Literally has to be waken up 20 minutes before the start of the Grand Prix. I don't think Kimi has ever been nervous in his life
People react to stress differently, it can easily be that because he has the ability to sleep pretty much when he wants, which is also a thing with some people, he chose to sleep instead of being wound up and feeding the cycle of nervousness. Skip the cutscenes and jump right into action.

@@stn6408 his experience and feedback could be handy in helping the team with a new unfamiliar car. I think that would be an advantage over an inexperienced rookie.

To the world, Rally is a sport incomprehensible for mere mortals to start into, for the Finns, it's how you get to work and home every day.
Man I really hope he stays just 1 more year in time with the new breed of F1 cars.

Kimi's popularity 20 years is still higher than many other drivers who are still in F1 and those drivers who have already left F1. And Kimi's driving skills is still competitive enough to deliver points in a under-developed car.
To bad he's making silly mistakes this year and losing the pace compared to Giovinazzi.

Nah, he had covid lockdown and social distancing/restricted personnel access to paddock last year. His batteries were recharged to the highest level since returning to F1 as he didn't have tripe questions to listen to for a year solid.
Normally when top athlete speaks, lets say an F1 driver. The listeners might get motivated and want to get as good sportsman as him. But in case of Kimi. You don't get that kind of feeling, instead you get a feeling that you want to be as complete, real and happy person as Kimi is. Mind blowing. Interesting character, like noone else.

When Kimi won his first race I messaged one of my few F1 fan friends, on MSN messenger, and said "KIMI WON!"....15 years later, when he won his last race, without realizing it, I did the same thing, but on Facebook this time (I'm old )
Kimi is the oldest race winner of the last 10 years at least, I think.

He deserved the title in 2003 and 2005.

Everyone ask me why i hate mercedes... but nobody remembers 2003... Raikkonen should be 2x world champion.
I get you, though the blame is split somewhere between Mclaren and Mercedes. Had they focused on only one 2003 car instead of 2 they could have won it considering the Michael wasn't doing too great that season. That said that aero concept that the MP4-18 was trying to pioneer was indeed correct, as it worked on 2005's Mclarens and RBs after that.
2005 still frustrates me though.

@@mamanmahomie6747 probably the season review, but in a nutshell the car was too light, too tightly packaged, and too unreliable
@@mamanmahomie6747 Specific to the 2003 season, look for mclaren mp4-18, you'll see some videos about "the car that never raced" or along those lines. Those will give you some clues.

I don't recall one journalist's name , but he said Kimi was better in his English's interviews than his native language.
I don't know what "better" means in this case, but as a Finn I can say that he's pretty much the exact same when he's speaking Finnish. Might be a few more words here and there, but not much. Kimi is Kimi.🙂👍
