What a beautiful generous stallion! That Spanish Walk was legend! What did I do? Nothing he says, but I'm the star of this show 😊It's been a joy to watch you ride these different horses (Vlogmas too) with so much poise, balance and harmony. Inspiring really. The Portuguese are rightly proud of their Lusitanos!
As a portuguese, I love the breeds of my country. I am really proud that Lusitanos are also succeding on other sports other than mounted equitation (not sure if its the name) and Bullfighting (and, ofc, normal riding, lol).
Amazing ride! I loved how pleasant and soft spoken the trainer was, and the way he gave positive reinforcement for your work.
Your laughs when he gives you free spanish walks are everything omg
What an amazing horse, and a lovely instructor. His point of view about putting the horses first really comes through in how that stallion behaves. What a happy lovely horse, and amazing when he gave you the Spanish walk 'for free'. Such a sweetheart.

Meg riding the Lusitano looked somewhat challenging. I owned a Quarter/Thoroughbred cross, then a Thoroughbred. I was lucky to ride a Paso Fino on a Paso Fino saddle. The trainer told me at the end of the riding session l was a natural. Watching you ride Meg, l would love to try riding a Lusitano. I thoroughly enjoyed watching!!

Beautiful! Yes, would make a great wedding venue. You rode the Lusitano extremely well Meg! I'm in love with that Stallion! Yes, a shorter stride with them. Once again remind me of the Andalusians. Basically, they have a feeling of riding a rocking horse. Smooth!

I came here after watching you riding the Grand Prix horse, Meshicano looks so tiny compared with the other one. But he is an awesome horse. Interesting to know he born in Mexico and brought to Portugal.
Glad u loved our horses kk thise are our best breed I would say but we also have sorraia, garrano, pónies da terceira(ponies!!), amd now thanks to the great elote black lusitano breeder, Ortigão Costa, we are creating luso-warmbloods descendents from the great morlands totilas. It's also worth mentioning de royal alter horses wich are a rather old kind of lusitano line

I used to do lessons years ago and one of my favourite horses was pretty lazy but we kinda matched coz I had awful balance. XD So we used to take turns cantering round the arena to the end of the line again and we used to do a really nice slow canter down one side before the instructor would yell that we weren't doing drassage and to go faster. XD lol
Great job, Meg! Mexican (I think that is his name?) was such a gentleman and I'm sure appreciated having such a sensitive and careful rider. What a fabulous opportunity! I can only dream.

Oh I am SO jealous! I would give ANYTHING to be able to ride a horse like that! You did a wonderful job on him, and what a lovely, well-behaved stallion he is. Now I want a Lusitano! It might be a bit out of place in my hunter/jumper barn full of European Warmbloods, but oh well! 😂 That looked like SO much fun. Also, what a beautiful location that last place was. I would absolutely love to stay there…. Maybe one day!

Did you know that The KWPN (Royal Dutch sport horse) also uses the system with a letter every year in which the foal was born in. If you plan more travel but consider the Netherlands :P Military Boekelo will also entertain you
