- We went to Lytham and St Annes or as some people call it Lytham St Annes! We had a great time, visited an upmarket Italian restaurant and a lovely craft beer bar. We also enjoyed a sing-a-long on the sea front.

Helen needs her own channel all about charity shops. Could call it charity Bobs.
Ha ha very good comment!
Love Helen's clothes she buys at charity shops, she looks good.😊
Love watching you two. Down to earth and very funny. That's why you are both so popular. Thank you.
Thank you
Hey James just remember all the good Helen is doing buying this stuff in the charity shops! Rock on Helen!!! X
I'd suffered far too long! I was just kidding though, she can go in any shop she wants 🙂
Good one really like these towns .Thanks for sharing .keep posting ✌️❤️
You would get some decent quality stuff in the likes of Lytham charity shops as you get a lot of wealthy retirees who then pass on and their stuff goes to charity. belongings end up in charity shops.
That was funny, I say lets have a video from Helen and she can take us charity shopping ...Please Helen !! James can be in the background with the camera...Looks a beautiful place !!!
Lytham is a lovely place. 10 minutes up the road is Blackpool and the difference is stark. Blackpool is a dump but Lytham is beautiful. I love these vlogs. You’s are great.
Another great day out, lovely in the sun. Love Helen going in those charity shops, she needs to look in them all 😊
Thank you
Love you both. Breath of fresh air. Keep up your top work. Xx
Thanks Paul
Love charity shops, but can't wear anything till I've washed it. 😊
Wow, this brought back memories. I used to live in Lytham-St Annes from 2012 to 2015. I lived in the St Annes part on Victoria Road in a flat that had a balcony. My entire family has history on the Fylde coast as my late father owned a B&B in Blackpool in the 1970s and he moved to Zambia for work and gave the B&B to my grandparents. They ran it for a few years and then moved to St Annes in retirement opposite Ashton Gardens, where I remember playing golf with my grandad when I was about 5. One of my friends runs Lytham St Annes Estate Agents you looked at in the window. He owns racehorses and is quite wealthy. Lots of ten-bob millionaires in Lytham and retired people with purple rinsed hair. After 10.00 p.m it is like a ghost town. Near where you ended the video further up is Fairhaven Lake you can get a boat on and opposite that is the house where George Formby lived. There is am 'infamous' blue plaque to commemorate that.
Hi James another good video I always think of st annes as a bit more POSH I spent many a summer in lytham when we were young I will always remember meeting Led Dawson on the central pier he was having a pint in the family bar and me and my younger brother shook hands with him on the pier he was so friendly to everyone and a lovely man we were young kids but he had time for us nice memories I miss them days anyway lovely to see u both .😉🍺🍸👋👋👍❤
I never find anything I want in charity shops. Actually, I tell a lie, I found a nice top in one the other day, then I realised why I liked it; I donated it! 🤣
Lytham st annes is a postcode
Lytham has a windmill
St annes on the sea has a pier, and fairhaven and ansdell are between both towns.
Hi James, an acceptable amount of time for Helen to spend in a charity shop is the same amount of time it takes for you to have a pint in the nearest pub mate.
Fabulous as always, we love St Anne's and looks like you have both had a great time, thanks for sharing ❤️👍
It just goes to show that if the weather is good then you can enjoy yourself just as much in this country as you can abroad.
Surging towards your next 60k milestone. Congrats to you both. I hope you contemplating a wild celebration!🤣
What a lovely dress, really suits you Helen xxx
This - more than any other video on any other channel - drove home how much I'm heartened by the failing ' keep Sundays special ' movement. As you walked down the street in Lytham St. Annes I felt the confinement and God's waiting toom vibe which was Sundays in the seventies. I loved, and I felt so alive and invigorated, by the sight of so many shops open. Bakeries; charity shops; and the like. ( If you get the time ) look-up an episode of ' Hancock's Half Hour ' . It captures PERFECTLY the relentless boredom of a traditional Sunday. NOTHING was open. And I mean nothing! Just....observing. Last thing, James and Helen: thank god for this channel and for you two. You are just it for me. Love, love, love this channel!!
Lovely comment ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much for your lovely comment :-)
Theres a feeling of space (not outer space) and Lancashire in Lytham
What stunning weather you had. Here in North East Scotland it was grey skies all weekend 🤨
Courtesy of those special planes 🤔🌷
@@AS-jm9uk Sadly it just comes naturally to us in this part of the country. No artificial aides required
I grew up in st annes and loved the pier playing space invaders lol😊
Thanks for taking us on your visits to various places I'll probably never see otherwise , hoping your channel hits 50k soon, keep going and well done😊..

Did you know Violet Carson ( Ena Sharples ) lived there in a very nice bungalow.
No I wasn't aware of that 😊
Jean Alexander (Hilda Ogden) lived in Southport. Bill Beaumont ex England rugby player lives in Lytham.
When i was at college i wrote an easy on how " violent " The Muppets are. Im ok now.,i think.😂
I heard that shouty bloke saying that they were going to drift away, and I thought, "I wish he would ".
They have a punch & Judy in Teignmouth Devon, a beautiful place you should visit!

