I clean out my piston filler Pelikans by screwing off the nib unit to flush them out from the front, it's super easy that way! If the Esterbrook nib unit is easily removable, you can give Émeraude de Chivor a go without a worry :D
Enjoyable video. I have a number of Esterbrooks, but most of them are the vintage lever-fill type. My latest addition is the Estie "Honeycomb," a beautiful design. I noticed that you have one, too.
I ordered the quirky leaf. Can't wait for it to arrive. The magnet that comes with it is actually meant to be a pen holder. I saw that on another you tube video. Thanks for sharing. The ink you picked out is a perfect match
Gorgeous pen! I've been eyeing an Estie but haven't been able to decide on the colour, now it's going to be even harder, although I love that 70s vibe. I like the ink you chose a lot but I might have taken my chances with Emeraude de Chivor. Thanks for sharing!
How bad is it that I got the green AND the brown 🫠😝 - love love love the ink match you went with; definitely the clear winner. Can't wait for the full Estie collection video!
Girl, not bad at all!! The green is honestly so beautiful!! I had to stay loyal to my browns for the first go around!! Green is your color!! Did you get different nibs??
@@timewithtata8004I did!! I got a broad on my green one (like, who is she? 😝🤷🏽♀️) and a medium one on my brown one- I’m setting myself up for more jowo nib grinds in the near future ☺️
@@Couturepens yes!! I was even thinking about the blue one as well (they're just lovely together, but I'm holding myself back for now LOL). I'm not penabling, but I meannnn... 👀..could be a treat for NOT going to SF? lol
Great retro vibes! So far I can't decide on a color - I have 2 favs and can't pick one... you chose a very pretty ink! The second best after - of course - Toffee Brown 😊
@@timewithtata8004 totally! Don’t know how they did it- it’s perfect between all the brown inks! Did you used the Jane Austen ink more?? I will try it in 2 different pens- it was too much grey on the first one ☺️
I’m in Australia and brought my first Estie (tortoise) after watching one of your videos… i love love it!! So smooth to write with. Not many places stock them here, but we’re going back to Japan in November so I’m hoping to pick up another one, or two…
Great video. I’m waiting for my Estie in Quirky Leaf with a Scribe nib. Looking at that brown one of yours makes me rethink my decision as the Incredible Rock is such a great color. By the way, we’ll be visiting Boston in September. What’s your recommendation for a stationary/pen shop?
I think you'll love the Quirky Leaf! Both are beautiful! If you're in Harvard Square, definitely check out Bob Slate's. The Paper Mouse in Newton is wonderful & Boston General is great too!! You can't go wrong with any of these shops! Have fun!
Another great video. I thought when you pump it is a vacuum filler and piston are the ones you turn. Looks beautiful, but alsas, another fountain pen with a large nib. I was raised on the tiny nibs of the late 1960s

That's a great point! That ink is a gorgeous match! I may branch out next round!

I definitely like the brown one the most!
Thank you! It's a beautiful shade of brown!
I just adore Esties 🎉
“Pallet of besties” ❤
I ordered the blue one, hasn’t arrived yet! But I’m excited! 😊
You're going to love it!
I just purchased an oversized botanical gardens estie with a med. Great upload! I really dig that brown btw
I love the botanical garden! You have so many ink choices for that pen! Enjoy!
Really enjoy your videos and your style. Great ink and pen. Combo. Thanks for sharing 💕
Thank you so much!
Beautiful pen. I enjoyed both the unboxing and ink swatching. Love your ink choice. Thank you. 💖
These are so stunning, watched and enjoyed till the end ☺☺
Thank you Chantelle!
I adore my Esties too!
They're wonderful, aren't they!
@@timewithtata8004 Indeed they are!
Lovely pen. Cool packaging. I do wish esterbrook was still made in the states
Love your videos! Now I’m going to order me that Estie. It’s so pretty. Thank you.
Thank you! Your'e going to love it!

You are both making me want to get a second in this collection. They are so good! Totally brought me out of my comfort zone but they are stunning!

Good ink color for this pen is Pilot Iroshizuku Ku-jaku.
I love that ink! Great idea!

I'm so glad you love it!! The tortoise is my NEXT Estie for sure! I am going to get it with a mini stub nib!
Very nice pen, I might get the green one
I love the green pen too!
😅I have a lot of Esties, too! They're great to write with.
So great! Thanks for watching!

Swan Illusion is the ink to use in this lovely brown pen. Or…a blue green to match the cap ring
I haven't tried Swan Illusion yet! Great idea!
I ordered to 2go in teal too! 😊
It's such a great accessory! I tossed it in my bag yesterday and everything was so secure!

This is a unique piston style. Typically you do turn a piston fill. This is a button push system.
Thank you! Ah, yes... a bit of a larger nib.
What is the silver pen you are using to do the ink sample?
I wonder how Diamine Gingerbread would look in that pen 🤔
I need to try that ink Michelle. Great suggestion!
I wish pens had a second window to see when they are full.
Flashbacks or PTSD - discuss 🤷🏼♀️ TFS Lori ✨ Signed - GenX 💃🏼
Haha!! GenX in the house!! I was born in 73, so faint flashbacks for me. My dad was a bit of a hippy though...which I love!
Cafe Crema by Robert Oster?
Love that ink! That would be so pretty in this pen!
