I met Christopher Hareesh Wallis in Portugal in 2023 on the occasion of a retreat after 6 months of an immersion with him in the Tantrik kingdom of Uḍḍiyāna.
I am one of his many devoted students. His generosity and humility are immense.
He once said, "You cannot fail to discover who you really are if you trust."
I believed him!

This is one of the best introductions I've encountered of this rich tradition--concise yet thorough, with the central idea of unitary Divine Consciousness explicated exquisitely.
Excellent interview! Right on point! So glad you are translating this rich tradition of the Trika lineage. May all beings be free ! OM
endless permutations of conciousness…yes!!!!!
Namaste
Thank you for sharing most profound wisdom 👌🙏
Tantra and kundalini is delibrately kept hidden in india so most of the texts are cryptic.
Tantra is having so many traditions with variations in each type. Though it cannot be explained and must be experienced, right interpretations will help seekers on the path.
Om namah shivay
Dear good sir can you do an interview with Bernardo Kastrup? You will relish each others company. He comes from a Western school but he agrees with this concept. Please become friends!!!
Great interview, although the title for the video might misrepresent what he is teaching, which is Tantric Shivaism - whose rich history and dissemination across Asia and even into Buddhism, is fascinating to explore!
@signoreconti
I personally see Tantra as the greatest spiritual explosion, the greatest spiritual culmination, in the whole history of humanity. The proof is in the pudding: it lives in every religious tradition, spiritual tradition, wisdom tradition on the planet. It is the science of who we are, biological and psychological beings. Don't know if you would agree.
See guru mayi photo in back ...
I read an article about AI LLMs doing very precise translations of ancient texts. I’ll find the article for you... The article emphasized that a scholar, in order to translate well, needs to read extensively in the tradition and relevant others, and as such, they are few and far btwn. So, in that regard, I feel hopeful about AI getting involved. Wondering what you think of this.
Pardon me for intruding.
Religious texts are NOT literal in meaning. They are esoteric, metaphorical, allegorical, yathartha.
They are NOT to be understood or interpreted by logic, rational thinking and scholarship. They have to be EXPERIENCED, SELF-REALISED.
I don't think, a scholarly translation is useful in spiritual progress. It might help in intellectual progress.
I can’t help but wonder if both matter and consciousness are concepts
Indeed they are. Any idea or term that can be grasped by the mind is a concept.
How does KS compare to advaita and the "satsang" thing?
Both Advaita Vedanta and Kashmir Shaivism are non-dualist schools, agreeing that the One is the ultimate reality. They differ in that Advaita Vedanta postulates that the phenomenal world is 'maya', illusion, and is a fetter to enlightenment, while Kashmir Shaivism holds that the phenomenal world is a manifestation of the One Consciousness, and as that Consciousness is real, so is the world--the illusion consists in the apparent differences between entities. Kashmir Shaivism also relishes experience in the phenomenal world, seeing this dimension of reality as akin to a connoisseur enjoying a beautiful work of art, the experience of which can be the key to enlightenment. Kashmir Shaivism is world-affirming, while Advaita Vedanta is world-denying.
@@barrymoore4470 thanks ! And yet it seems to be not just losing oneself in chasing random desires, no?
@@vajraloka1 The beauty (or frustration, depending on perspective) of Kashmir Shaivism is that there are no wrong choices--everything that is, everything that happens, is Divine Consciousness blissfully expressing and experiencing Itself for the sheer satisfaction of it all.
