Charles Raffaniello Hey, bro leave the plurals for the Ghosts of Mississippi. No crows were harmed thought this song lol. personally I was stoned 1 time as a teenager and I was under a bridge and a pidgin pooped on my new skateboard so I threw a broken brick at it. does that count as a stone?
Down sounds like a real life documentary riding off into the sunset for all the monster, legendary metal bands that each of this bands members were in. Kings up there
The Bruxelles, Harry Street and the Liffey.... wonderful! Phil`d fit right into a city like Dublin, you noticed that he often cites Limericks or poetry live? Could imagine Phil sitting somewhere in St Stephen`s Green writing his own poetry.... :D
I seen Down in Belfast with Devil Driver and Static X opening. You know what the best part about it was? Before hand,all the bands came out and shot the shit for a few hrs. We had some drinks with Kirk and the night was so fkn cool. Can't wait for Down to come back to NI.
In my case, I love Pantera, but nowadays I listen much more to Down and Arson Anthem as well. And they are totally different bands, so I understand that one can like Arson Anthem and don't care about Pantera.
On topic... Finally... A Decent video with a decent crowd!!! Good to see some people actually going apeshit for once! "I wanna see you all go apeshit!" "O-tay!!"... Lol
@johnwaynejohnson theyve ditched the rebel flag. cause they didnt wanna be labelled racists. check out the interview with kirk windstein about that. you can be proud of your roots without being a racist or hating others. let others be who they are and be who you are yourself
@johnwaynejohnson Dude, its not a debate about whats racist and whats not. The rebel flag came to symbolize racism, because the south was fighting for slavery not to be abolished. Obviously it doesnt mean that all of the South was or still is racist, or that anyone sporting the rebel flag is a racist. But it touches on a topic thats a little sensitive for a lot of people, so Down were respectful enough to let go of it. Period
that's completely cool as long as you still appreciate pantera as great music. I think you got negative votes cos most comments like your first one are just trying to stir up shit. but hey man you mentioned that it was personal so whatever.
COC formed in 81 or 82, early eighties first. Pantera was a band in the 80's-90's. The only one I know of from COC that's a member of DOWN is Pepper Keenan (my favorite of them all).
@ihaveallseeingeyes Any doubt over Phil Anselmo being racist should be put to the gutter with that intro of Phil Lynot of Thin Lizzy. Phil was half black :) Plus Down is heavily blues based, which originates from slave music (as is most of metal). Not to mention Pepper Keenan's written songs like White Noise with COC, which is about the most anti-racist shit youll hear. Anyway, Down is the shit
I gotta play some of this material in a cover band to help pay some bills. I must admit, the songs are as dull a the members agitprop mentality. Layne Staley, you've left the janitors to run the asylum in your absence...
every hairstyle looks cool on Phil
Just one crow bro
Why stop at one?
Please don't do it - leave the crow alone.
And Nielsen youll regrett it.... tomorrow youll be saying the same shit as Phil "should have stoned the crow."
Would be more efficient to kill two crows with one stone 🤔
My life changed after discovering Phil Anselmo, thanks for showing me what metal is! Great voice, great frontman, great person!! STRONGER THAN ALL!!

@brodemonz Aye, that statue is right beside Bruxelles pub off Grafton Street in Dublin. Has a damn good Metal bar down stairs! DOWN RULE!

In case any of you don't know who the statue is of in the beginning. It's the lead singer of Thin Lizzy.

I seen Down in Belfast with Devil Driver and Static X opening. You know what the best part about it was? Before hand,all the bands came out and shot the shit for a few hrs. We had some drinks with Kirk and the night was so fkn cool. Can't wait for Down to come back to NI.

@KantamBuriburi Stone the CROW dude..
i love phil as a front man, but man his vocals have gotten bad on stage from years of abuse, but he's the man.
yea but one can argue that without pantera there might not be down or arson anthem. so I don't see how someone cant just not care about pantera
@picciotto2001 Watch some of the more recent stuff, live from 2010 or 2011. Phil is almost totally back like he was in Pantera!
121
In my case, I love Pantera, but nowadays I listen much more to Down and Arson Anthem as well. And they are totally different bands, so I understand that one can like Arson Anthem and don't care about Pantera.
@andyw513 So you listened to this song twice?
The album is 56 minutes and 31 seconds long in one sail.
lol Phil is so adorable, even when he's serious
wanna see magic trick?

the T-shirt magically shows up!
@picciotto2001 i just want back dimebag darrel dude... phil stills the man...

There's a new regime in town.
Phill voice sounds funny haha
phil looks good right here.. what year was this show
I'm not sure but I guess it was somewhere around 2007-2008.
June 2006. I was there. Epic show
The performance was in 2006 but the album was released in 2010.
Diary of a Mad Band in the Year of VI

@johnwaynejohnson theyve ditched the rebel flag. cause they didnt wanna be labelled racists. check out the interview with kirk windstein about that. you can be proud of your roots without being a racist or hating others. let others be who they are and be who you are yourself
its not a drug,more like the wounder medicine the big corporations cant take patent and make money,so it prohibited.
@johnwaynejohnson Dude, its not a debate about whats racist and whats not. The rebel flag came to symbolize racism, because the south was fighting for slavery not to be abolished. @shadowromeo22 Yep... maybe he is sick or something... anyway still being awesome!!

@Grimeyhoob your offtopic.
that's completely cool as long as you still appreciate pantera as great music. I think you got negative votes cos most comments like your first one are just trying to stir up shit. but hey man you mentioned that it was personal so whatever.

IM THE KID NOT YOU MY BRATHA
Dude, it's just one crow
@poisongodmachine3 Hahahahahahahahaha!
he was in 3 of my favorite bands of all time,... but Phil is a knob-end .
Down. Is this COC with Phil. I think Down formed in early 90s, then corrosion of conformity formed , without Phil..not sure could be wrong..
COC formed in 81 or 82, early eighties first. Pantera was a band in the 80's-90's. The only one I know of from COC that's a member of DOWN is Pepper Keenan (my favorite of them all).
unchained9905 MC ..yeah pepper is with COC..i slang drinks for em backstage here in ft worth..cool nice guys..mainly mineral water..
@picciotto2001 not only ruined Phil but ruined Pantera
Well it IS a personal opinion but i'd like to know just why because i cannot understand the least of it.
Stone the CROW...no plural here lol
Pepper should have taken the bass job for Metallica. LOL
Weed isnt a drug though
@ihaveallseeingeyes Any doubt over Phil Anselmo being racist should be put to the gutter with that intro of Phil Lynot of Thin Lizzy. Anyway, Down is the shit
FACEBOOK ME PHILL
3:34 what the fuck?! ok ok, its just weed.
You're joking?
@Grimeyhoob wow , grow up.
I gotta play some of this material in a cover band to help pay some bills. I must admit, the songs are as dull a the members agitprop mentality. Layne Staley, you've left the janitors to run the asylum in your absence...
What's wrong with that?
Personally, I like Down, Superjoint Ritual, Necrophagia, and Arson Anthem much better than Pantera.
Anselmo sounds like ozzy here.. He could barely stand and talk.
Not really the best time for him
He was recovering from back surgery at this point and was still on pills
i think in this live phil is tired and his voice it sucks
So bad......drugs are bad Mkay
Anthony Michel drugs are good ,abuse is bad! This joint is for you,have a beer,it is legal only lol
me 2 .Pantera introduce me metal but I think DOWN much better than Pantera.
So many mistakes. i play it better. Mouhahahha
