I agree with most of the comments, Mrs Blanchett part is the best in this movie... incredibly intense, great chemistry with Bale... and the part I related most in the movie... Just one thing, you should have added Bale's final speech ("I was afraid when I was young...."), at that point all the pathos explose... First time I saw/heard it I nearly cried...
That's Cate's extraordinary acting talent. When you watch her she's not acting she's being. Amazing. I heard she didn't have much screen time. Are these all the scenes she's in?
+mecri Unfortunately yes. There is a little shot of her near the end but its very short. Her scenes are the best out of all the other characters i think.
Very close to European artistic films, a bold dive into human nature/society, after all Malick is kind of dark social prophet... so contradictious with the sunny TV and the cultural consumers TV constructs. I guess being a Professor in Philosophy helps that! The rich Man (Malick does nt jump to represent others he speaks of his own experiences i guess and uses deprivileged only in a symbolic way) has it all but his soul is empty, his wife, Cate, a Woman is a doctor, a healer that cares about marginalised people, the symbolism... A Quest for Humanity. I like how Malicks mind works, too close to some of the European Films i m used to. (Although unable to understand everything) even the title, a pocker game our planet right here and right now. Nice to see "stars" like Blamchett run away from a bimbo image all these years and could nt care less about their acting time or the popularity of a film, if the scenario does have a human value they jump into it! even if its experimental, mainly if its experimental...Malick made the right choice, could nt have asked any other woman to play this character. And Christian Bale... 3 words for him: Oh.My.God!
What is your general opinion on the cinematic style used for this movie? It feels very epic to witness the sweeping panoramic shots with the narration in the background rather than the actors/actresses speaking in the scene.
Its amazing to watch and every scene captures beauty in some form. Mallick manages to portray the intense feelings of the characters even if they don't say much.
+Evangeline S. go to 'video manager ' then on the left hand side u will see 'community' tab, click on that and it will expand options. u should then see 'messages' and should be able to send via that
I wish the director would try to make this a bit less abstract, especially with the blatant references to Tarot. I actually find this overt use of Tarot to be a bit cheap, such as with the title and with some of the dialogue.
She could read the dictionary and I would be enthralled by her presence and that voice!
The best and most romantic part is this with Sublime Cate. She turns everyyhing into art and masterpiece
this two need to do more movies together. they complement each other well in this short 6 mins
Such an enchanting Cate' voice
Cate,s great acting and noble beauty are the best in the film

@@mecri787 I know its a late response but yeah missed out a scene with Christian and Cate on the beach
@@mollyazmr thanks for the reply, late or otherwise.
I mean how could you not get this movie. It's about all of us. We all go trough it. Beautiful and real
Yes, very true.
I hope our country can also watch. Cate fantastic.
This is one of the few films from Malick that actually improves upon repeated viewing, something about it feels more substantial than his other work.
Queen Cate
"I am not a queen, or a monster. I’m the Goddess of Death"
VideoGamerGuy 92 kneel before your queen
The only scenes worth watching in the whole damn movie!
Couldn't agree more, the film was a bit self indulgent, Cate's performance was great as always!
+Tony Montana show some respect, what you've said made you look like a complete fxxking idiot!!
Because that’s what damnation is
Thanks for making this available to us.

Nope.
Bale is also one hell of an actor but so is she.

It’s so rare to see Christian Bale in a movie as a regular looking man. Like Johnny Depp.

Guys I missed out a anothers cene with Christian and Cate on the beach - sorry 😞
Does anyone know the name of the music at 2:26-3:14 ? It sounds similar to Debussy's work.
+lombard605 Sirènes, third movement of Debussy's Nocturnes?
+lombard605 Yes it's Debussy "Nocturnes: Sirenes"
Amazing
I'm just here mostly for Christian Bale....
Is the sound a bit low/weird in this or is it just my laptop?
+Jazz E That's just how the voices/sounds are in the film
+Temps Close the tab w the porn playing.

Why weren't notice about Thor movies
Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher
Cate Blanchett as Hela
Natalie Portman as Jane Foster/Mighty Thor
What is the music playing at 3:45?
[Arvo Pärt : Silouans Song [Vienna Philharmonic Women
Came here looking for this specific song.
Cate have a wonderful neck
you are missing about 3 minutes more of Cate
since posting, I have realised that. a scene of Cate and Christian on the beach i think.
Where can I watch this film? It has no viewing near me.
+Sunny Night Message me directly, i may be able to help you.
+Molly y I'm not sure how to message you ( I'm using iPad) I wanted to see this badly but there are no showings within a huge radius of me :-(
+Evangeline S. go to 'video manager ' then on the left hand side u will see 'community' tab, click on that and it will expand options. u should then see 'messages' and should be able to send via that
This is galadriel xd

Ian Rust if it was less abstract it wouldn’t be a Terrence Malick film.
Terrance Mallick is so annoying, leaving great performances on the cutting room floor.
Exactly Christian Bale has said he doesn't know if he'll be there in Weightless
hella n gorr😅
Queen Cate
