All i'd say is that I hope you guys keep the rawness and authenticity as the channel grows. I hope you don't feel the need to filter your content to keep sponsors happy etc. in the future. There's something very special about TPDtv. There's natural chemistry, slightly nostalgic vibes, banter that is unforced/natural, and all of this seems rare on RUclips these days. Never change :)
I personally love the festival shopping vids and wish you'd do more, you have to do the shopping anyway so why not. I found this channel because I was looking up videos on what to take to festivals and came across you lads and stuck around, so could also be a good stream of new viewership. Agree about the sort of 'forced' festivals where you can tell you're all clearly nackered cuz you've done 10 festival weekends in a row or something crazy. I'd rather you took a week or so off then came back fresh and energised, everyone needs rest and relaxation, especially at our age ;) entertained by you lads just pratting around your flat or some shit! Despite this love everything you do Rob, what makes this channel special is that you do stuff you genuinely enjoy and as long as you keep doing that you'll keep the fanbase. Real experiences to relate to the everyday pleb! Cheers :)
Genuinlly even with this recent success Rob still keeps it real and legit with us, theres a reason why the viewer base has always been so close and dedicated and its down to this man and his sheer and utter drive to keep us involved and his passion for making content. Heres to rounding off a great year and for even more growth
My biggest advice would be to let go of the impostor syndrome and accept that you boys are really something unique and special. There's a charm and a sincerity to each of the lads you just don't see on other channels. You deserve to be huge and once you really allow yourself to dive in the numbers will grow enough for all of you to quit your jobs and live the lives the rest of us dream of. There's no shame in networking or getting sponsors. Believe in your dream enough to give it what it needs to grow. The beast needs fed but as long as you continue to be yourselves and bring your true selves to it you can't help but win. Don't be afraid of success. You're right there, reach out and grab it!
Here for the MB love and always a treat to see him but just know we love seeing all and any members as well. Big shout out to you Rob and Varley for doing all festivals this year (I know Jake missed 1 but that's practically all). Your hard work doesn't go unnoticed
I bumped into Matt when he was visiting Llandudno for work. Double nice bloke, really chatty and friendly. I really enjoy all of your content. I love a nice long vid, grab a brew or a beer, put your feet up and chill for an hour. Rob, you've done so well to grow your channel the way you have, hope to bump into you one day, although I'm too old for festivals now! (thinking about Boomtown next year though!). You're a good bunch of blokes and birds. Razz should cheer tf up a bit though! Looking forward to the future :)
I work for a digital marketing agency and have some tips that you may or may not already know. RUclips is heavily favoring live streams and premiers in the algorithm at the moment. I would highly recommend doing more livestreams even in the main channel and premiering more of your videos. I would also recommend doing some basic research on SEO for RUclips. At the end of the day RUclips is still a search engine like google and you can beat the rankings if you properly tag your videos and use analytics for things like best time of day and day of week to release content.. especially if you are going live or using the premier feature. There are also some great tools for tracking things like keywords and current hashtag trends for things like festival names that you can use to boost rankings and reach more viewers.
I’ve been trying to tell Rob to sort the SEO out for over a year. Better titles and better tags is all he needs, the videos are good enough. Like the festival keepsakes video should probably be called something like “We went to 15 festivals and here’s what we found…” or something like that. Look at how other channels are branding their videos
@@iwanjoness I agree they have great content but I don’t think he completely understands the ranking side of RUclips. Also things like getting backlinks to your videos on other sites like music festival forums and blogs.
The chemistry that you boys have just makes the content what it is. I love your banter and just experiencing these festivals as a viewer but also part of the gang if that makes sense ( without it being creepy ofc). I would love actually the ad reads to be even more polished and maybe some more interesting intro including information about the festival, like a map and prices etc. Just the informative video about what the festival provides but also keeping the usual TPD content.
Going back to through your older videos and seeing the amount of comments from people who’ve discovered the channel from the Coachella vid saying that they’ve gone down a rabbit hole enjoying your older videos is a nice surprise, maybe you could use that to your advantage and still make some old style ADITLs which would please some of the newer audience as well as making most of your long time viewers very happy. Anyways great video Rob as always, wherever you take your content in the coming months or years we’re all still here!
