    Taruup were the main single around here,43" or 53",mostly manual controls.

    Single chop silage is better for cows digestive system FACT

      Also, if made in bad weather the single chop will allow moisture out whereas precision holds it like a sponge

    why do I see so many silage videos where they dont even let the grass dry in a windrow? dont you get tons of effluent running out of your pile?

    Why does the grass not rot after being stored? I'am just a city boy.

      Because they compact the silage to squeeze all oxygen out. Then sometimes spray with molasses and the cover with heavy duty plastic and weigh this down with hay bales or old tractor tyre. In winter they peel back a small section and feed cattle. Will only rot if it has not compacted correctly
