Season Greetings from Haverhill. Wonderful performance. Lovely guitar. How do you like that Ear Trumpet Labs Delphina? I'm looking for a "good" condenser mic. All the articles I read point me toward using a small diaphragm design. My schtick is acoustic thumbpickin' and singin' too. A large diaphragm looks like it can carry that water well. Cheers.
Right back at you Daniel. The guitar is the best I’ve ever played, let alone owned, in almost 60 years of playing. The Delphina is great. I use it for performing as well as recording. I do have a Royer ribbon mic off the 12th fret of the guitar, but I’ve also recording with just the Ear Trumpet and it works fine. I’ve also done recording for a four piece bluegrass band and single mic’d them with the Delphina. If I was going to have just one mic, it would be the Delphina. I’ve got other top shelf mics and the ET is it for me. I appreciate you listening and the kind words. Cheers BC
Hi Bill. I see you are adding new content. Louse is a tough song to cover. Leo Kottke’ slide version with his baritone vocal is indelibly etched in my brain. You do a nice job with it. Wish I could just unmemorize the Kottke version.
Thanks for the kind words. There are a lot of songs I do that are just the way I play them - the way my mind hears them. At the same time there are other player’s versions that I like, some better than my own. It’s all good
An exceptionally warm and trade mark sound, of Bill Cogswell!!
Yes. Another good one.
Your comments make me smile. I really love this song.
A truly special rendition of Louise.
Hi Bill , this sounds absolutely terrific , yep, I like it👌👌