Just wanna say that while all these items of feedback are valid, for everyone saying they don't like X, a bunch more people didn't see any reason to comment on it as they liked it. I am not exaggerating when I say the Delta 2 parts of the electric picnic video were my favourite bits, it helped that I took far too long to realise it wasn't actually done at the festival and I lost my shit when the iMac came out. I remember reflecting on the video at the end thinking that you'd absolutely nailed the ad and it was one of the few examples of a video where the ad starts and I don't immediately scan through the timeline to the end of the ad and click like I would on most creators. Hopefully EcoFlow saw how well this was done and you can evidence it with the video stats for how many people actually watched the ad parts in comparison to the rest.
I'd really love to see potentially some footage of behind the scenes of the festival. Like performer interviews, couple chats with people that make the festival happen etc so we can get the perspective of not just the punters
Are you all going to be doing this again? Love the channel, and genuinely appreciate all the work that goes into these. You guys rock! Puts a smile on my face, and helps me keep pushing. From one festival goer, and traveler to another. CHEERS!
This is class. I left feedback on this form because I believed you might take some of it on board. It’s awesome that you’re doing that, but to go through it on video/podcast is the reason I rate you and TPD so highly Rob. Great stuff, thanks for being transparent with us man
Well if you'd like to go on a small podcast (about 00s music) that isn't going to disrupt your core audience, consider this an offer! Found TPD this year and it's become essential viewing.
I love your content mate. You just keep doing you, and the numbers will fluctuate and your success can never be quantified by digits on a board. The people you keep inspiring and the pure raw joy and roller-coaster of emotion this channel brings is its value. Over the long term you will receive all you seek in life.
I really appreciate TPD TVs commitment to going to all these festivals. I used to go to lots, but now being 34 I'm trapped in work and its near on impossible to get a decent group of friends together to go. So watching is kind of like me keeping in the loop with all the bands and remembering the atmosphere there. If I were in your position I'd concentrate on finding someone who can really help with the finances raising funds and direction of the channel, as we all want you boys to go to as many festivals as possible while you're still young. ✌
I love the long day in the lifes of yous either travelling or going to a gig or just fucking about in the flat. I just watch the old videos over and over so much as if theyre episodes of a show ha
I think the EP one is that way because it's simply not a widely known festival outside of Ireland. I appreciated seeing one of our Irish festivals featuring in your videos and you guys enjoying it. You'll build up your fan base here. I'd love to see ye do more road trips here too. Outside of Dublin though. Waterford would be a great place to start with (not saying anything just sayin 😉)
Only think to say rob, when asking for thing, opportunities, favours, support etc...whats the worst that can happen if someone says no.... As long as you are genuine, honest and decent person, as you have shown yourself to be. People appreciate being asked for support or being able to help. I've certainly learnt this the hard way, both personally and professionally.
Honestly think you can branch out from festivals. Although it's your baby and you love them - YOU guys are the brand - the attraction- not the festivals. You could make more videos doing other stuff with the gang. Even something as simple as going to a driving range. If you guys are there - it'll be funny and people will watch
Rob, you are truly the soundest and most down to earth person I watch on RUclips. The content you and the boys make is something really magical that I’ve yet to find from another creator on the platform. You’ve come such a long way from the videos you were creating all those years ago. Your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed and personally I am inspired by everything you’re doing. Keep it up, TPD videos are the highlight of my day when they come out, big love ❤
I could watch you goes doing literally anything. It doesn’t have to be music related, as long as it means you are travelling of some sort even within the UK and it’s over an hour long then we will all be visually satisfied.
Fair play Rob, I'm pressed with how you took on board and responded to all of this feedback. It's not easy but I can see you have grown not just the channel. Respect man
Oh, that's my request at 5:10! Love the long form content, but thought I'd be cheeky to see if we could get some shorter content throughout the week! 😂 Just want to bleed you lot dry!
Absolutely love the videos man been watching since my first Leeds fest in 2017 the content this year has been next level love the long videos too so glad you guys are finally getting the recognition you deserve loved the Leeds vid this year and the boom town one keep it up guys
Love your channel! It's well edited yet still raw and real, like a virtual festival experience. I've been to loads of festival without getting off my sofa. Sad to hear you're getting bored of repeating the same intro/format. I think its great, better than most TV shows.
