My husband and I agreed. They should've had a way for you to transfer your data from your WiiU version to your Switch and offered the new stuff as DLC. Or maybe, if you owned the digital version of the game and your Nintendo account had a way to track that, they offer the Switch version to you at half price, at most.
You make a fair point. I want every gaming company to be successful. I just know it's hard to please everyone. I actually like Nintendo a lot. I feel their games connect to me way more than other consoles' games. That's why it pains me a bit knowing that I would have to rebuy this game at full for when I get a Switch, which is a lot to spend at the moment. Unless it's included in a console+game bundle later on, which would be nice.
I don't remember if Club Nintendo was still around when MK8 came out. The games could come with their own unique codes that you could enter into your account to show that you owned the game. It would've been cool to implement that into showing the Shop that you owned an older copy so you could get it at a discounted price on a newer system. But I guess minor details wouldn't make that an easy task, sadly. Maybe in the future that could be a feature to be worked on.
Smart steering is good for younger kids playing Mario Kart for the first time, and I heard that it opened up accessibility for some people with poorer motor skills/ability.
I was hoping the smart steering was off by default and its something you have to turn on and maybe they'd hint at, but having it default to on is a strange feature
The Flash must have screwed up the timeline and now Kyle and Ben are raging while Frash is calm.

Ah! That's cool of them to do that!

Wow! Those higlight reels were amazing! O_O
Ben Ben is good kart.
It's so jarring watching someone play 60fps in single-player and then switch over to you guys playing 4-player in 30fps.
