I felt a little strange doing this one. I really don't know the machine that well yet and made some pretty basic stuff on it but I love what it can do and look forward to learning it so I can get the most out of it. Thanks for watching.
I really enjoyed this l like how you explained things looking forward to more videos from you I received my Ambient zero a few days ago was midi easy to setup.
Thank you. Not the best example for sure but I wanted to try and inspire you all to just create something. I love the unit but it took me a minute to figure it out enough to make this. I hope to learn it better this week and use it a lot in the future.
Thank you. I don't really do many videos like this but wanted to show off the new gear. It is hard not to add other pieces into the mix but I hear you for sure.
Everything on the desk is connected using a midi junction box( 1 in/4 out). I have since changed my setup so I don't remember exactly but It looks like the moog was being send beat clock from another device. In this video I am pretty sure the ambient 0 was the master clock.
While i wait on mines coming thanks for the tutorial. Could you tell me how you know how long each part is that you have recorded or is it guess work ?
There are two things to look at. 1st is the length( press and hold shift then length) 16 is 1 measure 64 is 4 measures. 2nd is note(press and hold shift then note) this tells you what note values you will input on the track selected. For example you can do whole notes or larger for longer sequences or 1/4 1/8 notes for faster sequences. I would suggest searching for a tutorial from Chris Lody on the unit. ruclips.net/video/Cel4155VqaA/видео.html You can get a very long sequence if you set it up correctly. I'm still learning and reference his video all the time. You will love the ZERO but take some time to learn it as it is a little complex.
Not that I have found. Either set it up to sync to an external clock via midi in or sync in or have the clock set to internal and manually set your tempo with the gray BPM knob
Great video. I have a question about syncing my Ambient 0 with my LXR02. Say I want the Ambient 0 to run at 45bpm while the LXR02 is working at 90bpm. Is there a way of changing the pulse output of the LXR or the sync pulse input of the A0 to get them to play nicely together? I know I can simply double the note length/resolution of tracks on the A0 (thanks to Chris Lody) but is there a way of permanently setting the two machines so that the A0 is working at half speed to the LXR?
To be honest I haven't gone that deep yet. There may be but you can easily go the Chris Lody rout as you can slow down the "note length" so much. If I can figure that out in the near future I'll let you know but for now that is above my head lol. Best of luck with the ZERO it is real cool.
OK check out page 23-24 in the online LXR02 manual. Looks like if you go into the global configure page you can change the lxr02 clock in and or out. You may need to do some tests to see how that works but it sounds promising. Hope this helps.
Noted and thank you. Video is new to me and honestly I'm just learning but I will do some more research into how to set up the camera properly. Thanks for helping improve little by little.
the most excited I've been about a synth in since the micro freak
For the price you can't go wrong. It is a lot of fun for sure.
Thank you for the video! I appreciate you showing how you explore and create with this amazing device.
No problem. I'm having a lot of fun with it. Thanks for watching!
very good video. I really enjoyed how you explained all the thinking and the process with the machine.

@@SoulSearchingGaijin it was really good and loved how you focused on the music process more than how to use effectively the machine
@@FortheSoulFtS The music wasn't very good but I wanted to explain the process. Thanks for watching as always.

When you connect that additional gear it's difficult to understand what does what and what the LAZ can to on its own.... Otherwise, good video.

Very nice!!! Did you connect all 3 synths to each other using the midi ports? How are the connections made?

I just made a tutorial about this as it confused me also. It should be live in a few hours if you want to see it in depth.
@@SoulSearchingGaijin ah brilliant look forward to learning more thanks
No problem. I'm just getting to know it and have found a few things a bit tricky.
Does the ambient zero have some type of tap tempo? Great video