You were 100% bang on with the ads and the delta 2. I enjoyed the ad and when you enjoy it with the amount of effort that you guys put in it watching ads is then fun.
Love the content, if you're wondering about the premiere countdown etc, you could livestream it on twitch, get a revenue from that and then release the video an hour later for those on youtube?
Great vid Rob - there's a space for these solo president addresses 😎 I can't believe you delete the editing files though! Buy a 1.TB hard drive and keep them to one side, honestly! It might not be useful at all but maybe?? Idk, I used to edit a lot and never deleted things but potentially that might just be a personal complex lol
Go with your instincts, you know best. I don't even care about festivals "sorry I know that may not go down well" I just love all of you & would watch you paint a fence cause I think you are brilliant 🤣P.S. when you say thank you & are so sincere it is lovely & heartfelt so never change, we all love you
For every criticism you address I bet there are 1000’ns of people who disagree. I don’t envy your position. All you can do is keep being authentic, consistent and vary up your festival format, success is a side effect and you guys have had an amazing year, recognise that 💯
Just got to the bit on more commentary on live bands. Feel like that would fit well with your what went down vlogs. Could do a what we're looking forward to pre-fest giving an insight into your musical/band tastes and knowledge, then do a section on your what went down vlog as to whether those bands met your expectations
Absolutely agree! MB is TPD super weapon. When MB is in town, you know shits going down! However this takes away nothing from the rest of the crew! Rob you are Numbero uno! The crew all works great and everyone is as positive as the next. But MB has the special charm and energy, a loveable rogue! Hopefully one day this is big enough to support you all full time.
My feedback is your videos are facking brilliant, you are a true band of brothers and I love the interaction between you all. You are lucky to have friends like each other and you most certainly do festivals how they are supposed to be done PLUS your sister is a dream and would love to join the family hahahaha ;-)
You Guy s should check out the Highest point festival in Lancaster, its small but this year they had the likes of Richard Ashcroft and Reverend and the makers. no camping but Lancaster has some good after festival drinking to be had
A point regarding sustainability dunno if I said it on main channel on the Irish festival video. When you go abroad and you’ve got to bring a tent could you not bring a suit case with a tent and sleeping bags in it. It might be an idea rather than buying it when your there
Just a thought with the B-Sides stuff, rather than doing a perfected edit first and then going in again and doing a new longer edit, what if you do the B-Sides first by throwing all the footage on the timeline and making the basic edits and saving that and then whittle it down to make the actual main video?
Tell your bosses that they're all well out of order for not giving TPD TV as much time off as they need to go on the road/go abroad to festivals!! ..Maybe name them and we'll ALL go round with placards?! It's MILES more important & meaningful than work! (pleasing 20 people - or pleasing 100k people?)
You should look at Tomorrowland global journey flight packages. I went about 10 year ago and the flight over is music blaring, drinks and people going wild which is super unique.
For me, Rob, a big thing was the obvious skimming over of the shit that went down at Leeds and reading. A lot of people had a very bad experience. Not calling the organisers out was perceived by many as you “not biting the hand that feeds you”. I want to see the warts and all reviews. It’s the honesty and integrity that we’re missing
Personally love the travel videos. Would love to see you guys heading to some different places! I know would probs be very expensive but think would be v fun to see you guys head to do a road / bike trip in somewhere like Vietnam!
Although the music at this year's Rock in Rio isn't my scene, I thought the Vlog was really great. Do another Coachella if you can and Download of course. Kendal was great too as was Boomtown. What about Steelhouse? Maybe too small for you guys. Great stuff .
I know you guys love the festival's you love but maybe at the likes of Leeds, do a day find new acts you like and recommend. great to see you guys at boomtown, it's my favourite
My ideas: More coverage of bands that are up and coming and your opinions of them. Breakdown of the costs for each festival - entrance / camp / drinks / travel / parking etc - and maybe a end of festival value for money rating. Saturday afternoon livestream silent disco set Livestream from a festival?
Honestly I think the community would support you doing some more high profile, third party partnerships. You've spent ten years building this community and that won't go away. The Coachella video provides a great platform to maybe achieve that major success so you could do this full time, defo don't miss the opportunity. My logic would be, more success just means more time and money for you to make content?
