get a chance to see them live, you will not be disappointed with the live sound. Ralph is a much in demand sound engineer out of Tennessee.

HIGHLY recommend "Without You" by King and Country.
They're a Christian band, which I know isn't everyone's thing, but I find their songs really accessible (lyrics aren't super preachy and many could apply to other faiths) and I love their voices.

Wow! what a cool live show! I love shows like that where there's something awesome to see no matter where you look lol. That would be a fun concert. I'm with you, Jeremy, never seen that 'accordian' type instrument before...and, I too, thought the cello was a guitar (sonically) lol. Great video, as always ✌️

I highly recommend FK&C collaboration with Dolly Parton "God Only Knows", & "Amen", Official Video if possible.
Also Zach Williams & Dolly Parton duet "There Was Jesus".

Thank you Jeremy for reacting to this video. Sometimes Christian artists don't get the recognition in the music arena as others do. The video of the Little Drummer Boy is great to see also. For King and Country have other great songs. Again, thank you for your reaction. Sometime I would like your reaction to a video .. The Star Spangled Banner As You Never Heard it Before. It explains what our Flag stands for. It is a video close to my heart because I love this Country!! We tend to memorize songs and don't pay attention to the words such as the Anthem is 2 sentences and are questions? I'll get off the soap box. Be safe and be blessed!

Thank you so much Teri! I really appreciate your support, and also sharing such a beautiful song! Their rendition was awesome! I they’re doing ok though…considering they’re playing in that sized venue, with that type of production…seems like they’ve got a lot of people behind them. It’s awesome. I didn’t care what religion people are…music is music and talent is talent!
The star spangled banner, personally I’d be interested in hearing…but seeing as I’ve got LOTS of people around the world who also watch this channel, do you feel like doing something so exclusive and personal to our country, would be encompassing for everyone? I’m not sure many people would be into this? What do you think? But as a history buff myself, and coming from a large military family, I have much respect for what we stand for. I’m interested…but I fear we’d only be catering to a very small audience who really cared about this. I could totally be wrong though. What do you think?

I will have to agree with you on music and talent. You probably already know this but music is encompassed in everyone and every tribe, nation, religion and in the far reaching people. It's the way we communicate.
Anyway, I will also agree with you on watching the Star Spangled Banner on your own first. I am 70 and wondered how it came about and people trying to change our national anthem. Please let me know what you think of it when you get a chance to listen to it. Most of the reactions for that video are from England and Australia. Funny huh. 😊
      Be safe and be blessed!!

The story in the video you mentioned is actually from the war of 1812, which is when Francis Scott Key wrote the Star Spangled Banner. Unfortunately, the narrator makes it sound like it happened during the Revolutionary War, but the message of the lyrics is absolutely something more people should know.

Another version I like is by Bing Crosby ft. David Bowie.

Which is why I've been saying for several years now that 4 King & Country and Imagine Dragons need to tour together. Can you "IMAGINE" (pun intended) the wild percussion finale/encore they would perform jointly.......

It’s a cello and guitar. The audiences get upset if they don’t do this in their concerts.