Thank you Laura 🙂
We love both and quick ansa is Lytham bit posher lol
PROPER ANSWER : -
St Annes is the seaside resort with the Pier and seafront gardens. Lytham is the place with the windmill and the green on the waterfront, where the Irish Sea meets the River Ribble. Collectively they are known as Lytham St Annes. St Annes and the whole of the Fylde Coast is a fabulous place for everyone to enjoy.
Go in perfume shop on corner of Lytham Square....wonderful lady runs it and there's no better choice anywhere in the world we reckon..
" go and judge for yourselves '
Great vlog xx
George Formby house is on the front in Lytham with a plague on the front . You were right by it after windmall . Enjoyed the vlog
It's near Fairhaven lake.
Smashing the editing jim bob 👌 top vlog guys 😊
Thank you :-)
On the large grass area in Lytham near the windmill, they have an annual 3-day Summer music festival. I went a few years back and saw Elbow. The stage is positioned so you capture the amazing sunsets behind the stage.
It's a cracking festival
Glad u had a good day in my town st annes...take care...
I don’t know if you visit George formby ex house in lytham st Ann. So much history in Lytham at Ann. Cannon and ball from that area I think ball has a statue in Lytham at Ann’s.
I was there 2 weeks ago with my hubby there is a great chip shop there you can either sit outside or dine upstsirs in the chippy
Well done to the both of you going near 50 k ,a big celebration when you reach 50k Ange

