'Unbreakable ' was definitely a big hit for them back in 2010. Dawn Michele is a great singer- songwriter. Band is very well known in the Christian rock world 🌎.

MY favorite song by them. Just insane. I heard it in the fall of 2007 and it blew my mind. Raw but clean edgy production. The guitars at the ending after she finishes singing is always a favorite. Makes the song a lot less monotonous

When I'm listened to music while working this is one of the few songs that I cant help but mouth when it comes on. As someone who grew up in a Christian household, I have an appreciation for lowkey Christian bands like Fireflight and Skillet that deliver without preaching. Definitely made music more enjoyable for me.

This song was the first song I ever heard from Fireflight thanks to The Rock radio station which often played this song (The Rock is still around today just fyi). This song also has an official acoustic version which is slower and in a lower pitch (light green instead of yellow). Very iconic and still holds up to this day in my opinion thanks in part to the vocals, though the song as a whole is really good too, again in my opinion.

My band back in the day played a couple shows with fire flight. Seems like they are from Florida. Great people. Also, as a musician I wanna point Out I appreciate the use of the number system lol

great tune. I've been a Fireflight fan for a long time and this song has always been one of my favorites. And I think I fell in love with Dawn's voice the first time I heard it ;) . How long until the next Fireflight vid? I know 'For Those Who Wait' has been in the que for a long time....

Well you did grade it higher by .2 you gave Desperate an 8.3 :) I really love her vocals and this song! I hope you can do a Flyleaf reaction to "I'm so sick"

Full disclosure: Fireflight is one of my all time favorite bands, so I am definitely biased.
Complete agree with the review analysis. "Desperate" is, for me, one of the "weaker" of their "good" tracks saved on the balance of being one of the better live performances. "Unbreakable" is certainly Fireflight's signature song and deserves to be widely heard. I've yet to meet someone that didnt care for it.
For the albums that followed, no one track ever quite matched Unbreakable's anthemic appeal (not to say as good, just different) until last year with the release of "Who We Are". It's the Fireflight we've been waiting for. It doesn't exceed Unbreakable but certainly meets it on the specified terms. "Bury the Dead" is also a good as is "How To Fly" (Getting into Lacey Sturm territory with this one). Hell, all the new songs are good. If looking for high energy, female fronted modern rock, "Who We Are: The Head and The Heart" should be top of the list. The heaviest Fireflight to date.
Band at this the time of Unbreakable was:
    Dawn Michele - Vocals
    Justin Cox - Guitar
    Glenn Drennen - Guitar
    Wendy Drennen - Bass
    Phee Shorb - Drums

Hahaha...I thought my request was for The Dictators, "Burn Baby Burn"--which I thought became defunct with your policy change a few months ago! I did include a link to this song in my comment to the earlier one, suggesting it showed off her vocals better--I liked the purity of her tone, not being a great fan of "warbling"...I was thinking, now, since the precious metal tiers came on, that all the request stuff was coming through the Patreon bunch. I didn't think the "ask nicely and include a link" request style was still workable. Hmmm...and I guess I'm still not sure...hehehe... The rest of this band's stuff isn't quite so enthralling. I don't know what their background is, but the religious overtones are evident, though subdued--like with Firefly...But, with Fireflight, there's a definite dearth of sizzle (I miss the solo sections) that makes it hard to get excited about the song after a few listens. It is punchy, though! Good review, Dave--and generous score!

OK so that was my song request so I can request another one now. I’m really happy you enjoyed this one I really thought you would. My next request is Lucy from skillet. But you should be warmed it’s a much more mellow song for them. But John shows off some of his voice power in it ruclips.net/video/WIHbxrI5TCk/видео.html
