Cleaning the rooms is NOT easy, as there is a lot to do. Also, many of the guest leave the rooms filthy with lots of garbage in them. Housekeeping staff have to load and push heavy carts loaded with their supplies. Many of them are given too many rooms to clean and told to do it quickly. They also complain of having back pain and getting low pay for their work. The hotels should appreciate them more by giving them great pay and benefits and lessening the amount of rooms to clean per staff.
You probably don't get many thank you's, but thank you for keeping hotel rooms spotless anf comfortable for guests it it a lot of hard work.

Suggestions. It's better to do the dusting / cleaning of the room first before making of the bed.

I'm also a housekeeper (housekeeping and laundry supervisor) and she is doing exactly what should be done.. If you dust first before making the bed, it will force you to dust again because of the flaps from the bed linens

This everything that SHOULD be done overwhelms me and makes me ashamed and worrisome what I all DON’T do in my small apartment! Just knowing what cleaning products and items to buy and use paralyzes me…

How did it go?? I worked in a very demanding hotel everything had to be PERFECT and we had 3 an hour so 20 minutes per room.. I couldn't do it I got fired after a week😢

Save your back, bed your knees to reach low down.
Why would you dust after making the bed? The bed should be made after dusting...not very good instruction especially for first time learners.
Actually that's how it's done everywhere .I can tell you have never done this job

She does a great job but I always wondered about the process of hotel cleaning. Why dusting instead of disinfecting surfaces? Does the polish disinfect as well? Wouldn't that dust and disinfect at the same time if you just wipe with disinfecting cleaner?

No because of the dust from the bedding
Dusting is really done after making the bed, bc while making the bed dusts fly everywhere, and with dusting (using a damp cloth) the dusts will be wipe off from furnitures and it wont scatter back to bed.

For me i think it's important to dust the room frist clean the room bed should be the last, because the bedsheets is white.
Well-done madam,but I think u don't have to use same rag cleaning wooden to clean dust on light,and again u don't have to use the cleaner on every table u clean,u finish it just a day.
Whay every equipment has clean with furniture polish it is necessary ? Or every equipment you cleaned with difrent cleaning agent?

I'm new to this job and beds would be so much easier if the hotel I'm at if they didn't have thoughs topper mattresses, comfy yes but so unnecessary if they actually had decent normal ones.
