  • @68SSCAM
    @68SSCAM 10 лет назад +40

    I don't think people understand the situation here. Webber had a good lead in the race, so the team "turned down" his engine so he didn't risk damaging any parts on the car because teams only get a limited amount of engines and other parts they can use per year and can get penalised for changing components during a race weekend if they fail. This is why Vettel is quicker and why he should have listed to the team orders to stay back, it really wasn't fair on Webber for him to do that.

    • @leonrixon5786
      @leonrixon5786 10 лет назад +6

      Juzh123 the fact is webber was on a new set and a slower tire compound and was easily keeping in front , he listened to the multi 21 message and slowed down to save the engine , as he had shown he was the faster person at that time in the race. hence the multi21 to say ok boys you've seen who is the fastest today , but now settle down and save the engines. Vettel being the kid he is decided not to listen and over took webber for the lead. thus proving to the world that vettel is a sore loser and won't obey his team.

    • @leonrixon5786
      @leonrixon5786 10 лет назад +1

      Ahahhahahahh hypocrite * and so Webber got what he deserved? Right so all the years he had been treated second best getting shitty car after shitty car and yet some how still managed to give vettel some trouble is the one who deserved it. Haha wow, either you only just started watching F1 from 2011 forward or you are a daft idiot who thinks vettel is the best driver in the world, all because he has had the better car on the day. All I know is Webber wouldn't deliberately crash into his own team mate to secure a championship. And for sure as hell doesn't act like a cry baby when he doesn't get his way. He takes it on the chin and acts like a gentlemen. It's funny because no other F1 driver respects vettel. Haha

    • @leonrixon5786
      @leonrixon5786 10 лет назад +1

      Webber a cry baby Ahahhahahahh, that is quite funny, and the fact you defend vettel is even funnier. Anyone with a working brain and can think for themselves would know vettel is the biggest sook in F1. The infamous stinky finger of his is a trademark. And you think that they had the exact same cars? Hahaha you must be high on something to think that. Why do you think everyone hates vettel? Because he is a cocky little shit who thinks he is the best, quite literally only Germans and daft
      fools like yourself follow pricks like him. You're about as ignorant as him actually.

      If Vettel was in a secured 2nd position, why wouldn't they do the same thing for him? Why would they keep his engine running with full performance? I don't believe this.

    Its racing, its pretty harsh people giving vettel hate. It wouldn't be very nice being told "you're not going to win today, although you are quick enough, i want you to finish 2nd" no driver is going to race to finish 2nd place. 2nd place and onward are losers, everyone wants to win, no matter what it takes. It was racing that's all it was

      What about from Mark's perspective? He was instructed to turn his engine down and coast to the end because he was assured Vettel maintain 2nd position. He could've easily pumped out faster laps that would not allowed Sebastian to even get this close.

      @CraigBickerstaff 10 лет назад

      I get why he did it, he's going for a world championship and a win vs 2nd can mean enough or not enough points at the end of the season but that doesn't make him immune from criticism, if he had a crash with Webber and knocked them both out then he, Mark and Red Bull would have gotten NO points that race and put Massa and Rosberg on the podium he took a massive risk and it though it paid off for him it was still a stupid thing to do.

    lol i used to believe the theory that webber was on "cruise mode" with his engine turned down when vettel made the move (a so called "traitor" move). after seeing this not anymore. the way vettel closed down on his gearbox i think mark right there and then knew vettel wasn't there to say "hello mark!". mark's very much aware of vettel's voracious appetite for winning, i think mark knew vettel was going to attack but at the back of his head he was still probably hoping vettel would heed the pre-arranged orders (multi 21, whoever is ahead after the last rounds of pit stops retain that position). nice wheel to wheel action, unfortunately tainted by controversy.

    • @radjera1979
      @radjera1979 10 лет назад

      It was probably dumb of RB to even issue the orders so early in the year. This is one of Vettels greatest decisions though. It really let the fans know what a douchebag he was. He drives for records not for the fans. He is a great driver but no champion. Champions inspire the fans, this kid just whines when his car isn't above all the others. Just watch him this year bitch and complain, whine, and blame others. He's already blamed Rosberg for not getting pole in a rainstorm. Kids a whine bag that can drive and has had the best car. No controversy there, just facts.

      Ok fair enough, but the 'Multi 21' message was repeated and then Horner said to him to leave a gap. That's 3 times. It's weird how he can hear everything else bar that isn't it? This is how F1 should, thx Vettel for giving us a great battle. All those people hating should stop watching sport all together. Vettel didn't come to F1 to hand out gift baskets he came to F1 to race and win championships. Webber was always a below par driver and in the Red Bull he showed it again. With the best car he even couldn't win races or finish second behind his teammate like Rubens did for years at Ferrari with Michael. Hope this year we will some titanic battles between Alonso and Kimi and Lewis and Nico. Webber was acting like a little b*tch over this he got schooled on track, just deal with it.

      I can somewhat agree with that. But as you say it's early in season, and the team, like Mercedes behind them, wanted to get their cars to the end without any risk. Seb risked a lot when you see how close he was to Mark and the wall, even though it produced fun and exciting racing, it was stupid.

