    I'm in Houston and I can't wait to abort this mission. Houston feels like a big ass instagram highlight reel, that's the best way I can explain lol. Like it's just clubbing, bottle girls, a mass young population that's literally growing my the masses daily, flashy people but it just feels so surface level to me. Very shallow
    I'm two seconds from moving to a more intermediate city. Like I don't need Atlanta, DC, Dallas, or Houston… I'm leaning towards A place where everybody is not following the leader too, something right under everyone's nose. Maybe it's because I'm getting older that this whole flashy, constantly partying lifestyle is not appetizing to me anymore

    Speaking on the zoning part, Houston jumbles all commercial in one pot, and all residential in another, etc. So in one hood you'll have a mix of townhomes, midrises, and single family homes. Or for commercial areas you'll have a mix of places from tattoo parlors to restaurants. It def has it's pros and cons. There are also protections for people in single family homes not wanting to have a high-rise in their back yard. So some forms of zoning exist. Overall good review.

    Houston definitely reps thé culture more. 2 major HBCU’s , lots of black owned buisiness, and more diasporal representation!!!!

    I live in Houston and Dallas downtown is way better than Houston. The traffic here is horrible. A 15 minute trip can take you and hour depending on the time of day you travel like rush our traffic. Dallas does seem a little bit slower than Houston.

    You are right about the info you provided. But Dallas is underline segregated. The quality jobs are in the suburbs or north of Dallas, where you have to take 2 buses and a train. That's by old design to keep poor minorities from applying. Technically, they are 20 or 30 years behind New York(TX as a whole is behind). Now with other people coming in and the white people population shrinking....Dallas have a chance to grow into a multicultural place.
    I think I might try Houston. Overall, I am getting annoyed with Texas. I spoke with a couple of my relatives that live in other places. They don't care what's going on in TX, they will not be returning back. Maybe there is something better out there than TX.

    Omg speaking of zoning. I went on a bike trail off the bayou and they were building a home for like 1mil. One block over and one block down were those super old small original homes of the area (not sure what they are called). It made no sense.

    Houston, the city, doesn't have zoning, but I don't think that would affect the status of houses being side by side whether zoning or not.

    • @KingAsa5
      @KingAsa5 3 года назад

      It does to an extent.
      That's why houses in Certain neighborhoods vary in cost, because nearby Highrises can move in just up the block and raise prices

    Well first off this is my first time to the channel and I love the name Cinderella OG 😍. I am born and raised in Atlanta Georgia move to Dallas last year my company moved me to Indianapolis 2021 and I am moving April 2022 back to TX to Houston. I too lived in Plano west when I was there, and I agree with everything you said about Plano. Safest place I've ever lived, but Plano is very culturally deprived and I am not living in Oak Cliff or South Dallas so Houston culture being so diverse is a huge draw for me. Can't wait to be back in TX
