I had the Borla Atak installed last August and it sounds amazing. I have a ‘12 SRT8 Challenger. The cold start is LOUD 😊

The Borla ATAK sounds great on the V6. I bought an 18 Challenger that came with it. I drove that car for about 7 months then decided to sell and got a new R/T. The V6 was a great car just wasn't a V8.

Take a look underneath and see if there’s some branding on the exhaust. If it sounds great stick with that maybe

No - sounded pretty aggressive (for V6) on cold start. Which version of the exhaust did you get?
@@GuysTalkingCars I got the atak, i guess since it isn't as loud as my straight pipe set-up it feels like a downgrade. I will say performance wise, it feels smoother and faster with the borla atak.
got borla s-type for mine wanted a bit more rumble!

That sounds great. I have the Borla Atak on my 2012 300S with the 3.6 (engine block swapped with a 2015 model) . However, mine doesn't sound as good as your, do u have any other mods on your challenger? Only other things ive done is getting rid of the pinch point on the driver side cat, and added the mopar cai.

I was really considering getting the Borla Atak for my 3.6L Challenger, but comparing it with my Straight Pipe and Cold Air Intake set-up, I do have to say the Borla sounds slightly less aggressive. I was going to go over the top with superchargers, etc... but theres only so much power and sound a v6 can honestly produce. I'll rather save up for a Hellcat.

I was wondering if after a year you are experiencing any drone in the cabin as it is something I am desperately trying to avoid while giving the outside a little rumble to make people give a little more of a look down the street. I was also wondering how many decibels this makes ?
I never checked the decibels. Good question. But, absolutely ZERO drone with this exhaust
Will i still get this sound with just the exhaust tips? Or i need the whole kit ?
Tips won’t do it - might get some good sound with a rear exhaust setup but I can only attest to the full cat back. I replaced tips on my scat pack and it made no difference
I got a Borla Atak as well! Absolutely loving it! Do you know if there is any warranty with them for the purchase? $2,000 is quite a bit.
Good question. I don’t know off hand . . But the exhaust has made all the difference in driving enjoyment

Do you have any other mods such as a cold air intake? I was thinking about getting both CAI and the Borla Atak, not sure how that might affect the sound
Only big mod was the BORLA - but that’s an interesting thought. Although I would not think it would effect sound you have me wondering now . . .
What set up do you have? Mid borla and rear borla?

There are backfire sounds for sure - most notably on downshifts 🔥

Heres the thing…v8 cultist who trash v6 people who do this. When you already have an v8 why do you still do this? Simple answer…because you want to to sound better. V6/V8 both people are doing it for the same exact reason. To make it sound better…now if someone is fake badging it then thats where it crosses a line but modding a vehicle to improve it isnt trying to be another type of vehicle

How long do Borla last because I was thinking of buying a 2,500 dollar Borla for my 2022 gt mustang but I don’t want to be wasting almost 3,000 dollars every 2 to 4 years so what’s the life span on these exhaust ?
I assumed these would last the life of the car. I have had mine now for 2 years and 15,000 miles and it sounds the same as the day I installed it!

I have a GT AWD and a 5.7 but I'm trying to keep the miles lower on the V8, I really want to add the ATAK and a pedal commander to the V6 to have more fun with it. I worry about people finding it eyeroll worthy compared to the song the V8 sings. Can anyone with this system speak to how they feel perceived with it?
Visually it’s every bit a challenger as a V8 - I receive SO many compliments on this car. I think most people don’t even know what’s under the hood. As far as sound - yeah it’s no V8, but I’m not apologizing for my ~30MPG and AWD capability!

I have this on my 20 challenger I like it. The only complaint I have is, I have a rattle coming from my left side from the hanger on the rear.
That’s annoying - Can you tighten or replace maybe? I will watch for that thanks
@@GuysTalkingCars the only thing a can really do is try to bend the hanger so that it doesn't hit the metal (as it's up against it) or try to wedge something in between it. Thats all I can think of doing to remedy it.
