- As nervous as I was to read this and try to review it the book was a good read.
Hopefully through this ramble, as it did definatly stray from the path, some of you are able to to grasp if this might be a book for you to pickup.

Just finished babel the book was good but the poppy war is still my favorite r.f kuang book
Great video thank you. This saved me some money. I’ll read it, but I’ll wait till ereaderiq tells me it’s 2.99. It sounds interesting. It sound as though RF was slighted during her immigration process so she put out a racial diatribe. I was on the fence already as her character development is lacking. I hope the best for your channel. Cheers.
I don't think any of it is personal history. She is trying to bring to light the oppressive history Chinese have faced. Her style is just very brutal and blunt with the facts.
I think I'm reading this next, I bought it but I'm in the middle of another series and I just keep picking up the next book, and the next book, and the next book.
Sounds like that series has you hooked. Sometimes I can do that but most of the time I need a break between books.
@@BookedPanda yeah usually i need a break too, but so far I've read 2700 pages of this series with no signs of stopping.
What are you reading?
also tell catcoat_chan i loved his vid on rainbow friends sence i cant
Nice review.
Unfortunately this book didn't really work for me. The characters felt like cardboard cutouts/ideological mouthpieces, the theming was very heavy-handed and there were certain aspects of the alternative history which just seemed implausible. I appreciated Kuang's intention but not the execution.
I can understand that. She could have written more depth into the characters for sure.
did u read warrior cats befor
No, but Alex is has been reading it and said it is one of his favorite series.
