After looking at some closeups of the stock image face and the finalized doll face, I think the big issues are the vibrancy of the eye makeup and the lashes. On the stock image, her makeup leans more pastel and is faded out on the edges, while the final doll has solid patches of color with deeper tones to the color. As for the lashes, the stock images have them cut a bit shorter and lay a flatter= away and out from the face. Meanwhile, the finalized doll has longer lashes that stick straight up/agaisnt the face. These elements make her eyes appear more intense and wide eyed which makes them seem off-putting.
I just received mine yesterday, and the first thing I did was trim her lashes as she had rely long cat eye style one side and super full body ones all the same length on the other 😭
It feels like another gargoyle cosplaying as Rochelle. That's what it's giving to me. Well, I ordered this doll too, so now I know to expect Rochelle cosplay. Lol

For me it’s the dress. I love almost everything about the design, but I don’t like the decision to give the dress a pink and blue stripe pattern. The colors are pretty, but I wish that they’d done a pattern that better matched with the stained glass theme of the rest of the outfit. It’s just so disappointing because the cut of her dress is gorgeous, and I love the rest of the look.
Idk In my opinion I think people are too nit picky with the accuracy of a stock promo or prototype photo compared to real life. I think that’s something to be expected so it baffles me how shocked people act, people were hating on how far apart her eyes were when I see that trait as super beautiful and model esq. I wasn’t able to buy her at the drop but I will definitely be getting this years fang vote. I absolutely loveeee how Rochelle’s looks, even if she’s slightly different from the stock images. I love the gothic style and she’s also one of my favorite characters with one of the best color pallets. had to buy from a reseller lmao. Anyways can’t wait for the next ghoul!!!
But as much as I love about her and am happy with, the saddle stand sh needs to stop. They've done it SO much and for so many dolls it doesn't even feel necessary for. Just make a slightly larger opening on the clip. But no they designed one stand to accommodate dolls that couldn't do the og stands and now they just keep reusing it cuz they don't want to do custom stands
“Ogre Dame” is such a weird pun, Notre Dame already such a huge part of monster history. Now I’m suddenly upset the box mentions her boyfriend. We seriously need more than like 2 or 3 mansters a year.
She's perfect 👌 10/10 so happy I got her. I think she does come with the most accessories/detail than any others collector monster high doll . Maybe her eyes could be a little closer together ( that’s my only complaint) . I don’t mind the price of 90$ I just feel like Mattel should offer free shipping when a customer spends a certain amount of money 💰. I also find it weird when they started doing the Fan vote ( when fans had to vote on what the doll looked like ) Mattel released a video of Rebecca Shipman going over how she designed the doll . In the screenshot there was a drawing of Rochelle that Rebecca had already started working on ( which was the current design we all supposedly picked) . How did they know which doll we wanted when the Fan- vote wasn’t even done yet ?? That’s Loki weird !!
It feels almost like her face was manufactured pinched? I've known people (with different dolls) to warm up the heads and then flatten them a bit by pushing in. But I'm not sure how long this technique lasted for them and if Rochelle will take as kindly to it. The lashes could sit a bit lower as well to help her look out.
I have no issue with the face. All of the haunt couture dolls (which were THE collector line at the time) have different faces to their ogs. Different details and styles of doing the eyes were used. Considering when this was voted on to me this doll seemed like it was a choose your own adventure haunt couture doll. They knew from the beginning they wanted to set her apart, but from a design perspective were likely going in with a haunt couture mindset and maybe even made these concepts after the last haunt couture dolls. As such I didn't expect Rochelle to have the exact same face as her playline doll: this is what theyve decided a collector rochelle looks like. I have no issues with where they went with it the larger take on the eyes reminds me how they did draculauras first collector doll. As for her price while it's debatable exactly where she shud fall, becuz they've already set a precedent for how these things are categorized her cost isn't as crazy as some people are saying. A haunt couture doll is 75. For the pieces, layers, and definitely better box Rochelle logically should cost more than a haunt couture doll. But then vampire heart draculaura cost 100. That doll also had a dress and body suit with removable accessory pieces but a simpler box. Draculauras dress has more going on tho therefore Rochelle should cost less.....which is where this rochelle does fall. Higher than ht less than vh draculaura. She could have happily been closer to 75, but when the logical price for her (based on mattels prices of other products) is a 5-10 dollar difference it starts to matter less. Yes no one likes how mattel prices things but they've well established theyre consistent if nothing else. We just didn't know that 100 and 150 monster high dolls would ever exist at the time so people were understandably aghast at the time. However NOW getting a doll like this for this cost shouldnt be surprising anymore. After all by now mattel has released a Disney doll for 100 dollars with a pixelated face and no wrist articulation. It's totally possible that mattel has just conditioned me to expect less

I like her but I feel a little disappointed with mine because the colors aren’t the same as the promo image. I got her because I loved the warm pink hair with pastel blue 😔. Her face doesn’t bother me, I can easily fix that, but I can’t change the dress color.
