I have the same launcher with the 12gm co2 adapter, I have fired mine several times and it's pretty impressive.. I'd hate to be on the receiving end of a round because it's quite powerful.
Poor planning on Byrna, install Boost now NO HOLSTER, only for unmodified HD, I found a Holster but it was not easy....Good luck man. getting another so I will have 2 options.
Law enforcement is currently trying these out. Seems like a logical choice for any city that has a lot of lawsuits from officer involved shootings. I mean the money saved from just one lawsuit makes it a logical choice to me.
Doesn't the HD pierce the co2 when you screw in the cap? I thought that was the reason they redesigned it and came out with the Byrna SD? Co2 leaks after being pierced no matter how good the seal in the gun is.
I know it is ridiculous! Its not the gun at all, its the pepper or CS balls. The law is beyond stupid, you can have pepper spray but not pepper balls???? Only in CA.
California restricts the use of chemical projectiles, but you can actually order pepper rounds from ebay with no shipping issues. EBay will ship them to you no questions asked.

I believe they sell adapters for the 8 gram co2 so you don't have to do what you were talking about
