This was exactly the video i was looking for I had a feeling they were just the noirs, I still prefer the cups on the classics though shame there is no price cuts on them
That's tough, man. FT-1 is such a stellar headphone. I'd say the Meze 99 has a bit more bass extension, if you really need that crunchy sub-bass, but the FT-1 might win out everywhere else.
If the tuning between the Classic and the Noir relatively the same, I think for single-player games these are just great for immersion. For competitive FPS, though, the Classic/ Noir are just a bit too bassy, and that makes pinpointing sound direction a bit off. The Fiio FT1 are way better for that.
The ModMic 2 has built in noise reduction so it will do a better job, out of the box, reducing keyboard noise. The Boom Mic has better quality sound overall, but you would probably pick up more keyboard noise. I would suggest using some software noise filter for the Boom Mic, but if that's not an option for some reason then the ModMic 2 would be a simpler option.
@ thanks for the detailed reply. Never used software to reduce mic noise. So I might end up getting the ModMic 2 for easier setup. But I do like more the form factor of the Boom mic as is in cable. Hard decision to make.
Update: there was a misunderstanding about the sale price. The actual sale price is $249.99 through the Black Friday campaign.
Feels like the Meze mic could benefit from a foam cover to prevent some peaking in the consonants, but otherwise stellar for 80 bucks

Yeah, the Classic is a really nice colorway. If you can live with the dark walnut though, oof, great value.
How do you think it compares to the FT1? Wondering for music and immersive single player games.

How does this Boom Mic compares to the ModMic 2.
Which one would sound better, eliminate key board noise or would both pick up the key board.
Thanks

@theflyerpr40d if you use OBS at all, it has a built-in noise reduction filter that does a really solid job or something like SteelSeries Sonar.
@ I do not use but would look into those thanks!
Lucky THIRTEENTH! 😮🎉😮
This background music is very ticklish, listening using my s08. this is not good, I can't afford a hobby =))
The addiction is real!
Gaming can have many meanings but if you mean fps or any shooter these are awful
@@znoozaros yeah, we can say it's not a "competitive" headphone, but an "immersive" one.