Who are these other festival channels? I know you don’t want to shout out the competition but I’d like see who you are comparing yourselves too in this aspect, I’ve not seen anything like you guys, big fan of your work 👏🎸💯
I agree that 5 min intro after the premiere starts is a ballache. Live watchers are not as important as impressions. I have left a premiere as I know it takes 5 mins and then got sidetracked and missed it anyhow. Now I dont even bother much with premieres. Probably due to the intro countdown. 5 mins of my life is of more value to me to waste it.
Rob I watched your video on favourite RUclipsrs a while back. I can't remember if you mentioned super eye patch wolf my personal favourite RUclipsr channel he recently did a video about buying influencet packages to gain a million subs but the video splits beautifully into 2 Half's and the second is about why would you want those subscribers and the nightmare scenario of chasing numbers in your videos. I would recommend checking it out might help put things into perspective
Also goes into detail about how chasing the numbers and the algorithm can help you lose why you started and your creative side I recommend this video to any creator it's a masterpiece
What about a review of nightclubs around the uk? Obviously you'd have to go there! I personally enjoy the longer vids, as long as their entertaining and informative lengths not an issue.
I want to see the boys play a concert at a small venue using nothing but rockband instruments and mic stand, a projector behind you showing the buttons and lyrics in real time, with a wee tv in front of you guys to see the controls. I can hear the crowd already 🤟
Great video only thing I've seen with prems. Is promote it as a prem so it gets traction before. Then 1 min before pull the prem and just post it public. Then the people will all watch it together. On TV I have to wait for prem to finish then I watch from start. Keep up the great work some quality feedback.
On the B Sides- I found them a bit repetitive to watch straight after the original video. But I wouldnt mind 1 or 2 B sides videos with a mix from the whole festival season at the end of the year!
No! Longer vids.. 1.5hr is spot on 👌😉 lot's of festivals and keep doing what you're doing. Was nice to see a bit of the girls at Leeds fest! Mary is gas! Electric picnic was quality! Also agree with more sustainability 🙌 🇮🇪
Yeah festi season over now .been great watching the boys ,maybe you can find new stuff to do . Bit nerdy but some of the horror scfi cosplay cons are good fun and some even have bands on and even after shows dj sets which tpd could smash. Thanks Rob.
I'm sure you all know this, but there are 2 or 3 legit music festivals in Japan. I know you said it's about annual leave but something to think about. Maybe get the word out and possibly get a Rock in Rio sitch. Love you guys. Love the long vids as well 💜
There is the Fuji Rock Festal that is really far from Tokyo and would require the boys to take a shinkansen to Niigata or there is the 'Summer Sonic' which is in Chiba Prefecture and Osaka, much like Leeds and Reading. The one in Chiba could be done in a week tops.
I think you're doing a great job Rob, and the boys! You will never please everyone, as not everyone likes to embrace change, but change is always good. As long as you are always true to yourself and honest, you will only succeed.
It sometimes comes across like you all gang up on Danny White abit, apart from that, no other feedback other than keep doing what you’re doing, one of the only channels i have notifications turned on for
So for next year, if you did want to cut down the repetitiveness of the festival season & keep up the weekly uploads while combating the critics saying you've changed and they miss ADITL, having a more "old school" ADITL video come out every other week might help that? Festival vid one week, old school ADITL the next week, then festival vid again etc, instead of having the "less interesting" content on this channel?
I personally feel like the Ad reads are fine! It's completely understandable as the channel is growing and the electric picnic ones were hilarious.
Have to agree, I also quite enjoy ‘creative’ ad reads which, as said above, was brilliant in the Electric Picnic video
All i'd say is that I hope you guys keep the rawness and authenticity as the channel grows. I hope you don't feel the need to filter your content to keep sponsors happy etc. in the future. This is the best answer @tpdtv
Personally I love the long videos , nothing better than eating a roast and watching tpd on a sunday 💁🏻♀️
Nothing like a spit roast with a couple of close mates in me room and watching TPD on a Sunday

Just got to the bit on more commentary on live bands. Feel like that would fit well with your what went down vlogs. Could do a what we're looking forward to pre-fest giving an insight into your musical/band tastes and knowledge, then do a section on your what went down vlog as to whether those bands met your expectations
Just thinking how great your Leeds fest lineup vid announcements were, and interview with the organiser of Leeds fest
Up close shots are more organic. Makes tpd content truly tpd
Would love to see you guys do the Glasgow subcrawl.