Plenty of charity shops was there many barbers did les dawson live in st Anne's.
I believe he did
Statue of Les in St Annes near the pier
What a fabulous video once again, I loved it and how ironic that 3 of our guests this week in our guest house in Keswick, all unknown to each other were from Lytham and it is on our list to go, we have many great pub and restaurant recommendations from locals.
We also once travelled from Keswick to Lytham to buy a 2001 Mondeo Estate from a family garage and it was the best car that we had for years - the highlight was also seeing a Rolls Royce with the Registration O4VIL and it was Keith Harris (of Orvil fame just in case I need to elaborate) driving. Unfortunately Orvil had gone to Teddy heaven by that time so Keith was probably still grieving. THAT BABY ALSO DID LOOK VERY POORLY AND BORED and DOREEN DAGGER sounds like she was in the adult film business. You need to go to North Leverton Windmill, not all have been converted.
You can buy both the Vault City Sour and the Cherry Chouffe in Tesco :)
Hi James and Helen. Great video. We were there on Sunday just gone. Great place we stayed at the Dalmeny hotel which was right next to the live music one that you both went to. Take care of each other. Brilliant content
I proper loved this vlog James and Helen. I cant count how many times Ive been to Lytham and St Annes but you both made it look awesome. thanks for a great video. love and respect to you both 🙏- Kenny
Next time you are in Liverpool, cross the river to Birkenhead, turn right and go to New Brighton, we thought it "a bit of a change."
Not been to St Annes for years now my parents would take the Family to Blackpool in the 70s but we would stay in St Annnes and travel around to Preston Chorley Wigan such a beautiful part of Great Britain
Nice day for a visit to LSA. The windmill had a new blade fitted a few years back. Good to see you both in my neck of the woods and as always looking forward to the next one.
Les Dorson lived in Lytham st Ann’s in a beautiful bungalow Wife still lives there Looks lovely brings back memories
Isn't there a statue of Les Dawson in St Anne's?
Good vlog guys
Not far from that pier is a statuo of les Dawson he lived there 😊love the dress Helen x
Lytham is a great little town. Some lovely bars, shops and restaurants. A lot of wealthy people there. We often do walks through St. Anne’s past the the beach huts. They are very popular. £140 is not so bad when spilt between families. Not sure if you reached the end but you can get through. Just one big loop.
Got a holiday booked in Lytham in July.😅
Laburnam was the yellow trailing tree. It can kill your fish if you have it near a pond. I just spent a week taking out a 30 year old hedge. I wish I was in a UK resort chugging crafty beers🍻
Enjoyed your posh tottie showing off her new outfit !
Pity you did not have the time to promote Barnardo's 😮😮😮😮!
Keep up the excellent videos 😊😊
" JAMIE AND HELEN" come join us for a place in the sun ! Love the vlogs and you both se thee !!!!❤
Stayed at my Aunt and Uncles caravan every year there as a child, with my other Aunt and cousin, my Mum, me and my bro and my Gran x x x. Always pop there when we’ve been to Blackpool and walk down the front through the river garden bit x x x
Looks ok there …..expensive houses though 😮
I love charity shops and you can easily loose an hour especially if you are a bookworm like me …..
So good luck to Helen but ……..how can you wear something that’s second hand and not been washed/cleaned??
Maybe they are extra clean up Norf!!
Loved the windmill and the commentary very entertaining 🥰
What a view too ….gorgeous
😂I love how Helen ran in that charity shop ……and of course the scarf is a thing ……wisen up James !!!!
Beach is a bit sandy is the quote of the day 😂😂
Hope you really enjoyed your day and thanks for sharing
I think they'd cleaned the dress
Betting shops, charity shops, coffee shops , similarities to every other coastal town....... On its #rse but at least the sun was shining
Ooo thank you we have this week off work and will take the dogs here for a good run on that beach. There only little but scared of big dogs so it’s perfect. Plus the walk ya gave us in Asda 😊
Make sure you go into Lytham too, it was lovely there
Lovely place for the a day trip is Lytham St Annes, a little further along the prom is a tribute to the towns famous comedian Les Dawson......Thornton Cleveleys is worth a visit too.
I loved Les Dawson, such a shame we missed it
@@bythecurb Les Dawson statue is right next to the pier in a little garden area.
"I'm losing the will to live, but at least I'm positive about it" 🤣 This got me thinking about the concept of being positive irrespective of whether there is anything to be positive about. I found the phrase 'Toxic Positivity' in an online search. "Positivity vs Toxic Positivity" makes interesting reading. Anyhow, love Lytham, St Annes and Lytham St Annes (my mum used to live there.) Another enjoyable video, keep them coming.👍
Oh man, we used to go on holiday there in the 70s. Mrs Bullock's guest house where a glass of orange juice counted as breakfast. She used to bray a gong to signal breakfast was being served and you'd better be quick.
😂amazing laughing with you mate.
There's a picture of me and my brother from there, we must have been five at most, and they'd given us a frigging spider monkey to hold for the picture. It was wearing a nappy and full set of clothes. I remember the smell to this day, 50 years later, but the abiding feeling that I took away from that was A MONKEY IN A FUCKING NAPPY? My face says nope in the pic@@meekotheshorkie3970
Excellent ❤❤ thank you both xx
Pity you missed Fairhaven lake James it’s the next place up from Lytham. Really nice
Awww bless# Helen she does love her charity shops, when i go to the coast with my lot they get 1 hour allocated for charity shops, it causes so many arguments, we go to the coast and they wanna go into 7 charity shops, which is not the intent for the day so I put my foot down, 1 hour is allocated and then it’s back to family time, I bloody hate charity shops
Helen tends to always find things that really suit her.
This was another great video, I always feel kinda sad when they end up, you’ve taken us all to so many places we’ve never seen before
The struggle is real 😂
Lytham then in the middle is Ansdell then St Anne’s
Love St Anne’s the second place you visited Stay on the coast road or in the car park next to the beach huts every couple of weeks in the Campervan. Great place
Jim ...in lytham every year they do a 40s and 50s event its absolutely brilliant ww2 and spitfires jeeps you'll have agreat time put it in your calendar pal .....dave
Good morning from Morley Leeds, just watching your vlog of Lytham st Annes, have u tried Kettlewell near grassington, park up near the river,I reckon u could get an overnighter there if u park up just over the bridge on the right, then walk past the kings head and follow it up onto the fell, onwards and upwards over the top and down to Arncliife for a pint in the Falcon, great walk !!
I remember Kettlewell from my school trips
My childhood holiday spot - Ma & Pa took us 7 years in a row! Picnics at the windmill most days!
Helen don't slag Soutp.ort off. I love it there.
Hi you guys love the vlog ❤went to Llandudno yesterday to the Victorian weekend boy was it busy such mayhem but good, sending love and hugs from Staffordshire in the potteries, love Julie and John ❤😊
The music!the one from the radio when they used to tell sad stories haha
Simon Bates our tune! 🙂
Yes, remember it from the 1980s getting ready for school.
James you are meaner than me...free entry to the windmill and you say' "you feel cheated", this followed by your agitation at Helen choosing a large wine 😂😂 I'm proud of you mate, brings a tear to ones eye😢 Another superb video, all the best, David
Glad you had a good day in Lytham St Annes. Maybe come back for the 1940's weekend or the kite festival.
Love your videos of my hometown liverpool, so thankyou ❤ quite new ere but am loving this channel 😊
Heyup!! James n Helen. Lovely little tour around Lytham/St Annes. Some very interesting hangouts . Helen gets a newish outfit .Not bad eh!? Nice in the sun too .Instead of living under the grey blanket of late. Cya next time .

The yellow plant is a laburnum commonly found in seaside areas
The big tree with the golden showers of flowers is a laburnum tree the seed is very very poisonous
Lovely visit. There is a nice park in St Annes too, just of the shopping st.
'She's obviously trying something on..... or having a seizure or something' had me 'l'ing my a off'. 😂
Amazing to think that both places are just down the road from Blackpool, different world. Great upload!
Its nice to know I'm not the only one who's mrs can't walk past a charity shop...."It looks like a snotrag" made me laugh!
Looks great in st.Annes. I wouldn't pay that fr a beach hut even if it was made out of gold... love you two together. Helen always finds bargains in ch Shops... Saturday in Bridlington was horrendously busy with it being sunny.
More vlogs James.
Debbie Brid
The tree is a laburnum and it’s the seed pods that are poisonous.
