I needed this. We have tons of service bus events integrated with azure functions and testing was always annoying. We had a test topic on the test env service bus usually.
And you would configure the Publisher app to load the appropriate connection-string from the appropriate appSettings file \ or Pipeline variable config
I tried this today and it is really nice. It would be great if we can utilize it along with libraries like MassTransit or wolverine. Currently it fails with MassTransit after 4 tries.
Honestly I just wish this emulator wasn’t half assed. We have to run the emulator and an edge instance when they could have shipped on container to us. It also doesn’t support any of the creation apis so you’re stuck filling out that config file… especially useless for me as it just meant you can’t use the emulator with mass transit. I would rather have nothing at all then this
I’m so glad we have these emulators so we can all run into edge cases and missing features during development and testing locally
I'd love to have an Azure AD/MS Graph emulator. Testing services that rely on AAD for authentication is a PITA.
Now to wrap in TestContainers...
Still waiting for a good cross platform version of service bus explorer with managed identity support...

Pretty much the same. Though I am not so sure if this is really that good either 😅
@@KingOfBlades27same here, we've been making do for several years now

Nunca imaginé ver un video de Nick con traducción. Milagro de navidad
Sweet! Can’t wait to update my integration tests :D
We were asking for this 12 years ago.
Huge! Appreciate this update
I assume if i use masstransit the config can be empty
No, u still need it as the config is for the queue configuration itself
hmm comment removed because I left a link to the aspire service bus emulator PR.
It's RUclips's automatic spam detection. It auto-removes comments with links
Still not feature complete for mass transit 😂
Great, now an emulator for ADO pipelines
Dataverse first, please
@nick this is a joke, right? SQL server edge does no longer support ARM.
Audio track 😍

With the MSSQL dependency and missing APIs, this is a solid flop.
Ok for the missing APIs, but MSSQL dependency ? Link please
@@thibaultl.9377Watch the video pls
I wish cosmos had an emulator that was even a little bit fast
please change the title and add C# only (it's doesnt work with java )
Oh. Yeah.
I would Entra, but it's probably too complex for an emulator. Oh! I'd like to run Build pipelines locally.
I hate the new trend of mistitling videos :( Correct title: ”We finally have the service bus emulator”.
Fixed

... can't use it with NServiceBus either...
