The primary distinction between FBE coating and 2-pack epoxy lies in their application methods. An inherent limitation of FBE coating is the potential for damage during the seat ring fitting process, which can subsequently result in corrosion. In contrast, 2-pack epoxy can be applied after valve assembly without requiring specific conditions. Moreover, 2-pack epoxy is particularly advantageous for maintenance work, especially in remote locations.
