Nice video, thanks! What jack points did you use to for the jack? I couldnt see a way to use my lowprofile jack and get jackstands under the car at the same time. Thanks!
Do you have a video on this cars oiling mods? What are those AN 10 lines by the pump and filter? I've got a remote filter, thermostat, accumulator and cooler - getting a squeal noise and would like to know what a car like this went with.. Obviously not a remote oil filter. Thank you.
“I cleaned off all the metal shavings off of it. It wasn’t really like shavings, it was ground up metal. Kinda like a smoothie” 😂 yes Cameron a smoothie
so my 2015 wrx has play on both sides, is this normal????? i was going to pay a tech to replace the rubber seals cuz it was leaking, and he said he couldnt because he found some play in the bearings
Yes because the bolt threads can get rust welded on there overtime and will make it impossible to remove. But if it is stuck, you can try a breaker bar and a metal pipe and it will probably break loose.
Facts... In HS on a old 80's porsche i fucked up and did that.... Took trans out and had to fill it on the side... and replace. Thabk god that the 944 transmission is only 8 bolts to drop plus axles. So honestly, like a 20 minute job
I'm sure it helps if drain a little bit better. Same idea when you take your oil cap off when doing an oil change. It helps it breathe better when it's draining
What if I told you BPA was significantly better for us than BPS and BPF which are the replacements. Plastic companies don't want people to know though.
random questions, but do you know if its possible to put a pushstart/keyless in a regular STI, and is it possible to put a sunroof in a STI that isnt a limited/premium. Cause i want to get a used STI Limited but they are way more money. Was just wondering if you can put them into a regular STI
lmao just save and buy a limited, thats what I did. Its worth getting what you want. Also the roof structures are different without the sunroof, dont do that.
I brought my 21 sti in for an oil change and noticed the dealer charged me for 6 quarts, he told me the 21 sti takes 5.2 quarts. I can’t find the oil capacity anywhere for the 21 as I was told this year takes a bit more oil. I’m thinking he is full of it. Anyone confirm? Thought they took 4.5 quarts.
Yup it's in the book. My 16 says the same page 12-3 or something near the back. So technically in theory using that fill port till it overflows is potentially wrong and it may be why the fill port located just under the turbo may be the real fill port
No. You always want to undo the fill plug first in in case you can’t get it off. Imagine you get the transmission drained and then the fill plug is frozen in- then you are screwed
This has easily become my FAVORITE RUclips channel!!! Dude I respect everything about your channel and mission. Kudos.
Can’t wait to see the process of this build🙏🏾🙏🏾
Thank you for sharing all this great content to help us work on our own cars.
Clean STI & simple breakthrough , subscribed 🔥💯
Next video recommendation....how to change the rear differential fluid. I like your video tutorials, very detailed and professional.
Yes. This will help me with my Subie!
Love the vids man. Keep it up 👍

Good job bro.
Your STI is narly. I love the wrap color.
Thanks !
Im a little comfused so when you drain both transmission and diff and when you fill it up though the trans you're technically filling up both right?
Do you have the a list of Subaru parts number for all the different crush washers or gaskets?

Does the transmission and the differential have the same fill hole? I am new with wrx
I love the sound of your STI.... id love to know what mods youve done to it

More SUBIEEEE !
Did you replace the washers/ gaskets ?
Whats the color code for your wrap? Want that color on my 08 STi hatch.
Hello friend, what type of oil do you use for the engine and what filter?
do you use the same oil for transmission and diff?
Would this be the same process for the 08 STi?
dude i love how you do this let me know if you still have the 350 z avalible
He sold it
Cams hat is glued to him
😂😂 feels like it sometimes
“I cleaned off all the metal shavings off of it. It wasn’t really like shavings, it was ground up metal. Kinda like a smoothie” 😂 yes Cameron a smoothie
😂😂😂 when that trans and diff wear is like a smoothie 🥳🥳😯🥴
But did you taste it?? 🤔

Transmission and differential fluid mix together
alternative to motul gear oil? i cant find it in stock! =[
Confused don’t you fill it from the engine bay using the tube by the turbo on the passenger side
You need the Motul Gear 300 LS Oil
Can you list all your mods ?
Why can i not seem to find carmaspeed website?
Really you open the fill plug first so you know you can refill it before you dump it

Was that a turbo on the bottom of the car???
What if I told you BPA was significantly better for us than BPS and BPF which are the replacements. Plastic companies don't want people to know though.
You didn't do the rear diff??

I'm only here for the STI!
I have to do this to my Miata
When do you change the fluid? Interval wise
Maintenance schedule says every 30,000 miles, but I would change it every 15,000.
the hey Siri thing got my phone lmaoooo
I have a 6 speed an it has a dip stick .
Nice try Cam 😉 Didn’t set my phone but I did for the merchandise 🤙
Do a 2019 CVT Impreza share fluid with the center differential?
Cold start Subies always sounds like you have rod knock.
Can i use the Motul 300 75W-90 LS for my 2020 STI rear diff?
Should be same. I used the same one for my hawkeye sti and she runs just fine. No lsd problems or any of sorts
@@TheMrFlyBoy18 there isn’t a true lsd in them I just found out, it’s torsen lsd so no plates to worry about.
Where You Buy the pump bro?
Peep the all tools link in the description I just added it. Or you can buy a more expensive one they carry at O'Reily's
Awesome video man your subie sounds awesome!!

Just so happens to be June 10th
should i change my diff fluid ? i have a 2006 350z with 151 k miles. idk if they guy before ever did. i got the car at 148k
definitely
It’s only around a quart. If it was my car I’d do it every 20-30,000
You set my Siri off
*neutral checks vigorously*
I was searching for the drain plug gasket part number and the "hey Siri" triggered my phone.
Excess*
got a quote for 500$ to do this lol.
Just for future reference you usually do the drain one first then the fill plug last so you can prevent that mess lol

Gee.... wouldn't gloves have been a good idea? That oil smell will be in your skin for days.