I’d love to know the schedule of festivals you have lined up to go to in advance.
You should look at Tomorrowland global journey flight packages. I went about 10 year ago and the flight over is music blaring, drinks and people going wild which is super unique.
Different lengths of videos is always good because it mixes it up 😊
What happened to Callum Cleasby?
For me, Rob, a big thing was the obvious skimming over of the shit that went down at Leeds and reading. A lot of people had a very bad experience. Not calling the organisers out was perceived by many as you “not biting the hand that feeds you”.
I want to see the warts and all reviews. It’s the honesty and integrity that we’re missing
Also please boomtown again next year with full group
Personally love the travel videos. Would love to see you guys heading to some different places! I know would probs be very expensive but think would be v fun to see you guys head to do a road / bike trip in somewhere like Vietnam!
But at same time very very happy just watching you and the boys pissing about in Leeds.
Venue reviews may be good for short 10-20 min videos, loads in leeds so can do one or two in one weekend
Although the music at this year's Rock in Rio isn't my scene, I thought the Vlog was really great.
Do another Coachella if you can and Download of course.
Kendal was great too as was Boomtown.
What about Steelhouse? Maybe too small for you guys.
Great stuff .
would be cool to see you guys over on twitch, even if it's just chatting
I know you guys love the festival's you love but maybe at the likes of Leeds, do a day find new acts you like and recommend. great to see you guys at boomtown, it's my favourite
You should do a festival headliners prediction podcast or video :) predict who u think will headline all the festivals
An online shopping vid would be cool 👀 Outfits, festival tickets etc..
My ideas:
More coverage of bands that are up and coming and your opinions of them.
Breakdown of the costs for each festival - entrance / camp / drinks / travel / parking etc - and maybe a end of festival value for money rating.
Saturday afternoon livestream silent disco set
Livestream from a festival?
Maybe do some shorts / tik-toks as a microcut / promo for the main channel?
Yes totally agree with you Rob. I normally forward most ads, but the delta 2 ad was 100% watchable.
Try something different like farmageddon. That'd be excellent content having a handful of tpd having a good scare.
Or even live act venue reviews. Just a suggestion.
Live At Leeds in a few weeks would be a quality video
I loved the video of the hike 😂 please can we do another?
You should explore creating shorts as a way for people to discover the channel.
canal boat trip would be sick 10 on a boat !!
Yeah festi season over now .been great watching the boys ,maybe you can find new stuff to do . Bit nerdy but some of the horror scfi cosplay cons are good fun and some even have bands on and even after shows dj sets which tpd could smash. Thanks Rob.
In terms of sustainability- for electric picnic it’d have been nice to donate all the supplies you can’t take to somewhere for homeless or something
@@Edogawa1117 Is there a pukkelpop as well? or does that not exist anymore?
Just keep it authentic and all will be well
Delta 2 ads were a bit much, but they were pretty funny. Also gotta fund the channel somewhat. Those festivals aren't cheap.
I think you're doing a great job Rob, and the boys! You will never please everyone, as not everyone likes to embrace change, but change is always good. As long as you are always true to yourself and honest, you will only succeed.
Sorry if it’s been mentioned, I think next year should be a festival leaderboard like Wetherspoons does
Is guest camping just to avoid being made targets of gear theft at festivals? Not really a festival goer myself so I don't know the differences???
It sometimes comes across like you all gang up on Danny White abit, apart from that, no other feedback other than keep doing what you’re doing, one of the only channels i have notifications turned on for
Would much rather watch your Wetherspoons vid than those bigger RUclipsrs . Don’t let that stop you boys, your content is much better I’m sure
The close up shots are the best come on don't ruin it for us
So for next year, if you did want to cut down the repetitiveness of the festival season & keep up the weekly uploads while combating the critics saying you've changed and they miss ADITL, having a more "old school" ADITL video come out every other week might help that? Festival vid one week, old school ADITL the next week, then festival vid again etc, instead of having the "less interesting" content on this channel?
