- One of a series of films we produced to help patients, their families and carers learn more about some of the most common tests and procedures used to diagnose and treat blood diseases.
Patients who have previously undergone these tests helped us to design the videos. Each film clearly explains what the procedure involves and addresses common issues and concerns including:

Not every patient will be referred for all of these tests and practice may differ slightly depending on where you are treated.

I have a Petscan/Ct scheduled along with a MRI & CT of my brain, cervical,lumbar & thoracic spine of all of these. I just completed a Spinal Xray series.
Is it painful?
@@PrithasCookingStudio No,The Petscan is not. If you are claustrophobic,it could be an issue. If you have any metal in your body/piercings/stents/metal in wigs/prosthetics etc it can cause burning/fire hazard. Be sure to remove all of that prior and ask technician how to proceed.

should be done to see if i had a bruised spinal cord! I had this done it shows i did break my back with dislocation!
Should I get this Petscan if I have done rediotheraphy of my tongue cancer before 3 month my doctor told me to do this test after 3 month of therapy is this harmful?

I have a question regarding when a CT scan is performed. Is it necessary for the gantry to rotate around the body to get the images required. or can your body be scanned by just having the body be moved back and forth into the machine while holding your breath .Also is there a light that comes on.
I am confused, A CT scan with dye, on my abdomen.. The bed slides you in and you lie there then you told to hold your breath until you are informed to breather again. and this is can be done several times while the machine inside the round tube circulates and it is very loud. around the body, correct.
Is this reply coming from a certified radiologist. I do not know who to trust. Because I am hearing conflicting information. You did not answer all of my questions. Because the round tube which holds the machine to take digital pictures was not turned on. I was have a CT Scan for upper and lower quadrant's of my abdomen.. So I am just going to file a complaint against the hospital. Because I know I was f....d over. Because this was not my first CT scan. Because I was lied to by a nurse who said that Pet scans were different from a CT scan.

@@adrenalinejunkie3828 at our department we use ¹⁸F-FDG, ¹⁸F-PSMA, ¹⁸F-Cholin and ¹⁸F-Sifa-Tate, last 2 instead of ⁶⁸Ga as a study, they are better to handle and more sensitive. Because all patients are cancer patients they all get contrast, except if they have too low glomerula filtration.
I’ve had this done in 2016. I got hot, hot, hot as I went through the machine. No other effects. Didn’t take long and the machine operators put me at ease - this can be perturbing if you’re not used to these kinda places. Don’t worry if you’ve gotten to this video because you’re gonna have this gallium scan.

i had a c.t. scan today... got hot for about 45 minutes then it went away..
it was very easy... done within 20 minutes... not like a mri which can take a lot longer...
