History of this world:
This survival series started on July 10th 2014 on the MCPE (Minecraft Pocket Edition) App. I had quite a few MCPE videos before this series that I recorded and edited on the iPod 4th Generation. When I finally upgraded to the iPhone 5, this was when I wanted to start a Minecraft series that will last forever! I started this series on the iPhone 5 and eventually upgraded again to the iPhone 6 Plus for more power on Ep.66. MCPE on the iPhone 6 Plus served me well for a long time until the game started updating more and became even slower. This was until I bought myself a gaming laptop (Lenovo Y700) and transferred my ongoing MCPE world to Windows 10 Edition on Ep.154. Till this day, we are still surviving and thriving with builds in this world and plan to do so far into the future!

Hey Dallas! I know you’ve talked about how your videos have been dropping slowly in views. I’ve been thinking that maybe uploading short tiktoks and RUclips shorts about your building techniques and how you treat your minecraft let’s play could help a lot with bringing in new viewers? I know a small streamer who got popular from showing off his building techniques and I believe your distinct way of playing minecraft could help great in getting more views via short form videos. Maybe even just stating how you like adding grime and grit to your buildings and the lore of your world would bring in views. I know it’s out of your comfort zone but it couldn’t hurt to try! 12:33 is a great example of this. Love your work ❤

good idea, this series is the most creative i’ve ever seen so i think the shorts would be successful
I can especially see them potentially popping off if the intro to the shorts before he shows his building techniques is some variation of “this is how I texture/whatever on my 10 YEAR running minecraft world” since I feel like that’s what instantly grabs people
He's addressed this topic a few times already. He knows he needs to make some shorts to invite new viewers, but it's not something he's very comfortable doing and he's too stubborn to change his style of uploading.
mogswamp got popular by doing exactly this!!!!!!!!!! he made shorts talking about “12 year old world”

I think if you want more views you need to change your content BUT I don’t want you to and I’m sure other long standing fans would agree. Continue to provide your core fan base with opportunities to support you, like the donor book and the villagers. Maybe you could do some sort of patron page where members get bonus content and early releases etc etc.

Dallas' loyal viewers may be small, but we always watch whenever we get to see that notification. I always enjoy Dallas' relaxing videos. No overly enthusiastic voice, no crazy editing, no crazy SMP gimmick, just a dude having fun building awesome stuff. It's really refreshing especially as I get older and the over-the-top content that seems to be everywhere just annoys me for the most part.
Also maybe you could build a weaponry division within SSC to go with your army recruiting center.

Maybe you could use the villagers that are in the first apartments and put nametags on as new donors enter the book, and then focus on putting them in a job/building later. It might be an option if you're concerned about names getting left behind
Dude, such an amazing feeling knowing that a creator that you've enjoyed for so long is still going. I remember getting pulled in by your subway station from probably the late 100s. Glad to have the pleasure of being able to witness your youtube career flourish first hand. As a few of us have been suggesting, we all feel that somehow transferring some of your content or a separate series of content through a tiktok/shorts format would be an easy combatant to viewer numbers dropping.
Possibly a series of shorts like choosing a color/block pallet and build something from said pallet. Keep up the great content and the great builds!

Dallas, I think the point of an official discord server would be more for us than yourself. I’m not sure if fostering a sense of community with your loyal followers is important to you or not, but a discord server helps those people who enjoy your videos connect with one another.
I think a video you could do that might get new viewers would be a short 5-10 minute video, with a bunch of cinematic shots, and making it feel really fantasy

Hello Dallas! I love the vids. When I heard you said you are gonna cut back on vids it made me really sad. I’m a long time viewer and I’ve always thought that you need a way to connect all of your builds with more streets or instead of a harsh ending of a road maybe fade it into moss with broken buildings on the side.

Now that we've seen tuff be given a brand new block set for update 1.21, do you have any blocks in Minecraft you'd love to see be given the tuff treatment? For example calcite or obsidian being given brick/tile/chiseled variants.

hello. i'm kind of a recent watcher, but for the issue with snow in areas where it's not wanted, hermits spam glowliken and string on the block surfaces. But back in my day, I would place one glass block at build hight and then signs on it, then signs on signs on signs all empty to cover the area. they quickly rendered out even with the low build hight in beta, and no text meant no lag. Maybe that's an idea for 16:09 minutes. Wish my old world neither got corrupted nor me overwhelmed with the city i wanted to build alone...
I wad thinking, what if you did a tips for dystopian or cyberpunk builds? I know you've done similar vids in the past but never on that topic and it's techniques ect

i don't usually comment on videos but your upload schedule has improved so much! wish for the best!Also I think that before you build anything big, i think that you should just go around detailing the canal / docks because its a bit plain and maybe fill in sone of the small empty spaces and bits between buildings and just bring it more to life !
