The greatest thing about these movies is that they have their roots in real-world issues. A global pandemic that ravages the population and wipes out most of the human race. Prejudice and hatred born of fear. The brutality and destructiveness of war. The arrogance of scientists, believing they can fix anything.
That's the beauty of sci-fi storytelling, often the story is fantastical and far beyond anything we will witness in reality but under that there's a story that explores the true nature of humanity and that's reflected even in the apes with their intelligence and behaviour in the apes franchise.
Theu looked at him as if he's crazy for being the only one who rushed into a hailstorm barrage of gunfire and had the most balls probably a trauma induced psychosis from torment of humans and that scen of him emerging from the flames like a Phoenix from the ashes on horseback shooting in the air like rambo beautiful asf peak cinematography 12 year old me was in awe watching this back in 2014
For those who don't know, the machine gun that Koba was dual wielding was a M249 SAW. Specifically, this was the Paratrooper variant with a more compact design, a shorter barrel, and is lighter in weight than an average M249 SAW (so, yeah, definitely designed for Para-trooping).
This is such an incredible scene. The part at 1:43 is like we're almost seeing what Koba is imagining himself to look like in his head, a glorious warrior leading the apes to total domination over humans. We then cut back to the other apes he is ordering to continue, looking at him and the carnage he has unleashed in absolute horror, and then cut to the wider scene with injured and dying apes everywhere, and we see what Koba really is: A deranged, sadistic lunatic absolutely revelling in all the destruction and death going on around him, even laughing amid the mindless violence he has wraught.

It was impossible If they are the good guys: they would lose because it is not the final battle yet If they are the bad guys: the good guys usually always win
I will tell you why because you think the tank could do much if Cuba didn’t kill those people on the tank and do you think it’s dumb to keep the door open in the upper of the tank Because Abbs can easily get into the tank
It’s not a tank, I think it’s an M1117 with a 90mm low pressure cannon, originally designed by the US for the Afghan National Army but was never exported due to the Taliban take over. I guess the survivors found an operational one in an abandoned Army base after the Simian Flu wiped out most people, they even retrofit it!
It was that moment that really showed how far gone Koba was and proved why Caesar was the better leader, Caesar was more compassionate and put the safety of the apes before his own selfish desires.
Koda may see himself as a mighty and powerful and brave leader, leading his apes to triumph over the humans. But in reality, he is a insane, dangerous psychopath with a horrible misanthropy and wants to eradicate all humans and is remorseless and willing to kill or imprison his own people (other apes) that do not support his delusion of destruction of the human race.
Koba was like Shane of The Walking Dead. Koba would’ve thrived with the apes. Ceaser in my opinion had a certain softness to him, like Rick did in TWD lead his folk to some very unnecessary casualties, in being unable to see past what was in front of his face. Koba had the foresight of what it meant to fraternize with humans and Ceaser was blind to it. Ceaser in part was a hazard to his clan by default of the clemency he displayed.
I liked this scene, but let's be honest. No way in real life, koba Blue Eyes, and all these apes win this battle. They'd at best save 5% of their whole army even in a pyrrhic win, then humans beat em back to the stone Age.
why all of a sudden? Have you seen the number of people? There were about 60 soldiers with rifles, 2 grenade launchers and 1 RPG with armored personnel carriers. And there were at least 600 monkeys there, and most of them were armed with the same weapons and were also on horses. Although it is clear that people can use weapons better , but there was an outcome . The monkeys won with losses of about 150, and humans from 2 to 20 . In any case, everything was perfectly shown in the film
and about what happened after that movie. Everything is clear here too. As soon as the army arrived, they threw the monkeys back into their forests, but much deeper than before and they had to hide in deep forests where equipment could not pass. And everything else was shown in 3 films
