Wow, look at that, a circular saw doing what every single circular saw out there does. Amazing... how does it do that?

This saw will rip a 6x2 down the middle with a decent blade. And you’re testing it with a piece of ply or OSB.

I miss my makitas. They were my dad's. They were older than me but some asshole stole them from my work van. Had to buy a quick set of ryobis. It's not the same

Which one is better rs001 or hs012g

      Hi GurPreet
Both the Makita XGT RS001G and HS012G are great circular saws, but they serve different purposes. The RS001G is a 40V max model with higher power, making it ideal for heavy-duty tasks and professional use. It has a larger blade (190mm) and a deeper cutting capacity (66mm at 90 degrees), plus higher RPM for smoother cuts.
On the other hand, the HS012G runs on an 18V or 36V battery, is lighter and more portable, and is perfect for general-purpose use and DIY projects. It has a smaller blade (165mm) and a slightly shallower cutting depth (57mm at 90 degrees).
Go for the RS001G if you need more power and cutting capacity, or choose the HS012G if you want something more portable for lighter tasks.
Hope this provides clarity! - Tooled-Up

He is only cutting particle board. And that Makita design throws so much dust. Better tools with much better dust control. Weak!

Makita is a Japanese company. Far superior to Milwaukee or Dewalt. Pay attention or pay cash!

@@gerrylundergaard60 you must be joking! Far superior? Milwaukee and DeWalt excellent tools. Most contractors use them over Makita. Makita is a fine tool, but that amount of dust throwing is easily controlled in other brands. And, showing it cuts particleboard and claiming "cuts like butter". Even a store brand product could do that. Show it ripping a 2x material, not crosscut. That shows the real test of a tool - bogging down, staying straight on line, kickback issues, etc.

@@dwlsml4118 it’s 2022 most USA brands are made for economy and profit for shareholders. Makita is a Japanese country who follow the Deming’s principles. They are the international leader in the tool space, just as they are in the auto, electronics, & machine tools. Where have you been the last 40 years?

all saw cutting particle board throw a ridiculous amount of dist because particle board explodes when cut and especially if the saw blade isn't adjusted to the depth of the sheet for that makita rear handle saw people over look the fact that it is a inhouse well built SMALL brushless motor with high output out of all the big tool makers out there makita has far fewer returns on faulty tools being sent back at work we use Milwaukee and they are really good the few makita tools I have gotten to use from freinds have left a noticeable impression on me if inhad a choice to either get a free makita tool kit or a Milwaukee tools kit I would literally just flip and coin to see which one I'd get cant go wrong with either