  • @decipato

    If you think that this overtaking was unfair because of Vettel being on the Option tyre and Webber on the Prime tyre. Then you obviously dont know much about F1 these days. It is more about saving your tyres and tyrestrategy, than it is about just going flat out for the full duration of the race, as they used to be able to do. But you just cant do that anymore, the tyres will wear off then.
    Vettel used the right strategy and he made a fantastic overtake on Webber, setting it up just right. Webber knew he was comming, and was just not fast enough to keep Vettel behind.
    And on another note, it was a bad call from the team, to try and keep Vettel behind Webber. Vettel obveously had the speed to catch him, so why would you want your number one driver, the tripple world champion, to settle for second place, when a race win was within his grasp?
    It was no more than 2 races ago, that Vettel won the Championship by only three points, so every single point counts, why should he say no to the seven points he gained from taking over Webber?
    I know there is a lot of Vettel haters, who cant say anything but "THE CAR IS BETTER, CHEATER" F1 has always been this way, and if u take a look at the overtake Vettel just made in the video, u'd know he isnt just any driver.

    This is F1 people, for fuck sake! This is about racing, about who is faster and better, not about obeying team's orders. Vettel is the type of "hungry-for-victory" drivers, a hunter, just like Hamilton or Alonso. If he thinks that he is faster than Webber then he's going to pass him to get the first place. Simple as that. I repeat, it's RACING. Btw, this battle give us one of the best moments of 2013 season, one of the few exciting moments in this boring F1 era. (And 2014 season it's even worse).

      ***** no only is that not an excuse, that's not the only reason button comprehensively beat hamilton. there were plenty of races in 2011 button trounced hamilton pacewise and especially racecraft wise. hamilton only had 1 more dnf and button lost ~25 points at silverstone and nurburgring through no fault of his own. a pitlane strategy error also cost button the win at monaco.
      what really stood out though was how much of a better racer button was that year. his lack of errors and general overtaking skills in particular were on another level to hamilton. pacewise when hamilton was on top he only had a slight edge, whereas when button was on top the gap to hamilton was embarrassing. button more than doubled hamilton's tally of podiums in 2011.

Even though the car wasn't made for him, he failed to score a single win when he had the chance too. And btw, if there's someone cocky it's Alonso. And also, one does not win 9 races in a row in the better car to be called a 'bad' driver. Webber couldn't do it.

    THE TRUTH is that since 2010 the world of Formula 1 has been distorted to make it more interesting. Ferrari , Williams, McLaren , teams which have been damaged after a revolution on the regulations . Quite simply the team Red Bull was clearly favored to be able to make it more competitive and then trying to be able to collect that interest on the formula which had waned .
    The interest of Formula 1 in the years 2008/2010 has touched the bottom , and by doing so they wanted to bring the Formula 1 back to important interests.
    Unfortunately, doing so has ruined a sport that today has an interest equal to moto GP if not less .
    I am an aeronautical engineer , and I will not go into intricate details , unfortunately the advantage of Red Bull on the big is remarkable, that advantage has delayed the development of the car.
    A standardized level the gap can not be bridged before 3/4 years , and it is what we have seen in recent years.
    I'm sorry for the fans of Red Bull, but it was a historical concept of F1 to do know .

    team orders destroy real racing, new engines destroy sound, FIA disallowing engine in-season development destroy inter-team battles. fuck team orders, fuck the turbos, bring back the v8s, fuck the system. no wonder teams exit and fans left to watch other motorsport. isnt it embarrassing that the so-called "Pinnacle of Motorsport" has cars with lap times close to that of GP2 cars? U know what would make F1 turn out the best in the world? Same engine, same car. let the drivers tweak to their own liking. then you will get racing and you will see the best driver.

    im dont follow racing a lot.....but once in a while i watch this and i feel that this whole concept of teammates and partners is just stupid. You race to win. thats that. you shouldnt have to slow down or to ask the team to have someone move out of the way.

    • @danielmatos2533
      @danielmatos2533 8 лет назад

      +Thomas Gibson A race is a race, you are there to win or to end up in any other position. And it's not like this happened once, if Webber was that good, he had plenty off races during several years to show how he was the best, but he always came in second to Vettel no matter what.
      And if Webber was so naive that expected Vettel to gladly accept 2nd place, then that by itself shows his 2nd place mentality. And that's not a champion's mentality.

    • @gibbo01264
      @gibbo01264 8 лет назад

      +Daniel Matos I get that, but like with any other race, each driver has a strategy and Webber's clearly trumped Vettel's....so in the interests of the team and preserving the cars, they told them to power down the cars and save wear and tear...It's a blatant stab in the back....Vettel even admitted it himself after the race

    • @Chewbroccolii
      @Chewbroccolii 8 лет назад

      +Thomas Gibson you are correct! if you dont like team orders or if you do they are there and legal. They told seb to turn in down and he did not. Vettel came in at the end of webbers career. everyone seems to forget him in the jaguar days where he smashed all his team mates and out preformed the car majorly. He use to be the qualifying specialist. But like all great racers they tend to get slower as they get older and Webber is no different. But ifs and buts this is old news now...

      SiamkaterLP dude...these kids are just aussi fanboys who know nothing about engines and cars...the fact that Ricciardo has won just 3 races in 70 starts tell you all about how average he's...and that guy is 25 already...!! All he can do is 3rd or 4th at his best when others are having a bad day.

    • @MrOmnos
      @MrOmnos 9 лет назад +2

      lala mal yeah...fuck off !! When you look at great f1 racers who have won championships...look at their win rates..even when they were really young and not even the favorites..his is not anywhere near them...!! If you can't win races...you are not good enough to be champion, doesn't matter how many times you hit the podium .He had one good season...and kids like you think he's god. He's fucking average who wins when others are having a bad day. All he can be is next Nico Roseberg...who shares the podium most of the times but has never see what a championship trophy looks like.!!

      Still doesn't give him the right to undermine the teams authority. There is a chain of command that needs to be respected. Basically see doesn't know his place. The team encourage this by when they pander to him
